First up, and the war in Syria is continuing with fighting, | 0:00:35 | 0:00:38
making life for people there very difficult. | 0:00:38 | 0:00:44
A year ago we told you about Nujeen, she's from Syria but was sent | 0:00:44 | 0:00:48
by her parents to safety in Germany. | 0:00:48 | 0:00:50
Her journey was made extra tricky because | 0:00:50 | 0:00:51
she uses a wheelchair. | 0:00:51 | 0:00:53
Now, a year on, Nujeen's talking about her new life | 0:00:53 | 0:00:55
and her hopes for peace in Syria. | 0:00:55 | 0:00:59
It's a journey for a new life. | 0:00:59 | 0:01:01
This was Nujeen back in 2015. | 0:01:01 | 0:01:04
16 years old and travelling from Syria, | 0:01:04 | 0:01:06
through Europe and towards Germany. | 0:01:06 | 0:01:09
She made the journey with her big sister | 0:01:09 | 0:01:11
but had to leave her mum and | 0:01:11 | 0:01:13
dad behind. | 0:01:13 | 0:01:17
It was a difficult journey and involved travelling by | 0:01:17 | 0:01:24
boat and waiting at borders of countries to find out whether or not | 0:01:24 | 0:01:27
she would be allowed to continue her journey to safety. | 0:01:27 | 0:01:30
Eventually she reached Germany, where her brother | 0:01:30 | 0:01:31
was already living and has built a new life. | 0:01:31 | 0:01:33
So how does Nujeen describe herself now? | 0:01:33 | 0:01:35
The new Nujeen is just like any other person. | 0:01:35 | 0:01:37
She wakes up early, she goes to school, | 0:01:37 | 0:01:40
she is a hard-working pupil, I hope! | 0:01:40 | 0:01:44
She speak German. | 0:01:44 | 0:01:50
And she is safe, she's not afraid any more. | 0:01:50 | 0:01:52
She is safe now but thinks about the fighting that is | 0:01:52 | 0:01:55
still going on in Syria, comparing the country | 0:01:55 | 0:01:57
to this sick person who | 0:01:57 | 0:01:58
she hopes will get better one day. | 0:01:58 | 0:02:01
I really miss you. | 0:02:01 | 0:02:06
But don't worry, you're just | 0:02:06 | 0:02:07
really, really, really sick. | 0:02:07 | 0:02:09
But I'm sure you're going to get better and when you do I'll | 0:02:09 | 0:02:12
be right by your side. | 0:02:12 | 0:02:16
And when the fighting in Syria does stop Nujeen hopes to return. | 0:02:16 | 0:02:22
And to find out more about what's happening in Syria head to Newsround | 0:02:22 | 0:02:25

Next to the new discovery about horses, because scientists | 0:02:28 | 0:02:32
say they can actually communicate with humans. | 0:02:32 | 0:02:34
Researchers in Norway trained a group of horses - | 0:02:34 | 0:02:38
using slices of carrot - to touch different symbols | 0:02:38 | 0:02:41
when they wanted a rug put on or taken off. | 0:02:41 | 0:02:46
They say it shows horses are more intelligent than we think, | 0:02:46 | 0:02:48
making choices and expressing their opinions. | 0:02:48 | 0:02:50
They're one of the most famous brothers in the world of sport - | 0:02:50 | 0:02:54
British triathlon stars, Jonny and Alistair Brownlee. | 0:02:54 | 0:02:57
They won silver and gold at the Rio Olympics last month | 0:02:57 | 0:03:00
and hit the headlines this week when Alistair helped his exhausted | 0:03:00 | 0:03:03
brother Jonny over the line during a race in Mexico. | 0:03:03 | 0:03:08
Well, the Brownlees have been telling | 0:03:08 | 0:03:10
Naz their childhood memories | 0:03:10 | 0:03:14
Tell us about the time you helped each other as kids. | 0:03:14 | 0:03:17
I think I was always helping him as a kid, being the older | 0:03:17 | 0:03:20
brother, or trying to, at least. | 0:03:20 | 0:03:22
I remember one time we were playing in a stream and we were | 0:03:22 | 0:03:25
building a dam or something and he cut his finger | 0:03:25 | 0:03:28
open and blood just went | 0:03:28 | 0:03:30
everywhere in the stream and I held it and took him back | 0:03:30 | 0:03:33
to mum and dad to take him to | 0:03:33 | 0:03:35
hospital. | 0:03:35 | 0:03:36
There it is. | 0:03:36 | 0:03:37
He's always been looking after me. | 0:03:37 | 0:03:38
What about you? | 0:03:38 | 0:03:39
When have you helped him out as a bother? | 0:03:39 | 0:03:41
I'm younger one so he's supposed to help me out. | 0:03:41 | 0:03:44
Oh, that one time we cycled to school and | 0:03:44 | 0:03:46
I had an exam and I swapped bikes with you. | 0:03:46 | 0:03:48
Oh, yeah. | 0:03:48 | 0:03:49
We used to cycle to school in the morning and | 0:03:49 | 0:03:51
one-time Alistair got a puncture and just said | 0:03:51 | 0:03:54
was, "here's a bike. | 0:03:54 | 0:03:54
"I've got an exam, fix it." | 0:03:54 | 0:03:56
It was a GCSE or something. | 0:03:56 | 0:03:57
You left me. | 0:03:57 | 0:03:58
I was about an hour late to school. | 0:03:58 | 0:04:00
So that was it, that's how | 0:04:00 | 0:04:02
I helped him out. | 0:04:02 | 0:04:03
Well the success of the Brownlee brothers has inspired lots of people | 0:04:03 | 0:04:06
to give the triathlon a go - including this lot. | 0:04:06 | 0:04:08
Over a thousand kids have been taking part in an event | 0:04:08 | 0:04:11
at Hever Castle in Kent where they had to | 0:04:11 | 0:04:13
swim, cycle and run. | 0:04:13 | 0:04:14
So how did they get on? | 0:04:14 | 0:04:16
It was tough but when you find it tough I just think in my head just | 0:04:16 | 0:04:20
keep on carrying on. | 0:04:20 | 0:04:21
It was one of the of those lifelong dreams that I | 0:04:21 | 0:04:25
almost wanted to and the Brownlees inspired me. | 0:04:25 | 0:04:29
I'm happy and overwhelmed. | 0:04:29 | 0:04:31
The one I think I'm going to find best is swimming. | 0:04:31 | 0:04:34
It makes me think I can get more active | 0:04:34 | 0:04:36
and get out more. | 0:04:36 | 0:04:40
Seven million people watched Strictly Come Dancing last night | 0:04:40 | 0:04:43

The young black bear was caught on camera running through the town. | 0:05:11 | 0:05:15
Wildlife officials eventually managed to rescue it | 0:05:15 | 0:05:18
and take it to safety. | 0:05:18 | 0:05:21
And because it's Saturday here's some more amazing animals. | 0:05:21 | 0:05:25

in the South American country. | 0:05:35 | 0:05:37
