Friday, including: Why one of Britain's best won't be a Wimbledon

this summer. Plus... The new discovery they are calling Earth's

almost identical cousin. But first, American's President

Barack Obama says he's not convinced a new deal to try and calm the

tensions in Ukraine will be put into action. It follows a big meeting

between key figures from the US, the EU, Russia and Ukraine yesterday.

They agreed that armed groups supporting more Russian control

should stop taking over government buildings and airports in the east

of the country. It follows days of clashes between those groups and the

Ukrainian army. Obama says he hopes all sides will help make it happen

but is not sure they will. I don't think we can be sure of anything at

this point. There is the prospect diplomacy may de-escalate the

situation and move towards the goal of letting the true -- Ukrainians

making their own decisions. And you can find out about everything that's

website. The most earth-like planet ever

found has been discovered by space scientists. It's called Kepler 186

F. Catchy name! It was discovered by US agency NASA. They're excited

because they say it has the potential to hold water - meaning

there is an area on the surface where life could survive. So how

similar is it to earth? Kepler 186 F orbits a star which is

cooler and dimmer than the sun. So while we may have found a planet

that is the same size as Earth and receives a similar amount of energy

to what earth receives it orbits a very different star, so perhaps

instead of an earth twin we have discovered an earth cousin.

Next - to my worst nightmare. Reports of supersized rats roaming

UK towns and cities have been rife lately. It's thought that wet

weather has forced the furry creatures into urban areas where

they've been feasting on all our scraps. But is there any truth in

the rumours that rats are getting bigger and bigger? We sent Nel to

find out. Rummaging in bins and eating fast

food, now there are reports these scavengers are on the increase in

number and in size. There are an estimated 10.5 million rats in the

UK and it is the job of pest controllers to catch them. The last

nine to 12 months, rats are getting bigger. Everyone I speak to in the

industry have reported the same. We are going to a private beauty spot

where there is a growing report of rats.

Why are they getting bigger? It could be more people living in our

cities, the way we manage our waste and the wet winter and floods. How

have they affected it? The storm drains filled with water so the rats

had to get out of there and go somewhere else. We have not had

floods for a while but they have moved into the cities a bit further

and they will not go back if they have loads of food. Are the rats

getting bigger? Will they continue to grow? What makes an animal change

shape depends on what's around it. If there is a lot of food to eat,

there can be rats that can grow to be much bigger than they are now,

perhaps the size of a sheep or a cow. They have not evolved to become

bigger, they have not changed from rats a few hundred years ago or even

thousands of years ago. There has not been enough time for that, they

are simply well-fed rats. Rat catchers like sean are calling on

the government to allow the use of stronger poisons, but until then it

looks like they are in for a busy summer.

Some Tennis news now, British number one Laura Robson is going to miss

out on Wimbledon this year after announcing she has to have surgery

on her left wrist. Laura's currently number 64 in the world and has

completed just one match this year, she struggled with the injury and

had an early exit from the Australian Open in January. She's

also going to miss the French Open, but hopes she'll be back in action

for the US Open in August. Last up, the Royal couple have been

getting into the Easter spirit down under as they visited the Sydney

Royal Easter Show. William and Kate were greeted by huge crowds and

admired the local fruit and veg before and watching farmers sheer a
