Martin here with your Saturday news update.

:00:00.:00:00.

Stay tuned because there's all this coming up:

:00:07.:00:15.

Touchdown is confirmed at 415 am Central Time.

:00:16.:00:20.

We say welcome home to British Astronaut Tim Peake.

:00:21.:00:22.

Plus, find out why all these kids are running.

:00:23.:00:24.

British astronaut Tim Peake landed safely back on Earth this morning

:00:25.:00:38.

after spending six months on board the International Space Station.

:00:39.:00:40.

After getting out of the Soyuz capsule that returned him

:00:41.:00:42.

from space, Tim said one of the first things he noticed

:00:43.:00:45.

was that Earth smells really strongly!

:00:46.:00:50.

A group of space fans gathered at the National Space Centre

:00:51.:00:52.

Because it was going at such a fast speed, I thought

:00:53.:01:00.

it was going to crash, but then I realised, yeah,

:01:01.:01:03.

there were thrusters on the bottom to slow it down and then

:01:04.:01:06.

Quite nerve-wracking because we just didn't know what would happen.

:01:07.:01:09.

Me and my mum had been following him on social networks

:01:10.:01:12.

To actually see the person that had posted all of those wonderful

:01:13.:01:16.

pictures come down on to Earth, it was quite a phenomenal feeling.

:01:17.:01:26.

I think he will be pretty happy to see his family.

:01:27.:01:30.

There are just five days days to go until a big vote

:01:31.:01:33.

on the European Union that will affect all of our

:01:34.:01:36.

Welcome to the Spanish sun coast, the Costa del Sol.

:01:37.:01:43.

It is one of Europe's holiday hotspots and lots of British

:01:44.:01:46.

families live here, but next week's vote on whether we stay in or leave

:01:47.:01:49.

the European Union could affect their lives and your summer

:01:50.:01:52.

For many of us, Spain is a place we like to come to on our holidays,

:01:53.:02:19.

but thousands of people from the UK have moved to live

:02:20.:02:22.

And it is not just Spain - more than a million Brits live

:02:23.:02:27.

It is wonderful living in Spain because of the wildlife

:02:28.:02:35.

You can just go to the beach any time you really want.

:02:36.:02:45.

The music, the dance, the celebrations we have here.

:02:46.:02:47.

The European Union is a bit like a club that the UK is part of.

:02:48.:02:56.

It is made up of 28 countries who all have an agreement to make

:02:57.:03:01.

life as easy as possible for those who want to travel, live and work

:03:02.:03:05.

Now there is a vote called a referendum on whether the UK

:03:06.:03:11.

People are now asking what that might mean for the Brits that live

:03:12.:03:18.

Those who want to stay in the European Union say

:03:19.:03:28.

it is easier to travel, live and work in countries

:03:29.:03:31.

Those that want to leave the EU say Brits living abroad would still be

:03:32.:03:42.

allowed to stay and holiday to EU countries would not be affected,

:03:43.:03:47.

so what do kids from the UK who live here think the vote

:03:48.:03:50.

I think if we leave it will be a bit harder for my parents

:03:51.:03:59.

to do their job because I have lived here for six years.

:04:00.:04:06.

to do their job because I have lived here for six years,

:04:07.:04:09.

I think if it changed my dad might have to get a visa to go back

:04:10.:04:13.

to England and work here at the same time and it might just be a bit

:04:14.:04:17.

The community with Europe and the UK is very unique and I think

:04:18.:04:22.

I think it will also affect the friends travelling to Spain

:04:23.:04:29.

It might make it a bit harder for them.

:04:30.:04:36.

To be honest, I am not really too fussed about it because it doesn't

:04:37.:04:42.

As long as everything is fine at the end of the day,

:04:43.:04:49.

There's loads more about the EU referendum over on our website.

:04:50.:04:57.

Head online to find out everything you need to know and hear

:04:58.:05:00.

more from kids across the UK and around Europe.

:05:01.:05:02.

Almost 3,000 kids across the country are taking part in a new running

:05:03.:05:05.

The aim of the festival is to get you to enjoy being active

:05:06.:05:09.

and learn confidence to take on new challenges.

:05:10.:05:12.

Here's what some kids taking part had to say.

:05:13.:05:14.

Today is the furthest distance I have ever run.

:05:15.:05:21.

It made me feel amazing, so I could believe in myself.

:05:22.:05:23.

I was really proud of myself because I have never ran

:05:24.:05:26.

When I first started off the run I thought I was never going to do

:05:27.:05:31.

It was a pretty fun time jogging around having

:05:32.:05:36.

That's all from me and the Newsround team for today.

:05:37.:05:45.

I'll be back tomorrow morning just before 10.00am.

:05:46.:05:47.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

:05:48.:05:49.
