A search and rescue operation is underway in southern Japan.

It's after the second powerful earthquake there in

less than 36 hours.

At least 26 people are known to have died in the latest 'quake

which was bigger than the first one.

Emergency services are working to help all the people

who have been affected.

Food and blankets are being given to those who have

been made homeless.

Space, now, and right now Nasa are trying out a new bit of kit

on the International Space Station.

An inflatable space pod to is being attached to the ISS

in a delicate operation which will take about four hours.

The blow up pod is designed to give more room for astronauts living

in space and if successful could be used for future trips to mars.

A solar-powered plane called the Solar Impulse two is getting

ready to continue its trip around the world after being grounded

for nine months for repairs.

The team's goal is to be the first plane to go around the globe

using only power from the sun.

Ayshah's been looking at their incredible journey so far.

This plane is the solar impulse Two,

and this is what makes it pretty cool.

It weighs the same as a family car,

20 minutes at a time, it's ten times slower

than a normal playing, with a

top speed of only 62 mph.

So, what's done so far?

In March 2015, the journey began in Abu Dhabi in the

Middle East, travelling to Muscat in Oman

in 13 hours and one minute.

Since then, it's flown all over for stopping off at eight

places around the world.

Then it was the record-breaking big one, Nanjing in

China, to Kalaeloa, in Hawaii.

Kellaway the 8900 kilometres journey didn't go exactly

according to the plan, as it had to land in Nagoya

in Japan to be fixed. But during the five-day journey, the

pilot broke the endurance record for a solo flight.

It's now at the next stage of its epic adventure,

but will have to wait for sunny weather to get going.

But there is still a long way to go before completing its

super-cool mission of flying around the globe powered by the sun.

Formula one now and Lewis Hamilton will start from the back of the grid

for tomorrow's chinese Grand Prix.

The reigning world champion suffered a technical problem

and spun on a patch of wet track which caused a red flag

earlier in the session.

Boxer Nicola Adams has qualified for the Olympic team for Rio.

It's one of the busiest times of year for sheep farmers

when thousands of lambs are born.

It all started in January and comes to an end this month,

so Leah went to a farm in North Wales to find out more.

BAA!

The beginning of a new day.

And the start of new life.

For Tom and Mally, it's the best time of year because they get

to help their parents deliver thousands of lambs here on the farm,

and bring new life.

This sheep's just had two lambs, they will go in a little pen

with her, and they will get fed and all that.

What's the matter?

What's the best thing about lambing season for you?

Well, out here there's always something different to do.

Well, it's mainly really fast, you have to be

up really early if you want to help.

And now the moment we've been waiting for.

Tom is able to safely deliver a lamb, after years of practice.

4,000 are expected to be born here this lambing season which makes

it a really busy time.

What I enjoy is lambing the sheep because it's fun

when you get to learn how to pull them.

Last year we had four that had four lambs.

After a wobbly start to life, each new lamb is getting ready

to explore their new home.

Well, almost.

Kevin Simm, winner of The Voice 2016 couldn't quite crack the top

20 with his debut track All You Good Friends.

It reached number 24 on the Official Chart.

Kevin won the talent show last weekend.

And finally - it wouldn't be Newsround without

a cute animal to end on.

This is Nora, a Polar Bear at Columbus Zoo in Ohio, America.

The cub went on show for the first time,

splashing around and going for a swim in her enclosure.

She caused quite a stir as hundreds of people waited to catch

a glimpse of the cute bear.
