The mother of an airman who went missing two weeks ago

Corrie Mckeague, based at RAF Honington in Suffolk,

disappeared after a night out in Bury St Edmunds.

Corrie Mckeague disappeared after a night out with friends. He was last

seen in Bury St Edmunds walking alone. His family travelled there

from Fife as they await anxiously for news. It is truly horrific

Sundays. Because I am a police officer I understand, and then other

days it is up to help to understand that I can understand and accept how

much is being done... His brother said it would not be unusual for

Corrie to walk the nine miles back to base alone. That is just natural

behaviour. He has had his foot, he is happy, he is just going on a

donder. The only unexplainable thing is that he has just disappeared. It

has been 14 days but still no close. His mother says she truly believes

her son is still alive. If someone has hurt him, if something has

happened accidentally, really are the just going to keep putting us

through this turmoil? Let us no. We still firmly believe that if anyone

in the world can come back with a fantastic story about what has

happened to him, it is Corrie, but somebody knows. A new poster

campaign and a new appeal. Police are hopeful someone can come forward

with clues as to how this young airman simply disappeared.

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital

after being rescued from a fire near Tomintoul.
