First to an incredible discovery by scientists that will help us

Because of the force of gravity, if you drop something,

it falls down to the ground instead of up.

Now for around 100 years, scientists have had ideas about how

gravity might change in space and create ripples just like waves.

Now, an international team has been able to prove that those

theories are true. Leah has got this one.

Black holes, the strangest objects in the universe. They cannot be

seen, but scientists know they are there because of the way they move

things around them. Now, group of researchers think they have made one

of the biggest discoveries in 100 years. In a galaxy far, far away,

two black holes smashed together more than a billion years ago. It is

only now that the shock waves have reached earth. When you consider

that these black holes spiralled in more than a billion years ago, and

the signal has been travelling to us since then, and we turned on our

model of what the scientists found. First, two black holes spin towards

each other, giving off waves of gravity, which is a force which

attracts things towards each other. These waves get stronger and

stronger until the black holes eventually collide. Professor

science. Gravitational waves provide a completely new way of looking at

the universe. The ability to detect them has the potential to

revolutionise astronomy. But why is it so important? By scanning the

skies, astronomers can use these waves of gravity to find black

holes, things which have been completely invisible to telescopes

until now. Scientists hope this will open up parts of the universe which

have never been known about before. Tech experts in Switzerland have

taught drones to find their way through forests to help find lost

or injured walkers. Researchers think that roughly 1,000

people make emergency calls for help from forests and mountains

in Switzerland alone. With this new ability to follow

man-made trails in forests, drones will be able to help

in search and rescue missions. It is hoped they will help teams

to get to injured To football now, and it has been

a funny old season in the Premier League,

with lots of the big clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United

struggling. And Leicester City are

currently top of the table. Make sure you're watching at 8.15,

because Martin has been finding out why they have been doing

so well this season. Leicester City have done so well

because they have got the police, the confidence, they have had a

wonderful string of results, and they have got a team with some

superstars like Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, but they have also got

everyone else who is producing as best they possibly can, players like

Danny Drinkwater and Kasper Schmeichel. Their defence has been

brilliant, and they are scoring goals as well. They have been the

surprise of the season. Every neutral would love to see them win

the league this season. Earlier in the week,

we told you about nine-year-old George, who won the Goal

of the Month competition at Everton - beating the club's big stars

like Ross Barkley and Aaron Lennon. Well, George has picked

up his trophy from Everton manager And he got the chance to meet some

of the Everton team, too. Hundreds of manatees are heading

to warm waters in the US to help them survive the freezing

winter weather. The big mammals can suffer from cold

stress when water temperature drops below 20 degrees Celsius,

causing them to lose weight But more than 300 manatees have

crowded together under water at Three Sisters Springs in Florida,

where they will be much more comfortable as they wait
