Hi, guys. Martin here with news of which Voice judge is leaving the

show on the way. Plus, I find out why flies and

fighter jets have more in common than you might think.

This is Newsround. But first, to the question of

whether Team GB's golden era of cycling success will carry on into

the next Olympics. That's because the man behind Britain's rise to

world domination has stepped down today. Ayshah's been looking into

why it's a big deal. Chris Hoy, Laura Trott, Victoria

Pendleton, Jason Kenny. All gold medal winners at London 2012 and

some of Britain's biggest cycling stars. But the man who helped them

become a success has today announced that he's stepping down. It's from

here at Manchester Velodrome that Sir Dave Brailsford masterminded the

route to Olympic glory and made Team GB one of the best sporting teams in

the world. Since he started his job as Performance Director in 2004,

he's been knighted and has won the BBC Sports Personality of the Year

Coach Award twice. But it's his Olympic achievements that are most

impressive. Team GB won a total of 43 cycling medals in just over 100

years, before he took over. But in the three Olympics he's overseen,

they've won 30 medals, including 18 golds. So how did he do it? What Sir

Dave Brailsford did is, he used to look at all the little things that

went into a rider's preparation for competition, likely pillows they

sleep one night to have around the wheels are on their bicycle, to even

things like how long they would wash their hands. All those little things

together ensure that the riders in competition were at peak

performance. How much Will British cycling missing? I think they will

miss him a lot will stop he has enjoyed a lot of success in the last

few years, but he has left a system in place to ensure this can carry

on. Sir Dave will continue working with Team Sky's road racers, who

he's helped to win the Tour de France for the last two years. It

won't be until the next Olympics in 2016 that we'll find out how Team GB

get on without the man with the golden touch.

To America next, and a big debate about keeping killer whales in

captivity. These schoolgirls delivered 1.2 million signatures

supporting a campaign to get SeaWorld in San Diego to stop using

orcas like this in entertainment shows. Backers of the campaign say

it's cruel, but the people who work with the orcas at SeaWorld say it

helps with research they couldn't do in the wild. A decision on the ban's

been delayed until next year while law makers look at both sides of the

argument. Onto music, and it's bad news for

all you Voice fans out there. Watch out for the flashes. Kylie Minogue's

announced today that she's quitting the show after just one series. She

says she can't commit to another one because she's going on tour. There's

no news yet on who'll replace her. And in football, the Champions

League semifinal draw was made today, and here's how it looks.

do a fruit fly and a fighter jet have in common? Well, actually a lot

more than you probably think. We've all been there. You're trying

to have some food in the kitchen, when you hear the buzz of a fly.

But, however hard you try, you just can't quite swat it! Now, scientists

in America think they know why. They've been studying how they fly

using special high-speed cameras. This clip, slowed down 300 times,

shows the flight of a fly after it was shown a picture of a potential

The team found that flies work just like fighter jets to avoid an

oncoming threat. They can make a banked turn to change direction

within a split second. And the scientists are amazed at how fast a

fly's brain can work, even though it's the size of a grain of salt! We

could already see it beginning to change direction within about a

single wing beat, which is only one 5000th of a second. Researchers also

used a special robot called Robo-fly, which flaps in a giant oil

tank to study how wings move through the air. It's being seen as an

exciting insight into the life of flies.

But they still can't tell me how to get anywhere nearer to catching one

of them. And some cheeky chimp news to

finish. Kansas City Zoo in America had to be closed after several

chimps escaped their enclosures and went on the loose. Security cameras

picked up this one scaling the zoo walls. Visitors were told to stay

inside while zoo staff tracked them down.
