Hi, I'm Naz.

0:00:030:00:04

It's Friday morning and this is Newsround.

0:00:040:00:06

Here's what's coming up.

0:00:060:00:13

And Tim Peake talks about his time in space.

0:00:130:00:18

It's all Go for Pokemon as the game is released in the UK.

0:00:180:00:21

First to the sad news that there has been an attack in the seaside

0:00:260:00:29

resort of Nice in France.

0:00:290:00:30

It happened last night during a fireworks display.

0:00:300:00:34

Here's BBC reporter Chris Mason.

0:00:340:00:37

Lots of people were out at a celebration, it's

0:00:370:00:39

called Bastille Day, and it's when lots of French people

0:00:390:00:42

go out to celebrate everything that they think is good

0:00:420:00:46

about their country, and lots of families were gathering

0:00:460:00:49

in this city called Nice for a fireworks display.

0:00:490:00:54

It looks like a man in a lorry drove into the crowd

0:00:540:00:59

and did it on purpose.

0:00:590:01:01

The leader of France, the President, he's called Francois Hollande,

0:01:010:01:05

said it was terrible.

0:01:050:01:07

He did think it was a terrorist attack but he reported

0:01:070:01:09

that the driver of the lorry had been killed.

0:01:090:01:13

But, sadly, at least 84 other people have been killed.

0:01:130:01:18

Lots and lots has been done to try and support the families of those

0:01:180:01:22

who have lost some of their loved ones and those who were hurt

0:01:220:01:25

in the attack.

0:01:250:01:27

Lots of emergency services and ambulances arriving

0:01:270:01:29

at the scene very, very quickly.

0:01:290:01:32

And our government here in the UK is saying it's doing all it can

0:01:320:01:37

to help France and to help any British people who were

0:01:370:01:39

in Nice at the time.

0:01:390:01:43

If you want to find out more head over to the Newsround website.

0:01:430:01:46

And remember if you're upset about anything you hear in the news,

0:01:460:01:49

there's lots of advice there too.

0:01:490:01:54

Tim Peake arrived back on Earth over three weeks ago but now he's talking

0:01:540:01:58

about the highs of living in space for the first time.

0:01:580:02:02

Tim Peake floating through the laboratory here.

0:02:020:02:05

Major Tim Peake, the first British man to live in space.

0:02:050:02:12

During his six-month stay, he circled Earth 16 times a day,

0:02:120:02:16

enjoying a view of our planet that few get to see.

0:02:160:02:22

The Space Station is a remarkable place to live and work

0:02:230:02:27

and it's very exciting.

0:02:270:02:30

You're always being challenged.

0:02:300:02:32

You're never bored and so it's a great place to be.

0:02:320:02:35

Tim adapted to weightlessness and living onboard the International

0:02:350:02:38

Space Station with ease.

0:02:380:02:39

Brushing his teeth, taking showers, carrying out experiments and even

0:02:390:02:43

eating scrambled eggs.

0:02:430:02:46

In about five minutes that will be ready to eat.

0:02:460:02:49

But life was anything but normal for Tim.

0:02:490:02:51

He became the first brave Brit to complete a space walk,

0:02:510:02:55

venturing outside his temporary home 250 miles above Earth.

0:02:550:03:01

The spacewalk was definitely probably the greatest highlight,

0:03:010:03:04

but also things like capturing the Dragon spacecraft,

0:03:040:03:07

the visiting vehicle that I had to capture.

0:03:070:03:10

That was really a very demanding moment, so I was really

0:03:100:03:12

very happy to do that.

0:03:120:03:15

He also ran the London Marathon, setting a world record

0:03:150:03:18

for the fastest race in space.

0:03:180:03:22

And was named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

0:03:220:03:24

But after six months of flying high, Tim began his journey home,

0:03:240:03:28

hurtling down through the atmosphere four times faster

0:03:280:03:32

than the speed of sound.

0:03:320:03:34

You need to be ready for it.

0:03:340:03:36

If you're not ready for it, then it will really take

0:03:360:03:38

you by surprise.

0:03:380:03:39

It is very loud and yes, the flames coming past at first

0:03:390:03:42

because as you start to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere, anything

0:03:420:03:45

that can burn on the outside of the spacecraft will burn.

0:03:450:03:50

The windows start to burn over, to brown over as well,

0:03:500:03:53

but you are expecting that.

0:03:530:03:54

You've been told about it.

0:03:540:03:55

It's great to be back to see friends and family,

0:03:550:03:58

but I've had a chance to look back at some of the photographs

0:03:580:04:01

and reflect on the mission and it was just truly

0:04:010:04:03

a wonderful experience.

0:04:030:04:05

Some huge gaming news.

0:04:050:04:06

Pokemon Go has officially been launched in the UK.

0:04:060:04:09

It's a game for your smartphone that anyone over the age of nine can play

0:04:090:04:13

out in public areas.

0:04:130:04:15

It's already becoming a global hit, but some people

0:04:150:04:18

are worried about how safe it is for children to use.

0:04:180:04:22

Hayley was let out of the office to see what the game is all about.

0:04:220:04:25

Now where's that Pikachu hiding?

0:04:270:04:31

The original Pokemon is the game where computer-generated creatures

0:04:310:04:33

battle with each other to reach a higher level.

0:04:330:04:38

But Pokemon has just got real.

0:04:380:04:41

These pocket monsters can now appear on your street,

0:04:410:04:44

your garden, even on the bus.

0:04:440:04:46

It basically uses the GPS on your phone so that you can now

0:04:460:04:50

walk around the real world and see virtual reality monsters.

0:04:500:04:56

It has already proved a monster hit around the world and now it's been

0:04:560:04:59

unleashed in the UK.

0:04:590:05:01

But some people think there are risks when playing this

0:05:010:05:04

game in the real world.

0:05:040:05:06

There are three things that we think you should think about,

0:05:060:05:09

so the first thing is making sure you are always talking

0:05:090:05:12

to your parents about where you're going and who you're talking to.

0:05:120:05:14

Second thing is about strangers, so not meeting up with strangers

0:05:140:05:17

in places so that you can find different Pokemons.

0:05:170:05:19

The third thing is, it might be really tempting to be constantly

0:05:190:05:22

looking at your phone to find the Pokemon,

0:05:220:05:25

but really look around everywhere that you're going to make sure that

0:05:250:05:28

you're keeping yourself safe when you're out and about.

0:05:280:05:31

The app itself is free to download on your phone,

0:05:310:05:34

but there are things you have to buy with real money once

0:05:340:05:36

you get into the game.

0:05:360:05:38

It also uses a lot of your battery and your internet data,

0:05:380:05:41

but fans of the app are loving the fact that it's taking

0:05:410:05:44

gamers off their sofa and into the outdoors.

0:05:440:05:46

Now where is that Pikachu?

0:05:460:05:49

Come here, you!

0:05:490:05:54

That's all from me.

0:05:540:05:56

Bye bye.
