Hi, I'm Martin and this is Newsround.

0:00:110:00:14

First, America is waking up today to a new president - Donald Trump.

0:00:140:00:18

The billionaire businessman and former reality TV star has

0:00:180:00:22

taken charge of the US, after a huge inauguration

0:00:220:00:25

ceremony yesterday.

0:00:250:00:35

Leah was there in the Capitol, Washington.

0:00:380:00:40

This is the moment Donald Trump officially became the 45th president

0:00:400:00:43

of the United States.

0:00:430:00:44

I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear that

0:00:440:00:45

I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States.

0:00:450:00:48

In his speech afterwards he told the crowds that he

0:00:480:00:51

would put America first.

0:00:510:00:53

I will fight for you with every breath in my body and I will never,

0:00:530:00:57

ever let you down.

0:00:570:01:05

The ceremony was also timed to say goodbye to outgoing

0:01:050:01:09

President Barack Obama who flew out in a helicopter.

0:01:090:01:14

Thousands of people came to watch Trump's inauguration.

0:01:140:01:19

Since he's going to be running our country,

0:01:190:01:22

I want to help support him and just come see him.

0:01:220:01:24

It was pretty exciting because this is the moment

0:01:240:01:27

that only certain people see.

0:01:270:01:31

He can't really do anything too terrible so I'm interested

0:01:310:01:33

to see what he does.

0:01:330:01:36

It's an historical moment so I'm happy to be here.

0:01:360:01:38

We have a new president now.

0:01:380:01:40

Not everyone here is celebrating Donald Trump.

0:01:400:01:44

These people are protesting outside his new hotel in Washington, DC.

0:01:440:01:48

They are unhappy and they don't think he's the right

0:01:480:01:51

man to run the country.

0:01:510:01:53

There are more protests that are expected here, too.

0:01:530:01:57

I really have no idea how he will run this country.

0:01:570:02:00

So far it doesn't seem like he's been doing the best kind of job.

0:02:000:02:03

I hope that he doesn't, like, pick fights with other

0:02:030:02:08

countries and start a war.

0:02:080:02:12

Try not to mess America up that much in four years.

0:02:120:02:17

Then it was time for the big parade.

0:02:170:02:22

And now, for the first time, the new president of America,

0:02:220:02:26

Mr Donald Trump, is here along the parade route, greeting people

0:02:260:02:29

for the very first time.

0:02:290:02:35

He's our new President, I can't do anything about it so...

0:02:350:02:39

I feel like he's a great businessman and I feel he will do a great

0:02:390:02:43

job as our president.

0:02:430:02:44

I feel the same way.

0:02:440:02:46

I think he's going to do a lot of things.

0:02:460:02:48

I think he'll do great.

0:02:480:02:50

So, as Donald Trump wakes up to his first morning in the White House,

0:02:500:02:54

the country will be waiting to see if he can live up to his promises.

0:02:540:02:58

And on his first day as president, Donald Trump will be waking up

0:02:580:03:02

to thousands of women marching as part of a big campaign to raise

0:03:020:03:06

awareness for gender equality and women's rights.

0:03:060:03:10

This is because protestors think their rights could be under

0:03:100:03:19

threat from the new president, Donald Trump, after rude comments

0:03:230:03:25

he has made about women in the past.

0:03:250:03:27

Marches are taking place in 32 different countries

0:03:270:03:29

with the biggest in Washington DC, the capital of America.

0:03:290:03:31

If you want any more info on the inauguration or Donald Trump

0:03:310:03:34

himself then head online for Leah's reports from the US.

0:03:340:03:37

Next to some kids who are winning big in the sport of jiujitsu.

0:03:370:03:40

For this family, it all started when their mum took them

0:03:400:03:42

to a Saturday class and they fell in love with the sport.

0:03:420:03:46

My name is Nia.

0:03:460:03:48

I'm Zuri.

0:03:480:03:49

I'm Amar.

0:03:490:03:56

These guys are the Junior World Champions in their age group.

0:03:560:03:59

Jujitsu is important to me because I get to see new people

0:03:590:04:02

and make new friends.

0:04:020:04:06

It helps me express myself, really, like fighting and it's a good way

0:04:060:04:09

to relax after a long day at school.

0:04:090:04:11

I like travelling around the world and winning competitions.

0:04:110:04:14

Jujitsu is a martial art which combines the grappling

0:04:140:04:23

of judo with the kicking and punching of karate and boxing.

0:04:230:04:25

Opponents punch and kick each other to score points.

0:04:250:04:27

And the person with the most points, wins.

0:04:270:04:30

There are lots of different types of jujitsu, including Brazilian

0:04:300:04:32

style, which these guys do.

0:04:320:04:34

Which doesn't involve kicking.

0:04:340:04:38

I think I'm good at jujitsu because I put my heart and soul into it.

0:04:380:04:42

I train as much as I possibly can.

0:04:420:04:45

I am really good at jujitsu because I have been

0:04:450:04:52

practising for four years.

0:04:520:04:53

I like beating the boys in it because it gets them really annoyed.

0:04:530:04:56

It helps me to just to look after myself when there is a bully

0:04:560:05:00

who is trying to hurt me.

0:05:000:05:01

Since I enjoyed it, I kept on doing it and then somehow I turned out

0:05:010:05:05

to be this champion, travelling around the world.

0:05:050:05:07

What's it like competing with your brothers and sisters?

0:05:070:05:11

Doing sport with Zuri and Amar is so much fun because we have

0:05:110:05:15

like something in common, like when we go to bed or we go home

0:05:150:05:21

we can just talk about jujitsu and our new moves and stuff.

0:05:210:05:24

What does the future hold for these guys?

0:05:240:05:32

I want to go like all the way, I want to be like an adult champion,

0:05:320:05:36

like have my own jujitsu school when I'm older

0:05:360:05:38

and have all the little kids.

0:05:380:05:39

When I'm older I want to run my own jujitsu school and be a doctor

0:05:390:05:43

or I might be really rich and be a paediatrician.

0:05:430:05:46

That's all from me, I'm back with your Sunday Newsround tomorrow.

0:05:460:05:48

Catch us just after 10.

0:05:480:05:51

Bye.

0:05:510:05:58

How many Blue Peter presenters does it take to change a light bulb?

0:06:030:06:06

No, that doesn't really work.

0:06:060:06:07

Why did the Blue Peter presenter cross the road?
