Hi, I'm Hayley with your Newsround update this Tuesday morning. | :00:00. | :00:00.
First, we're heading to the United States where everyone | :00:07. | :00:28.
is talking about who might be the next leader of the country. | :00:29. | :00:33.
Americans will vote for their new President in November, | :00:34. | :00:35.
but there's one person who is making all the headlines at the moment - | :00:36. | :00:39.
Here is an old trunk? One of America's most famous businessmen | :00:40. | :00:56.
and he's trying to become the next US President. You are fired. Go... | :00:57. | :01:03.
Up until now, he was mostly known as being a reality TV star. If you want | :01:04. | :01:10.
to family... Go right ahead. You are fired. But now he has a serious | :01:11. | :01:15.
chance of being the President and that is attracting huge attention | :01:16. | :01:18.
from around the world, because of the things he says, which are | :01:19. | :01:23.
controversial. He has been tough on immigration and wants to build a | :01:24. | :01:27.
wall between America and Mexico to stop illegal immigrants from getting | :01:28. | :01:31.
in. I would build a great war and nobody bowls worth that than me. He | :01:32. | :01:37.
has also called for a ban on Muslims coming into the US. His message to | :01:38. | :01:40.
make America great has gone down well with lots of voters who think | :01:41. | :01:45.
he is a strong leader. But the people are worried, saying he is | :01:46. | :01:50.
racist and dangerous. Now there has been violence at some of his big | :01:51. | :01:55.
events with clashes breaking out between protesters and supporters. | :01:56. | :02:00.
Donald Trump's opponents say he says things to encourage violence, he | :02:01. | :02:04.
says he has not. A lot of people are worried that this year's collection | :02:05. | :02:07.
will divide the country. You can find more on the US | :02:08. | :02:09.
presidential contest online, including a full guide to how | :02:10. | :02:12.
the American elections work and get to know more about everyone | :02:13. | :02:15.
still in the race to become Experts are keeping a very close eye | :02:16. | :02:17.
on puffins this year. They are now considered | :02:18. | :02:27.
a threatened species, which means that numbers | :02:28. | :02:29.
are getting dangerously low. A big count is under way to try work | :02:30. | :02:34.
out how many are left. It's hoped that by keeping | :02:35. | :02:37.
an eye on the birds, experts can work out | :02:38. | :02:40.
how to help them. Out of all these birds, it's | :02:41. | :02:53.
probably the most threatened of the species here at these cliffs and for | :02:54. | :02:57.
us to understand how many there are as critical. We know we have over | :02:58. | :03:01.
1000 pairs of breeding puffins and that's fantastic. But we have got to | :03:02. | :03:06.
try and safeguard them for the future. | :03:07. | :03:06.
Next, you might not be a fan of creepy crawlies but insects | :03:07. | :03:09.
are essential to the planet's survival. | :03:10. | :03:11.
Numbers are decreasing but now there is a new project that's hoping | :03:12. | :03:14.
Insects like these aren't just nice to look at. They also do a very | :03:15. | :03:31.
special job of pollination. Busy insects are attracted to flowers | :03:32. | :03:35.
which contain delicious nectar like to eat. Pollen rubs off on to them | :03:36. | :03:42.
and they carry it from plant to plant. Copying them to reproduce and | :03:43. | :03:47.
recreate seed. But the numbers of these pollinating insects have been | :03:48. | :03:51.
decreasing. The big threat to the pollinating insects is the loss of | :03:52. | :03:56.
habitat, the loss of homes for nature. That has been because of | :03:57. | :04:02.
changes in farming which has more chemicals and less space for | :04:03. | :04:05.
wildlife to flourish because they need to create more crops on the | :04:06. | :04:11.
same amount of ground. Without insects like Bees and butterflies a | :04:12. | :04:14.
lot of the plants would no longer exist and this could have a big | :04:15. | :04:19.
impact on the environment, animals and even is. Now a special scheme | :04:20. | :04:23.
has been set up to teach us how to look after these important | :04:24. | :04:28.
creatures. The pollination project wants you to learn more about | :04:29. | :04:32.
pollinating insects, planting more seats to create more flowers for | :04:33. | :04:36.
them and also keep a log of all the insects you see in your school and | :04:37. | :04:42.
local areas. If there weren't pollinators like Bees, butterflies | :04:43. | :04:44.
and beetles then there wouldn't be any flowers because they take Colin | :04:45. | :04:49.
to the next flour to make more flowers. When I found out how | :04:50. | :04:55.
important pollen was it was a big shock to me because it makes the | :04:56. | :04:59.
world as pretty as it is now and it produces food for us. If we don't | :05:00. | :05:03.
think about it, we will struggle to improve our environment. So far, 260 | :05:04. | :05:10.
schools across the UK have signed up and it's hoped that with their help, | :05:11. | :05:11.
insect numbers will increase. Tennis now and Andy Murray | :05:12. | :05:14.
crashed out of the third round of the Miami Open last night | :05:15. | :05:17.
at the hands of Grigor Dimitrov. World number two Murray has won | :05:18. | :05:20.
in Miami twice previously but lost out to his Bulgarian opponent | :05:21. | :05:25.
who is seeded 26th in the world. Dimitrov won on his first match | :05:26. | :05:31.
point, in two hours 25 minutes. Finally, two police officers | :05:32. | :05:37.
in London have helped with a very Baby Alex arrived on Easter Monday | :05:38. | :05:40.
after his Mum went in to labour The police, who were out on patrol, | :05:41. | :05:46.
were asked to help and the healthy baby-boy ended up | :05:47. | :05:52.
being born in a van. That's all from me, Newsround's back | :05:53. | :05:55.
at 4.20pm this afternoon. | :05:56. | :05:59. |
