accused of hiring hit men to kill his wife while on their South

African honeymoon is due to be extradited tomorrow. Shrien Dewani

and his wife Anni were victhms of a car jacking in 2010. Anni w`s later

shot. Two of her killers cl`im her husband arranged it, somethhng he's

always denied. From Cape Town, here's Andrew Plant.

For many, Shrien Dewani's extradition will be the beghnning of

a legal process delayed for far too long. For others, extraditing a man

suffering severe mental health problems will feel like a f`ilure.

After landing at Cape Town International Airport on Tudsday

morning, it's thought he'll be driven straight to the High Court

20km across the city. It's just a mile away from the Cape Grace Hotel,

where the couple stayed for just one night before the deadly carjacking

on 13th November 2010. Shridn Dewani's alleged role in his wife's

murder is based on the testhmony of two of her killers, taxi drhver Zola

Tongo and his accomplice. Both found guilty of Anni's murder, both given

reduced sentences. Both will be key witnesses at his trial. As soon as

Shrien Dewani lands, the clock will start ticking. Still sufferhng from

serious mental health probldms, there is a deadline to put him on

trial. That time frame is 18 months.

Authorities here in South Africa have that amount of time to put

Shrien Dewani on trial or to send him back to the UK. There's much we

don't know about his extradhtion process. We know it will be handles

by the Metropolitan Police's special extradition unit but we don't know,

for example, where they might pick Shrien Dewani up from. `` h`ndled.

It could be his family home or the hospital where he's been st`ying. We

also don't know exactly how much notice the family might be given. I

should say there will be a briefing here tomorrow at the High Court in

Cape Town. We should know more after that on exactly how this extradition

process will work. Emotional tributes have been paid to

Kayleigh Palmer, the 16`year`old girl from Cheltenham who was

assaulted on Wednesday and died in hospital yesterday. Today it's

emerged she was expecting a baby. Her friends are still in shock. Just

five days ago, Kayleigh Paller, known as Kay to her friends, was

still at school. But on Wednesday lunchtime, police were calldd to

Humber Road in Cheltenham, where she'd been attacked. Kay didd in

hospital yesterday morning. Today her friends told me she was five

months pregnant. She had another nice inside of her, which w`s her

little girl, and every time I saw her she was so excited about it She

was really happy and looking at baby clothes. We were all excited for

her. She was a personality, very outgoing and positive. And with just

such incredible kindness for others. Over 100 of her friends and teachers

have been to the school tod`y to pay their respects. Even though you were

so little, you had the whold package ` kind`hearted, passionate, driven.

Her boyfriend, 18`year`old @ston Robinson, has been charged with

attempted murder and is now in custody.

In rugby, Bath are through to the semifinals of the Amlin Challenge

Cup after a comfortable 39`7 victory against French side Brive at the

Rec. Bath, who ran in six tries will face the winners of tonight's

match between London Wasps `nd Gloucester in the semifinals.

wet day today, and for the rest of the evening, we continue to see that

rain become more widespread and persistence for a time overnight. We

tomorrow, the rain will continue to make its way across us throtgh the

morning but by the afternoon, drier conditions with some sunshine but

also the risk of a few sharp showers and temperatures a bit less mild,

around 13 to 14. On Tuesday, high pressure starts to Bill to `llow

drier, brighter conditions with some sunshine and cloudy on Wedndsday and

Good evening, after a fairly mild weekend, a fresher week in store for
