Good evening. Top officials from thirteen Arab countries are in

Jersey for a visit which is being hailed a huge coup for the hsland.

The delegates from the Arab Ambassadors Council are herd to

develop trade links that jersey has been given ` double

A+ credit rating. With the success of the last few days, even lore

international interest could find the island.

An inquest into the deaths of a Guernsey couple in Thailand last

year has recorded a verdict of accidental death. Peter Root and

Mary Thomson were killed during a round`the`world cycling trip. The

couple were travelling on the hard shoulder of a main road east of

Bangkok in February last ye`r when a pick`up truck veered from its lane.

The driver was charged with causing death by negligence.

Three men accused of dangerous driving after the death of `

22`year`old driver appeared in Jersey's Magistrate's Court today.

Vitor Fernandes died in Decdmber in a crash on Victoria Avenue.

21`year`old Jose Joaojwaow Santos Silva, Jeronimo Vieira Santos, who's

29, and Luis Carlos Alves C`rdoso, who's 19, are due back in court next

month. A woman from Guernsey is stdpping up

to the international stage this weekend when she captains an England

squad at a World Championshhps in South Africa. Naomi Taylor has been

selected to lead the English ladies Indoor Netball side for the first

time. Emma Chambers reports. This is no ordinary game of netball.

It is indoor netball. Players are surrounded by nets so the b`ll never

goes out. Making it fast, energetic, and growing in popularity,

especially in Guernsey. And now for the first time ever, a Guernsey girl

has been selected to captain the England ladies team who are

competing in South Africa this week. Absolutely honoured to be n`med as

captain. We have great playdrs. To be named as captain is phenomenal. I

hope we can do the job out here now. It is brilliant to have her named as

captain. We also have a plaxer in the under 21. We are fortun`te to

have a great sanctuary to bring these girls on here. Naomi `nd her

team are training hard to t`ke on New Zealand, Australia and South

Africa in the 2014 World Championships. Back in Guernsey

those who played with her in the 2012 tournament says this is a

fantastic achievement. As spuad selection is getting tougher. The

England selectors must a lot more women to come down. The chance was

decreased significantly compared to when we were selecting in 2012. So

to be picked and then be picked as the captain is a massive

achievement. She will take ht on her shoulders very well. And thdy have a

little message for Naomi. Two seal pups that were washed up

starving on Guernsey's shords during the winter storms have been released

back into the wild. Trinity and Eden have been through

months of rehabilitation before today as Mike Wilkins reports.

An uncertain end to the week for this little seal. This afternoon

Trinity and Eden were careftlly loaded onto a boat to carry them on

their journey to freedom. Dtring the crossing from Guernsey they both

appeared remarkably calm. As we approached Jethou another sdal was

spotted, Dave, the resident seal, checking out what all the ftss was

about. Once ashore and gently in place, the cages were opened. A

little unsure at first, the two soon made their dash for freedom. For

their carers, it was thrillhng to see the seals back where thdy

belong. It is never easy whdn you release any wild animal back to see

or whatever they belong. Thdre were a few nervous point when thdy were a

bit unsure. But once they wdre in the water, they are having ` great

time. They were just two wedks old when they were taken in the top six

months on, they are out there fending for themselves. Trinity and

Eden will be in good companx because two former rescue seals Hanois and

Jethou Bumblebee were also spotted in the same waters.

Double BRIT award winning singer`songwriter Ben Howard has

been announced as the Sundax night headliner for Jersey Live. He had a

top ten hit with single Onlx Love. And joins Ellie Goulding who has

already been confirmed as the Saturday Night headliner. That is it

There will be some sunshine coming through at times. It will bd

difficult to pin down. We h`ve showers in the vicinity. Thdy could

be sharp at times through the night. Some rumbles of thunder at

times expected. We start tolorrow morning potentially with sole heavy

thundery rain in place. It could be quite intense. Things will hmprove.

Can the afternoon, we should see some sunshine coming through. In the

coming days, a mixture of stnshine and showers. The full UK forecast

follows. through the early hours. So for

Cornwall, tomorrow should start largely dry and bright, a bht of

sunshine perhaps coming through But the further east you are, the more

likely you are to see these heavy, thundery downpours affecting you.

Now, they could be quite intense, as I mentioned, we could see some

disruption. Increasingly, though, through the day, we will sed more of

a showery picture and all of us at risk of some heavy, thunderx showers

for the afternoon. Thereaftdr, for Sunday, there are some further

showers around, but I think overall it should be a bit of a dridr and

brighter day, and fewer showers I think for most of us generally

especially the further east you are. And thereafter through the bank

holiday weekend things are improving. Monday it is mostly dry

and bright with some sunshine. Coming up shortly, we've got the
