Good morning, Ayshah here with your morning Newsround.

And the Rio Olypmics went out with a bang last night.

The closing ceremony was a huge Carnival-style party

as the offical Olympic baton was handed over to Toyko,

who will host the 2020 Games.

The ceremony marked the end of the most successful Olympics

for Team GB in more than 100 years.

Great Britain ended the games above China with 27 gold medals.

Ricky has been out there for the whole championship

and he's sent us this amazing Rio round-up.

For the last four years,

thousands of athletes have put their everything into the Olympics.

They have trained day and night to try and be the best

they could possibly be, and to fulfil their dreams.

All their hard work has finally paid offer for Team GB.

Here in Rio, they did not just bring on the great, they smashed it.

It all started right here, behind me, at the aquatic stadium.

That is where 19-year-old Adam Peaty got the first gold for Team GB.

And it started a little bit of a gold rush.

Jazz Carlin not only had the best name here at the Olympics,

she has now got two silver medals swinging around her neck.

Tom and Dan cemented their relationship by claiming bronze,

but bigger things were to come.

A historic gold for Chris Mears and Jack Laugher for the diving,

which is just over there.

Here they go.

Yes!

Come on!

That is an Olympic medal for sure.

Team USA's Simone Biles became the star of Rio,

but our gymnasts did us proud too -

Max Whitlock bringing home two gold medals.

11 medals in the velodrome, six of them gold.

Laura Trott led the way, winning her fourth gold.

She's now Britain's most successful female Olympian.

And Bradley's gold made him the proud owner

of the most Olympic medals for Team GB.

Murray mania here at Rio's centre court,

as Andy Murray went on to defend his title.

Andy Murray is a double Olympic gold medallist.

What would you say has been the best thing about the Olympics in Rio?

I think the atmosphere, and everyone is friendly and helping.

I think they've been really good, especially Team GB -

we have outdone ourselves as a nation.

We have done very well.

I like the cycling and the athletics.

Well done, Team GB, you are the best.

In athletics, the fastest man on earth, Usain Bolt,

did not disappoint.

Mo Farah got the double double, winning two more golds.

The smiliest boxer on earth, Nicola Adams, defended her title.

Yep, you got it, another gold!

Was winning all these medals the only highlight

for these athletes?

Obviously, the best thing about being here is talking

to Newsround, right?

Absolutely.

This is a show that I have been watching since I was a little boy,

so being on Newsround is huge for me.

Even though it feels like it is way off in the distance,

in four years, we get to do this all again

at the Tokyo Games, 2020.

One of the biggest stars of the GB team in Rio

has been the super-smiley boxer, Nicola Adams.

And Ricky managed to grab a chat with her.

I'm feeling absolutely over the moon.

I can't believe it,

I've been able to become a double Olympic champion.

Love it!

And that smile has not left your face yet.

What's the mood like amongst the whole of the Team GB athletes?

Because we've got a record-breaking medal haul - this is fantastic.

Yeah, everybody's really happy around the village.

The team can't believe what we're achieving.

We started off with a little sheet with the medal tally on,

and now we've got three or four going across the wall.

That reception when you get back to the UK,

what do you think it's going to be like?

I think it's going to be amazing,

especially from my hometown in Leeds.

I know they can't wait to see me.

I've had so much support from Leeds and Yorkshire,

so I'd just like to say thank you to everybody.

And he's been one of the true legends of these Games,

Mr Treble Treble, Usain Bolt.

So what could turn his hand to next?

How about the javelin?

This footage was filmed at the end of the athletics

in Rio's Olympic stadium on Saturday night.

The world's fastest man picked up a javelin once all the spectators

had gone home and asked volunteers to applaud him.

He managed to throw it 56 metres - a distance

that would have put him last in the women's javelin final.
