Good evening. A search operation is continuing on

Lough Erne for a man who is missing after a boat capsized. Five people

who were also on board made it to shore.

The search has been under way for four hours, the emergency services

were called after receiving a report that a boat containing six people

had overturned and that those people were in the water. By the time they

arrived at the scene, close to the boathouse, five people had raided

ashore, but one person remained unaccounted for. The search has been

taking place involving the RNLI, lifeboat and the police boat, and

the coastguard helicopter was also here, hovering over the scene.

Firefighters and police officers have also been conducting searches

along the shoreline will stop the overturned boat, a metal hold

fishing boat, was found near the lock a short time ago. A lifeboat

towed back here into any skill in. Darkness has now fallen, the search

operation is being wound down for the night. The search for the

missing man will resume in the morning.

The victim of a racist attack in Newtownabbey says she's now too

afraid to live in her home. The front window of the house at Linford

Green in Rathcoole was smashed last night while the mother and her three

children crouched in fear upstairs. It happened at 2:10am. Whoever it

was appears to have known which has they wanted and threw a brick

through the living room window. Upstairs, a woman and her children

slept. The brick shattered more than the front window will stop it is a

frightening experience, I have sent my children to school because I want

to keep them in a routine, I do not want to worry them, but it is a

frightening experience. I would not wish it on my worst enemy, it is

terrifying. She has lived here for a year. Shortly after moving in,

somebody scrawled racist graffiti across her front door, and she says

she wants to move. It is happening all over Belfast, where do I go? I

do not know. I am in a Catch-22. The police arrived within minutes and

were here again this morning, but with no arrests, her neighbour says

the attack -- the attacks are taking their toll. Disgusted, there are

three boys in there, it is not good. She does not bother anybody, you

never see them about. I see the kids go to school, they do not really, .

After this more sinister turn, a close friend says there is fear in

the air. I live two streets away, even though I have lived here

longer, there are no guarantees. I am really scared, obviously. Another

friend who visited from outside Lisbon says she is willing to pay

more rent to live somewhere she feels safer. Where I live, there is

none of this stuff, my children play outside with a neighbour's kids,

they do not see colour, they just see people, that is how you should

see people. This has left this family living in fear. It is not

just this family. Other members of ethnic minorities are fearful they

might be next. Dissident Republicans in north

Belfast are being blamed for two attacks in the last 24 hours.

Shortly after midnight, a man was wounded in the leg in a shooting at

Jamaica Court in Ardoyne. He then assaulted a paramedic, who was left

bruised and shaken. Then, in the same area, a petrol bomb was thrown

at a van used by a Northern Ireland Water contractor firm. The workers

were carrying out part of a ?10 million upgrade of water mains, but

it's thought the attackers mistakenly believed they were

installing water meters. Routine work on the water mains

halted abruptly this morning. As the contractors went about their work,

masked men arrived and used iron bars to attack the contractors'

lobby, broke the windscreen and said the vehicle alight. Nobody was

injured but the police and fire service were called and the

contractors have now been withdrawn from the area. The company said the

attack was unwarranted, unprovoked and unnecessary, and that the

contractors were working for the good of the community. It added the

rehab work is solely concerned with the improvement of the quality of

water and the reduction of interruptions and leakage. It is not

known when the work will be she. Hundreds of people have attended the

funeral of the former Belfast city councillor and Progressive Unionist

Party leader Hugh Smyth. He died earlier this week. His

coffin was escorted from the West Belfast Orange Hall on the Shankill

Road to St Anne's Cathedral for the service. PUP representatives carried

the coffin and councillors from across the political divide attended

to pay tribute to one of the best-known characters at the City

Hall. A court has been told that a Chinese

Triad gang was behind a cannabis-cultivation operation which

was disrupted by the PSNI. The police raided addresses in north,

west and east Belfast in 2012. A Chinese national, Zen Zyang, was

today jailed for nine months for drug offences and for trying to send

?50,000 in cash out of Northern Ireland.

Sport now, and the North West 200 reaches its climax tomorrow. And

after a double victory last night, one local hero was enjoying the

adulation from the home fans today. The wiki DS, Alastair Seeley! When

you are the fastest rider on the north coast, you are a man in

demand. This than 24 hours after securing a thrilling double

victory, he paid a special visit to Coleraine town centre to meet the

fans. I am really enjoying myself, the atmosphere is unreal, it is nice

to do the business on the track and put on a good show. They all

appreciated it. I was getting programmes waving at me, it is nice

to have that. Tomorrow will be busy, four races, I am looking

forward to it. Roll on tomorrow, hopefully everybody can cheer me on.

One person who will not be on the grid on Saturday is only a Costello,

who crashed in Thursday's practice. But she is back on her feet. My leg

must have taken the impact, I thought I had got away with a

bruised knee, they sent me for an x-ray and they found a break. That

will is out for Saturday. When things do not go your way on the

track, the ever present chaplains are a calming influence for

everybody. We see our role in train to help as many in that community,

whether it is officials or marshals on the scene, and if we can get

alongside them, sometimes all they need is an arm round their shoulder

and somebody to listen. The fans will be all ears tomorrow as they

get set for another spectacular day of racing.

In football, there was a disappointing start for the new

Derry City manager Peter Hutton. They were beaten 2-0 away by Cork

City tonight. It has been another lovely warm day,

the warmth will continue for a while this weekend, but changes are on the

way. Tonight, we can expect rain for the north and west. Parts of the

Southeast should stay dry and mild. It will be a cloudy day for most

places tomorrow, and some rain for a time, especially for the morning and

the North West. Parts of the Southeast will stay dry. Some damp

weather for the North West 200, but there will be some dry spells at

times, especially through the afternoon. Much of the rain will be

like. This is the area of rain, it weakens for a time tomorrow. Much of

eastern Scotland, England, Wales and the Republic of Ireland will be dry

and warm, with plenty of sunshine. There will still be borne across

Northern Ireland tomorrow, especially over Belfast and the

Southeast. Colder, cloudier and wet in the North and West, with the

brisk wind. The rain will reach everywhere for Saturday night into

Sunday, so a completely different day, cold, wet and windy. Hopefully,

it will ease off at times, but not going to far. An improvement on
