Thai Police believe Jerseyman David Miller and his friend were murdered

:00:15.:00:18.

The pair were found dead on the island of Koh Tao at the weekend.

:00:19.:00:22.

The family of 24`year`old Mr Miller described him today

:00:23.:00:24.

A young man with everything to look forward to.

:00:25.:00:30.

David Miller's family have paid tribute to him tonight, describing

:00:31.:00:33.

him as hard`working, bright and conscientious.

:00:34.:00:35.

He will be sorely, sorely missed. David had been in Thailand after

:00:36.:00:49.

finishing a six`week work placement in Australia with this Jersey`based

:00:50.:00:51.

But his body was found on this beach in Koh Tao along with 23`year`old

:00:52.:00:56.

David had been due to leave Thailand today to start his final year

:00:57.:01:00.

at Leeds University which described him as an excellent student with

:01:01.:01:03.

The police in Thailand have released this video footage showing David

:01:04.:01:06.

This man following behind, believed to be a migrant worker,

:01:07.:01:17.

David was a former student here at Victoria College.

:01:18.:01:30.

Today the flag has being flying at half mast.

:01:31.:01:32.

The headmaster Alun Watkins has told the BBC David was a confident,

:01:33.:01:35.

articulate member of the College with a good circle of friends.

:01:36.:01:38.

He was a bright young man and a talented artist, with real

:01:39.:01:41.

potential to forge a worthwhile and fruitful path in his life.

:01:42.:01:43.

And those are sentiments that have been expressed throughout today `

:01:44.:01:46.

And in Thailand the island community's seen an outpouring of

:01:47.:01:58.

Locals held a vigil at the spot David and Hannah were killed.

:01:59.:02:02.

In Jersey the head of the Methodist Church says people here

that. David and Hannah's bodies have

:02:16.:02:18.

been taken to Bangkok forensic tests before they're finally

:02:19.:02:20.

returned to their families. Well BBC reporter Jonathan Head is

in Koh Tao and sent us this update It is not sure why the police have

:02:23.:02:35.

focused on the Burnley 's community. We have seen them lining up men

:02:36.:02:44.

here. There are migrant workers all over Thailand and they are a big

:02:45.:02:49.

part of the workforce. One police chief told me he didn't believe a

:02:50.:02:53.

Thai national could have committed such a horrible crime. We will have

:02:54.:02:59.

to see whether this is the right line of enquiry. They no longer

centred on whether or not Senator Ozouf knew there would be

a shortfall in next year?s budget. There is talk about deficits. There

is inaccurate criticisms about forecast and I believe the track

worse. But St Helier Deputy Geoff Southern

from the party Reform Jersey says Bringing today's vote, he says

:05:01.:05:03.

the budget was not balanced fairly and Senator Ozouf panicked, moving

money around to make ends meet. I am concerned about the way in

:05:08.:05:20.

which we have been treated and that information, I believe, has been not

:05:21.:05:27.

given to members to make proper decisions, particularly around the

2014 budget. Also the way the adjustments have been made,

scrambling around taking parts to pay for standard revenue, I believe

is not the way to proceed. Whilst Senator Ozouf might have

Monday, but with less than a week I'll leave you with the weather,

:05:59.:06:01.

with David Braine. The dry weather is drawing to a

:06:02.:06:24.

close as we head through the rest of this week. There is the risk of some

:06:25.:06:31.

showers but we have a warm spell of weather still with us. There is

:06:32.:06:34.

still the risk of some showers turning up. Not many of those

:06:35.:06:39.

overnight tonight. We have some cloud in the end of the night but it

:06:40.:06:50.

should remain dry. For tomorrow, we will get some sunshine through the

:06:51.:06:53.

morning and into the afternoon but towards the end of the day, the

:06:54.:06:57.

cloud may threaten some showers overnight. It is going to be a very

:06:58.:07:08.

close and warm feeling day tomorrow. It is cooler along those east facing

:07:09.:07:14.

coasts. As we head towards the weekend, it is a shade cooler but it

:07:15.:07:19.

is also more unsettled. We are likely to see some showers develop.

:07:20.:07:24.

We have continued risk of showers into the weekend.

:07:25.:07:32.

you now with Darren Bett and the national weather.

:07:33.:07:58.

This cloud looks worse than it is. Glitching the extreme south-west

:07:59.:08:08.

overnight. Ahead of it we've got an easterly air flow. That low cloud

:08:09.:08:12.

that never cleared the North Sea coasts is pushing through the gaps,

:08:13.:08:17.

running on to high ground. We'll have clearer skies further west but

:08:18.:08:21.

the low cloud is more extensive, leading to mist and fog over hills

:08:22.:08:25.

and coasts in the east, where we could have drizzle. Another warm ni

:08:26.:08:32.

ahe Tomorrow starts slowly for many of us, grey and
