The fabulous Mr James Bay playing a track from his album the Chaos and

Calm. He is about to finish getting to the end of the touring schedule.

He is back to the States and then back, take a break and work on new

material. He had an amazing response from the crowd at T In The Park.

Right, time for the main event, then. Your final headliners at T In

The Park P the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They have been here before.

They have a great relationship with the Scottish crowd. What was great

was to catch up with Mr Chad Smith before they took the stage. Welcome

back to T In The Park. You have already warmed up? Yes, with my

buddy Jake and played a song. It was fun. I love watching. We stood

watching you guys, we saw Josh and Zane and you guys hanging out, being

part of the team and getting the vibe. Yes, it is great. We love T we

have played here lots of times. I don't know how many times. Good

memories? A bunch. It is usually raining. So I'm happy to see that

the tradition continues. How did the Jake thing come about? Is it a case

you bump into him and you go - how's about you come up? I played on his

record Sian grey la. The one - Shangrila. So it was nice. And we

said we were on the same bill, yes, sure, man, come down, play the

drums, don't break them. He knows you too well. I get excited. It is

the only way I know how to do it. He is a really good guy. I like him and

his band. Great people. Obviously a great musician. He gets a great

response from the crowd. A huge crowd there for him. Yes. Great to

see. They are hanging in there. They are hanging tough. This is the third

day, right? Hard-core. I drove by all those tents, in the mud and I'm

just going - that's a young man's game right there, boy, wow. God

bless them. You are not a camping man. You have been around Europe

playing new records from a wonderful new album the Getaway. I saw you

guys in Belgium last weekend. In fact I was quite perturbed when I

got up for breakfast and you were sat at the table next to me chatting

to another band. Yes, I love them. I was there the night before we had

gotten in and I didn't know they were playing the night before, or I

would have gone and saw them They are amazing. Their show is, I think,

ununequaled. They are uncred I will. People probably don't think or --

they are incredible. People probably don't think or know that they are

really funny guys. We just laughed the whole time. But they are not on

stage but they are a bunch of comics. There was eaves dropping

going on by me at breakfast but I could tell they were funny. I love

those guys. We had a good time. A nice morning. And the energy from

you guys come on stage as well. I got out front to watch you last

weekend. It was so exciting because, you know, it is the Chili Peppers.

You have so many tunes to choose from but the new album, it feels

like, you guys, the energy has been rapped up even more so. You know --

ramped up. We are so excited by our new record. We love playing all of

our songs but it is fun to play the new ones, we are starting to do

them. When a new one comes out on a set list, it is great, we need to

play Dark Necessity. We are trying not to play too many new ones. It is

a festival and a lot of people don't really know our new record but it is

fun to just, it really gets you kind of pumped up. But we love to play

and every time we go out there, we play our little hearts out. You can

tell. Do you get any say in the set list? Anthony does the set list. It

is kind of based on how he is feeling, his voice. But, he passes

around to. We make our suggestions, what about this one or maybe that

one? But for the most part, he is in charge of the set list. What are you

most enjoying playing from the new record? Do you have a favourite

track you are loving playing from the new record? Man, you know, there

is a song we have called Detroit that's kind of a rocker that I

really love. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, so it has a special place

in my heart. I love that one. I love all the new ones, we are trying to

switch songs. We played Dark Necessities and playing the Getaway

nightly, but we are trying to switch up the other two to get new songs

into the set but I'm digging Detroit right now. Hopefully we'll play it

tonight. If it is not on the list I will be like - Anthony, what about

Detroit? Please, pretty please. Thank you for coming to talk to us

What a band. The energy they exude and that huge crowd, sticking around

in the rain, as you can see in the final night, the Sunday night here.

There we are, that is how wet it is. Here we are at T In The Park at

Strathallan Castle. The crowd loving that. Can we take a moment to

appreciate how amazing Chad's drum kit it. I mean, I lost count. The

green trans pansy was a thing of beauty. I loved that. Also, we

should mention that celebrations will be going on well into the

night. 20 miles away from here, about 20 minutes away from here, bun

Blaine, the home town of Andy Murray today. If people are driving and

leaving site I'm sure the party will be continuing close to the site here
