It's Thursday and here's what's coming up on Newsround:

The mystery of the England team cuddly toy.

Former tennis world number one Maria Sharapova has been banned

from playing in any major tennis competitions for two years

because she used a drug that was banned for sports stars.

I've been looking into this story and finding out what it means

for the tennis star.

She is a five-time Grand Slam champion and one of the most

famous female tennis stars of her generation, but in January,

she failed a drugs test at the Australian Open.

Some athletes take drugs to help them do better in their sport,

but authorities have banned many of these because people

think it's cheating.

Athletes are tested regularly and if they are caught

using any of the banned drugs then they can be stopped

from playing in competitions.

In January, the rules changed and the medicine that

Maria Sharapova had been taking for ten years was added to a list

of drugs that sports stars were not allowed to take anymore.

Sharapova says she didn't know this and she also didn't tell anyone

she was using the drug because she says she knew it

under a different name.

Even though she says she broke the rules unintentionally,

Maria still apologised.

I did fail the test and I take full possibility for it.

Sharapova is now 29 which means she will be 31 when her

ban is lifted.

So how will this ban affect her sporting career?

Having not played any competitive tennis for two years,

it would be very hard for her to try and find the level again

that she would need to beat the other very best

players in the world.

Maria Sharapova says she will appeal the court's decision

as she believes her ban is unfair.

But for now, the next time we see the Olympic medallist could be

in the Paris Open in 2018.

However, Ed is in a little bit of trouble because the people

and are suing him for ?13 million.

The mystery of England team cuddly toy.

Defender Chris Smalling has been seen a number of times this week

carrying the toy lion.

When he was asked about it he said that the team are sharing the lion

and that all would become clear over the next few weeks.
