Good morning and welcome to your first Newsround update

this Sunday, with me, Martin.

First, our top story is that a powerful 6.6-magnitude earthquake

has struck central Italy.

It hit near the town of Norcia, about 150 kilometres

from the capital, Rome.

Many buildings have been destroyed.

It is not yet clear how many injuries there are,

although many people had already been evacuated

after tremors earlier this week.

Today's quake comes two months after nearly 300 people died

after a strong quake in the region.

OK, time for a quick look at what has happened in the football

this weekend and it is extremely close at the top of

the English Premier League.

In the early game, Arsenal briefly went top, with a 4-1 win over

bottom side Sunderland.

But it was short lived for Arsenal.

Sergeo Augero put in an amazing performance, scoring two goals,

including this wee beauty, to help his side beat

West Brom 4-0, putting them back at the top.

But Liverpool are hot on their heels.

After an early mistake against Crystal Palace,

goals from Emre Can, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Roberto Firmino

secured a 4-2t victory for the the Reds.

And in the Scottish Premiership, Celtic moved nine points clear

at the top of the table, after beating Aberdeen 1-0.

Tom Rogic's controlled half-volley put the

reigning champions ahead midway through the first half.

Things are also tight at the top in the competition

for the Strictly crown.

It was Halloween Week last night.

After the boys dominating the leaderboard for the past

couple of weeks, the girls are now in front.

TV presenter Laura Whitmore returned from an ankle injury for this

terrifyingly-good tango.

It scored her 36 and put her top of the leaderboard.

Tied with Laura at the top was Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane,

who danced this American smooth dressed as a witch,

to Black Magic by Little Mix.

And the crowd were on their feet after politician Ed Balls'

cha-cha-cha, dressed as a mad scientist.

It had everyone in stitches and judge Bruno enjoyed it so much

he even gave Ed an eight!

It means he scores his highest score so far, with 26,

just above singer Anastacia, at the bottom.
