Good morning, I'm Jenny with all the news you need

to know this Wednesday.

First, an earthquake has struck central Italy in the early

hours of this morning.

These pictures show the damage, caused by the tremor, that hit close

to the city of Perugia.

A local mayor has said that half his town has gone.

At least six people have died and emergency services

are doing what they can to help people affected.

Over in the US, American President Barack Obama,

has been visiting people affected by flooding in the state

of Louisiana.

He met, and hugged, those hit by days of heavy rain,

that led to the country's worst natural disaster in years.

At least 13 people have died and around 3,000 are having

to live in shelters.

Mr Obama said he would help people rebuild their lives and homes.

What I want the people of Louisiana to know is that

you're not alone on this.

Even after the TV cameras leave, the whole country is going

to continue to support you and help you until we get folks back

in their homes and lives rebuilt.

In other news - Celtic fans are celebrating this morning

because their team have qualified for the Group Stages

of the Champions League, for the first time in three years -

but only just.

They went to Israeli side Hapoel Beer Sheva

with a 5-2 first leg lead, but a poor defending saw them

lose 2-nil last night.

The result was enough to take them through.

The draw for the groups takes place on Friday.

So Celtic fans are celebrating - and these two are as well.

Olympic golden couple Jason Kenny and Laura Trott are back home

from Rio, after winning five gold medals out there.

They stopped by Newsround HQ to answer your questions with Ayshah.

Massive congratulations on your medals, it's been

incredible watching you.

How are you feeling after getting those gold medals?

Honestly, it was incredible.

It was the most amazing feeling.

Especially having Jason there and him taking his sixth gold medal.

It was nice we could do it together.

Yeah, as Laura said, doing it together and being able

to enjoy each other's success is really special.

Could you start at any age?

Definitely.

11 is not too old.

Just go down to your local club, any British Cycling associated club,

get yourself down there.

So I got into it as a family sport.

I just like doing it.

My uncle took me to the velodrome and joined the kids club and got

into it from pure enjoyment.

We have a garage full of bikes, but I only actually own one.

For us, we don't own our bikes, we get given them and then

we have to give them back!

We are cyclists that don't have a bike!

That is so bizarre!

Great question.

Just carry on and keep enjoying it.

And like I said, just join a local club.

They are so helpful in getting you to the next step,

and a great way to get on the British Cycling programme.

Obviously with them one step leads to another.

It wasn't love at first sight.

I didn't like Jason to start with.

He never even spoke to me!

I can't help being grumpy.

But ultimately it all worked out all right in the end.

Now from an Olympic champion pairing to an unlikely one.

A cat in Russia has adopted a baby squirrel monkey, after it was

abandoned by its mother in a zoo.

The zoo director says the monkey will stay with the cat for another

month to get stronger, before being taken back to live

with his other relatives.
