Hi guys - Ayshah here with buzzing bees and major panda news on the way

Let's go straight to Edinburgh zoo then. Jenny's there with some

exciting news about what could be the first ever Giant panda cub about

to be born in Britain. Jenny, what's going on?

Thanks. The zookeepers are excited because they believe they are female

giant panda, Tian Tian, is segment. And she might get hurt by the end of

this month. This enclosure is not wear Tian Tian is. She is being kept

away from the public. But, behind me is the proud father to be, Yang

Guang. He is chilling out, eating bamboo. Clearly not fussed about the

media storm. But this is a very big deal. Because if all goes well, this

will be the first ever giant panda cub to be born in Britain. Panda

pregnancies are very difficult to confirm. Experts will not now 100%

until she actually gets breath. I am joined by the director of the giant

pandas. What makes you think she is pregnant? She is spending a lot of

time eating and drinking. All the tests we have shows she is pregnant.

It takes about three years for pandas to settle into a new home. I

am sure she will go all the way through. To get her ready, we will

close down the panda house so she has peace and quiet and no

disturbance. Pandas are very nice sensitive when they are pregnant.

can get involved in. Scientists want your help to record the number of

different bumblebees across the UK. It's all because they're worried

their numbers are in decline. Here's This might look like a scene from

Spy Kids. In a way, it is cause we're on a mission to find as many

bumblebees as we can. According to be searchers, bumblebee populations

have crashed in the last 80 years in the UK. Two species have become

extinct. Scientists are worried that changes to the environment by making

numbers fall and they want people to start noting every time they spot

one. So far, over 2000 schools have signed up to the big on both the

discovery. We're taking lots of pictures of them and then we put

those on our blog. Then we write a message and send it. Doctor Helen

Roy has been looking at the decline of the bumblebee population. For a

whole variety of reasons bumblebees and indeed other insects are

declining. Habitat is important. Flowers are important for bumblebees

so they can get the energy they need. There has been a decline in

flowers. With 24 species of bumblebee in Britain, how can you

tell them apart? This is the banded orange tail B. The three banded

white tail is also a back garden favourite. You may have spotted this

one too. We have spotted around 40 bumblebees in the last hour. All of

these will be entered into the scientific study. I think we have

bothered the bumblebees enough. Time for us to buzz off...
