This is Newsround on Friday the 20th of May.

First this morning, 24 hours have passed since a plane on its way

from France to Egypt went missing, there's still no sign of it and now

the RAF and the Royal Navy have joined the search.

A search is underway to find out why a plane went missing yesterday.

The EgyptAir flight was carrying 66 people on a journey

from Paris in France to Cairo in Egypt, when the radars that keep

track of aircrafts as they travel lost touch with it.

Boats have been sent to look for any signs of wreckage

in the Mediterranean Sea, where the plane went missing.

No-one yet knows exactly what happened but search teams

Security experts say it might have been caused by terrorism,

but no-one is sure and nothing has been ruled out.

Millions of flights take place every year and events like this

The answer to what happened could be found in the black box -

a special device which records what happens inside a plane.

Investigations can be very complicated but more information

is expected to be announced over the next few days.

Next, we're meeting the dog who crossed the Amazon rainforest

Back in 2014, a team of Swedish adventurers were racing

in the Amazon when they took pity on a stray and gave him

The dog was so grateful, he followed them, swimming through

He stuck with them right to the finish line.

The team named him Arthur, and took him home to Sweden.

Joining me in the studio are Arthur the dog and his owner Mikael.

Thank you for coming on. Thanks.

Take us back to the first moment when you saw are there. What was it

like? I remember it like yesterday. We

came into this village. I was putting my bike together and at the

same time I was eating some meatballs. I saw this fellow and he

was sneaky, sneaking in, and he looked really, really sad. He had

this wound, and he was bleeding, and I could even smell him.

He has been looking around the studio today and was interested in

the Newsround studio. I gave him some meatballs and ten

seconds of my attention, and then continued to do my stuff.

He was in a bad way. He was a stray, and you did not know who he belonged

to. When did you think, I am going to keep this dog.

From the first, he was following us. Come on, are there! Join us.

Come on. This is your show, and your moment.

He was joining us and we took on to the vet and tried to help them, and

then were going to take him back to where he came from, but after the

journey together, he fought so hard just to stay alive. We felt like

this fellow, he does not want to go back, especially in the shape he

was. If you put so much energy and to risk his life for this, if he did

this for us, we thought we will do this for him. We started this, kind

of, walked to take him back. How did you get him back to Sweden?

It was so hard. I got yes, I got no... I got the last paperwork 20

minutes before airport check-in. He is cute.

Now you have got this book. The book is from my growing up in

what has led to this. It a lot about Arthur, after what has happened to

him. There are a lot of actors were you can see what it looked like. --
