The man murdered in Londonderry last night

He was assaulted at a house in the Waterside area.

The victim's twin brother was also injured in the attack.

It's understood a 16-year-old youth has been arrested.

What started out as a party, ended in tragedy. A fight broke out at

this house in Milldare Crescent at 10pm last night. Police were called

to the property after receiving reports of an assault at half past

ten. It is understood 24-year-old Gerald Quinn was stabbed in the

neck. The victim was then taken to hospital here William later died.

Another 24-year-old man who is understood to be the victim's

brother was also injured in the incident. It is not thought to be

life-threatening. This young man had as whole life in front of him. He

played Gaelic football for a club nearby. It is heartbreaking to think

what his family are going through today and our thoughts and prayers

and the thoughts and prayers of the entire dairy community are with him

at this extremely sad and dramatic time. -- dairy community. There has

been hundreds of comments on social media and personal stories about

this young man. He was very popular in the area and he was very well

liked. He will be missed. A 16-year-old youth was arrested

shortly after midnight. He is being questioned by police. A postmortem

is scheduled to take place tomorrow to determine the cause of Gerrit

who was hurt in a high-speed crash in the North West 200 ten days ago

is back in intensive care. He left the unit last weekend

as his condition had improved. The Belfast Trust say

he is now seriously ill. Golf and Rory McIlroy has

secured his first win of the season by producing a dramatic finale

in the Irish Open, The Holywood golfer trailed

Scotland's Russell Knox by one shot with three holes to play

but he was able to turn it around It's his first victory

in the Irish Open as Rory McIlroy, return and host

delivered a very special win in front of his home fans. Sealing the

victory in emphatic style. At the 18th hole he hit this unforgettable

shot to set up an eagle. It is his first victory in six months but he

told me it is one of his most memorable ever wins. It means an

awful lot. This is the turn meant I have grown up watching as a kid. And

playing N as an amateur and dreaming about since I first held a golf

club. To win it today and win it in a fashion that I did and being host

as well, it means an awful lot. I do not usually get emotional about wins

or golf but I had to really hold back and try to hold back the tears

on the 18th green because it means a lot to me and so many people as

well. I think I realised that when I was had time to think before I

picked that final part in. Describe the feeling walking up. Was it a

relief to win your national tournament or pride? It was just

pride. I am very humbled by the reception I got. The reception all

week and to have a win in front of these guys who were willingly on,

all 72 holes this week, it is incredible. It is a day that I will

not forget for a long time. Rory donated his winnings of over 650,000

euros to his charity. Well done to Rory.

Gaelic football and Tyrone have beaten Derry

in the first round of the Ulster Championship.

The result was Derry 12 points, Tyrone three goals

A comfortable win here at Celtic Park Fort Tyrone. The first in the

championship against Derry. All the damage was done in the first half

with three goals. The first was a composed the Nash. The same player

than to be net shortly after -- composed finish. Peter Hart struck

right on the stroke of half time. Derry did come back into it in the

second half but did not make an impact on the scoreboard. Next up

for Tyrone and Mickey Hart is the Ulster semifinal against...
