Usain Bolt, running away from everyone, running

:00:07.:00:08.

towards what you'd like to think is immortality

:00:09.:00:11.

There's just no stopping him - Usain Bolt wins his second gold

:00:12.:00:18.

While there was triple gold for Team GB on day 13 of the Games.

:00:19.:00:26.

Good morning, I'm Jenny and this is your Olympic Newsround.

:00:27.:00:37.

Team GB have won three more gold medals on day 13

:00:38.:00:41.

But all eyes on were the superstar of the Games

:00:42.:00:44.

After winning gold in the 100 metres,

:00:45.:00:51.

to strike again, this time in the 200 metres.

:00:52.:01:00.

It's something that you work so hard for throughout the years.

:01:01.:01:12.

When this moment comes, you are happy but also

:01:13.:01:14.

relieved to have done it because you really wanted it.

:01:15.:01:16.

So many things could have gone wrong but I came here and executed.

:01:17.:01:19.

But it was heartbreak for Team GB's Adam Gemili,

:01:20.:01:24.

who was just three thousandths of a second off the bronze medal.

:01:25.:01:30.

To get so close, it's heartbreaking. Got it. Absolutely gutted.

:01:31.:01:35.

Now to winning with your feet in a different way.

:01:36.:01:37.

Reigning taekwondo champ Jade Jones defended her title

:01:38.:01:39.

I still can't believe it, you know, from London, that I'm Olympic

:01:40.:01:44.

I just feel like I was under so much pressure and to do it again is

:01:45.:01:50.

Earlier on, another champ from London 2012

:01:51.:01:56.

was out to win again - triathlete Alistair Brownlee,

:01:57.:01:59.

who was competing alongside his brother Jonny.

:02:00.:02:02.

The pair swam, cycled and ran their way to gold and silver.

:02:03.:02:09.

It will be a glorious gold for Alastair Brownlee.

:02:10.:02:15.

The Olympic triathlon champion for the second time.

:02:16.:02:18.

I've finished so many sessions just trying to keep up with Johnny,

:02:19.:02:23.

basically I've raced three or four times a week and I've hardly been

:02:24.:02:26.

able to sleep at night because my legs hurt so much.

:02:27.:02:29.

The day's other British gold came from sailors Hannah Mills

:02:30.:02:32.

and Saskia Clark in the women's 470 event.

:02:33.:02:37.

Also on the water, Jon Schofield and Liam Heath

:02:38.:02:39.

powered to a silver in the men's kayak double.

:02:40.:02:46.

There was a bronze in another doubles event -

:02:47.:02:48.

the men's badminton, from Chris Langridge

:02:49.:02:53.

So, all that means we stay in second place on the medal table.

:02:54.:03:10.

Team GB has dominated the track cycling at the Games -

:03:11.:03:12.

and today, the finals of the BMX cycling takes place.

:03:13.:03:15.

But there's been bad news for Team GB medal hopeful

:03:16.:03:17.

Liam Phillips, who is out after having a crash

:03:18.:03:19.

Thankfully, he was OK to walk away afterwards,

:03:20.:03:22.

BMX is a relatively new Olympic sport - first appearing

:03:23.:03:25.

I love the BMXing best because it's flicks and racing.

:03:26.:03:33.

You have to jump and go really fast but it hurts when you fall.

:03:34.:03:37.

The coolest thing is when you go down ramps.

:03:38.:03:39.

I love how you can jump over the bumps.

:03:40.:03:42.

I just think it's cool because you can go over

:03:43.:03:45.

Now to a mission to save one of our most endangered mammals.

:03:46.:03:54.

They're small, brown and furry and this month,

:03:55.:03:55.

100 water voles that have been raised in captivity are being

:03:56.:03:58.

released into the wild in Yorkshire in the north of England.

:03:59.:04:01.

The number of voles roaming the UK has dropped massively in recent

:04:02.:04:04.

years and this will be the biggest release of the little

:04:05.:04:07.

We're reckoning it will take quite a few years, but for us,

:04:08.:04:14.

it will be a success whenever we see water voles.

:04:15.:04:16.

Not just in these areas, in the streams, but the whole

:04:17.:04:19.

way around the town and that they are starting to spread

:04:20.:04:21.

out and sustain the population of their own where we're no longer

:04:22.:04:24.

It's a big day for water voles - so we thought we'd put together

:04:25.:04:34.

Meet one of Britain's most endangered mammals, the water vole.

:04:35.:04:42.

They might be shy and secretive but they are the largest type

:04:43.:04:45.

of vole in Britain and can often be mistaken for a rat.

:04:46.:04:48.

Despite their name, they don't always live near water.

:04:49.:04:51.

Instead, they make burrows underground like moles and they're

:04:52.:04:54.

Their homes can have many levels that help prevent flooding

:04:55.:04:59.

as well as including rooms for nesting, a food store

:05:00.:05:03.

and sometimes even a little platform of twigs and straw

:05:04.:05:07.

where they can sunbathe aboveground.

:05:08.:05:10.

But that doesn't mean that they're not

:05:11.:05:14.

Did you know water voles are very strong swimmers?

:05:15.:05:21.

They can reach up to 500 metres on the surface and 15 underwater.

:05:22.:05:24.

Back in the 1960s, there were lots of them in Yorkshire

:05:25.:05:30.

and the north of England but they were wiped out by mink

:05:31.:05:33.

brought over from America in the 1920s and now

:05:34.:05:36.

Conservationists hope by reintroducing them

:05:37.:05:44.

into the wild there, they'll be back in the

:05:45.:05:46.

That's all from the team this morning, we're back on CBBC at 4:20.
