A man has been arrested in connection with the fatal

stabbing of a shopkeeper on the south side of Glasgow.

Tonight local people held a vigil to remember forty-year

old Asad Shah, who was found seriously injured outside his news

agency and convenience shop in Shawlands last night.

On Thursday, Mr Shah had posted a message on a social media page,

Police say the death is being treated as "religiously prejudiced".

They have also confirmed that both Mr Shah and the man arrested

in connection with his death are Muslims.

Police have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with his death.

An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances

of his death and that they are treating it

The imam of Scotland's largest mosque has expressed support

for an extremist, executed in Pakistan for murdering the former

The murder was carried out because of the governor's opposition

Reformers at the mosque have condemned the messages
