A unique event has taken pl`ce in the West today, designed to help

Surgeons and staff from Bristol Children's Hospital have

been encouraging youngsters with pacemakers to take more exercise,

because the benefits could be considerable.

But having a pacemaker doesn't stop her living an active lhfe.

I like doing PE and sports. Trying to keep her calm and steady is hard

work. She seems much more active than all of her friends. Th`t is

an event called Up The Pace, where cardiac surgeons

and health professionals encourage youngsters with heart devicds
