Ayshah here on the day Team GB return from Rio.

:00:11.:00:14.

And isn't that the coolest selfie you've ever seen?

:00:15.:00:16.

The athletes are flying home on this specially prepared

:00:17.:00:18.

British Airways flight, BA 2016, on a plane

:00:19.:00:22.

complete with golden nose, so everyone knows who's landed.

:00:23.:00:27.

The aircraft will return with 320 athletes and support staff

:00:28.:00:29.

with all their luggage and equipment, and the man

:00:30.:00:32.

responsible for the safe return of the team is this guy.

:00:33.:00:37.

My name's Captain Steve Hawkins, and the chief training

:00:38.:00:41.

pilot in British Airways, and I fly the 747.

:00:42.:00:46.

And it's a great privilege today to be involved in bringing

:00:47.:00:49.

So people have asked the question of me,

:00:50.:00:52.

"What's the significance of the

:00:53.:00:53.

Really, it's to make the aircraft look

:00:54.:00:56.

really smart, it's to make it easily identifiable.

:00:57.:00:58.

So this is where we sit, this is the captain's seat.

:00:59.:01:01.

I'm going to be sitting in this seat to

:01:02.:01:03.

It's got to be the pinnacle of my flying

:01:04.:01:07.

Some of Britain's Olympic heroes are already back home.

:01:08.:01:10.

Two of them are Team GB's golden couple Laura Trott and Jason Kenny.

:01:11.:01:14.

Laura is the first British woman to win four gold medals and Jason

:01:15.:01:18.

became Team GB's joint top gold medal winner ever with six

:01:19.:01:21.

gold medals from three different Olympics.

:01:22.:01:24.

Well, Newsround will be catching up with Laura and Jason later this

:01:25.:01:27.

morning and we want your questions to ask them.

:01:28.:01:29.

Go online right now and send them in, and we'll ask as many as we can.

:01:30.:01:38.

We have already had some in, and they are brilliant.

:01:39.:01:41.

You'll be able to hear from them at Newsround online later today

:01:42.:01:44.

and on telly on CBBC at 4:20pm this afternoon.

:01:45.:01:46.

With the sunshine expected to come back across the country this week,

:01:47.:01:49.

the Canal and River Trust is asking people not to cool off by jumping

:01:50.:01:53.

They say things can get pretty dangerous really quickly.

:01:54.:01:56.

The hidden dangers lurking under the surface.

:01:57.:02:03.

But it's not just the rubbish down there that's the only problem.

:02:04.:02:11.

The water is really cold, so when you jump in you might get

:02:12.:02:14.

something called shock, which means you might die...

:02:15.:02:16.

Sam works for the Canal and River Trust, which manages

:02:17.:02:18.

2000 miles of canals, rivers, reservoirs and docks

:02:19.:02:20.

They want children to be aware of the unseen dangers in the water.

:02:21.:02:28.

I know it looks really warm, and it's really warm today,

:02:29.:02:31.

but it is really cold and you might catch your breath,

:02:32.:02:35.

and that might cause you to drink in some of that water.

:02:36.:02:37.

You might get a tummy bug from drinking some of it or having

:02:38.:02:43.

it around your body, and you wouldn't want that,

:02:44.:02:45.

especially not in the summer holidays when it's so nice outside.

:02:46.:02:48.

Despite knowing the dangers, on a hot day like this

:02:49.:02:51.

there still are some people who take the risk

:02:52.:02:52.

There are, really, loads of ways that you can enjoy the canals.

:02:53.:03:00.

You can go for a walk along the towpath, you can go swimming

:03:01.:03:04.

in your local swimming pool or even in a lido,

:03:05.:03:07.

which is outdoors, and you can join an outdoor swimming club

:03:08.:03:10.

if you want to go swimming outdoors as well.

:03:11.:03:12.

Even though it's really hot, try and stay away

:03:13.:03:14.

Find another way to cool off and have fun in a safe way.

:03:15.:03:23.

Hundreds of people get into trouble in canals every year across the UK,

:03:24.:03:27.

but the hope is lots of you will now be put off from taking a dip

:03:28.:03:31.

and find other ways to enjoy the waterways safely this summer.

:03:32.:03:38.

To the US, where in Louisiana flooding has affected a lot

:03:39.:03:41.

of people who live there - but it's also had a huge impact

:03:42.:03:44.

The area is home to loads of reptiles, like alligators.

:03:45.:03:49.

Tourists often come to see the creatures, but they've been

:03:50.:03:51.

displaced, so some people are helping get them back

:03:52.:03:54.

We're monitoring it and making sure that we can paddle from my house,

:03:55.:04:04.

drive here and then catch the gators.

:04:05.:04:06.

We're going to catch them just like we've been doing and

:04:07.:04:09.

saving them and it's going to take a few days,

:04:10.:04:11.

A massive oil rig which has been stranded on a beach on the west

:04:12.:04:17.

coast of Scotland for two weeks has been successfully

:04:18.:04:19.

But how did it end up there in the first place?

:04:20.:04:24.

It's one of the more unusual things to be found washed up on a beach.

:04:25.:04:31.

But this huge oil rig, which is used to drill

:04:32.:04:33.

for oil in the seabed, was blown on to this beach

:04:34.:04:36.

It's called the Transocean Winner and was being moved from Norway

:04:37.:04:42.

to Malta when stormy weather hit and it became separated

:04:43.:04:45.

from the boat that was pulling it along.

:04:46.:04:47.

The oil rig weighs a huge 17,000 tonnes, which is equal to the weight

:04:48.:04:50.

of 28 Airbus A380s - the biggest planes in the world.

:04:51.:05:02.

It was carrying 280 tonnes of diesel oil when it ran aground

:05:03.:05:07.

but in the last couple of days, salvage teams have managed to move

:05:08.:05:09.

Some of the oil did escape when the rig was washed ashore,

:05:10.:05:17.

Environmental groups have been worried that more oil could leak

:05:18.:05:24.

and cause pollution to the wildlife there and affect the beach,

:05:25.:05:27.

which is popular with tourists and surfers.

:05:28.:05:32.

Once the rig is moved clear, it will be checked for damage before

:05:33.:05:36.

the company can decide whether it can be repaired

:05:37.:05:39.

That's it from me and the team this morning, we're back

:05:40.:05:46.

Don't forget to go online and send us in your questions

:05:47.:05:52.
