Hello, I'm Hayley with all the latest

:00:00.:00:00.

from around the world this morning, coming up in the next few minutes.

:00:07.:00:10.

The Dino-dynamic beast that lives on both sea and land.

:00:11.:00:13.

And the cute lions cubs make their first public appearance.

:00:14.:00:25.

Let's start with the very latest stop on Newsround's

:00:26.:00:28.

It's just six days until people there vote on whether the country

:00:29.:00:33.

should become independent from the rest of the UK.

:00:34.:00:36.

Ayshah has been there getting a sense of the mood,

:00:37.:00:38.

Hello, Hayley. Well, everyone in Scotland is talking about the future

:00:39.:00:58.

of their country, none more so than yesterday, when thousands of

:00:59.:01:02.

teenagers came to Glasgow to talk about some of the big questions that

:01:03.:01:05.

they had about Scottish independence. I spoke to people who

:01:06.:01:12.

wanted Scotland to be independent, as well as those who wanted it to

:01:13.:01:16.

remain part of the UK. The debate was a big deal, and all eyes were on

:01:17.:01:24.

some of the youngest voters. A quick selfie on a very long

:01:25.:01:28.

journey. These guys are travelling almost 200 miles to Glasgow. They,

:01:29.:01:34.

along with more than 7000 other teenagers, are taking part in a

:01:35.:01:37.

massive debate on the future of Scotland. The big question - whether

:01:38.:01:41.

Scotland should go independent or stay part of the UK. I think it will

:01:42.:01:46.

be a good experience, finding out what the country would be like if it

:01:47.:01:50.

went independent. I am currently undecided. I am pretty sure I will

:01:51.:01:57.

vote yes, but I can still change. This is where everyone is gathered,

:01:58.:02:00.

this massive arena in the city centre. Where are you from?

:02:01.:02:09.

Aberdeen. It took us three hours on the bus. This debate is a big deal

:02:10.:02:14.

for these 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds, who will be getting to

:02:15.:02:18.

vote for the first time. There is a bit of a party atmosphere. What are

:02:19.:02:30.

you voting? Yes. Why? I just think that we are able to cope and I do

:02:31.:02:35.

not see why we should stay somewhere where we are not happy. What about

:02:36.:02:42.

you? Definitely no. Because I just do not think it will work out. I am

:02:43.:02:52.

thinking, I am undecided. You can see how many kids are here. There

:02:53.:02:57.

are thousands. The last ones are piling in, taking their seats. Soon,

:02:58.:03:04.

it is down to the serious stuff. How would independence affect job

:03:05.:03:09.

opportunities? Why risk everything? It is not whether we should be

:03:10.:03:12.

risking it, it is whether we should settle for that. We will have

:03:13.:03:17.

challenges as a country, but we will have control of our own resources.

:03:18.:03:23.

We have huge control over health, education and everything, but we

:03:24.:03:25.

stand together with other people, too. So, did the debate to change

:03:26.:03:31.

anyone's mind? I am staying with yes. I am still a no vote. I was

:03:32.:03:38.

undecided but now I will be voting yes. I feel we would be better off

:03:39.:03:44.

by ourselves. The no dancers were much better thought out, so it made

:03:45.:03:48.

me more confident in my choice. I am sticking with no. I am still voting

:03:49.:03:55.

yes. Will you still be friends after this? I hope so! I think there will

:03:56.:03:59.

be some tension but we will work it out. Well, I hope they will still be

:04:00.:04:06.

friends, but there are a lot of tense conversations going on at the

:04:07.:04:09.

moment. Newsround will be on the road next week, visiting Stirling,

:04:10.:04:17.

Edinburgh and Aberdeen. Also, the big day is getting closer to it is

:04:18.:04:22.

next Thursday, 18th of September, and we will have all of the latest.

:04:23.:04:24.

Make sure you do not miss it. Next to South Africa, where

:04:25.:04:26.

in the next few hours, one of the world's most famous athletes will

:04:27.:04:29.

find out if he's going to jail. Millions of people around

:04:30.:04:32.

the world have been watching the He was accused

:04:33.:04:34.

of murdering his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, in February last

:04:35.:04:39.

year but yesterday the judge decided The trial is not over though,

:04:40.:04:42.

because he could still be found guilty of doing it

:04:43.:04:49.

by accident today. And if that happens, he could

:04:50.:04:51.

go to prison for a long time. And remember, there's help

:04:52.:04:54.

and advice on the Newsround website In other news - scientists say

:04:55.:04:57.

a giant fossil found in the Sahara desert in Africa confirms that some

:04:58.:05:04.

dinosaurs could swim. The 95 million-year-old skeleton

:05:05.:05:06.

belonged to a dinosaur called Spinosaurus and scientists studying

:05:07.:05:09.

the ancient fossil believe it would have been happier splashing around

:05:10.:05:13.

in water than walking on land. Other ancient creatures did live

:05:14.:05:16.

in the water, but they were marine That makes Spinosaurus the

:05:17.:05:21.

only-known semi-aquatic dinosaur. Finally, the cutest little lion

:05:22.:05:30.

cubs you'll see this week. This was the scene

:05:31.:05:34.

at San Diego zoo in America when the four cubs were shown off to

:05:35.:05:38.

the public for the first time. To the delight of visitors, the cubs

:05:39.:05:41.

provided lots of photo opportunities The one male

:05:42.:05:45.

and two females were born in June. But this is the first time they have

:05:46.:05:51.

been allowed out of their den. Keepers tell them apart by shaving

:05:52.:05:54.

a small patern in their fur.
