Moyes has been sacked after a season of blue results. He spent just ten | :00:00. | :00:00.
months Welcome to Wales Today. Our top | :00:00. | :00:07.
story: The men who say they're paid less than women. Now they're suing | :00:08. | :00:12.
the University they work for. Giggs has done it as a player but as | :00:13. | :00:16.
a manager can he spark a revival at Manchester United? I have been in | :00:17. | :00:23.
the dressing room with Ryan Giggs and if he speaks, you listen because | :00:24. | :00:27.
you know she has done everything in football. | :00:28. | :00:30.
On the buses. ?200,000 of taxpayers money to support rural services. Is | :00:31. | :00:36.
it money well spent? The council bosses on trial accused | :00:37. | :00:39.
of stopping proper scrutiny of their pay rises. | :00:40. | :00:44.
St Julian's chapel in Tenby was built in the 1870s for the fishermen | :00:45. | :00:49.
of the town. But plans to change it are not proving popular. | :00:50. | :01:06.
Good evening. Who gets paid what? Are men's wages less than women's at | :01:07. | :01:13.
the university they work for? 18 men are claiming sex discrimination at | :01:14. | :01:16.
the former Swansea Metropolitan University, now part of the | :01:17. | :01:18.
University of Wales, Trinity St David. The men, who work as | :01:19. | :01:23.
carpenters and caretakers, have taken their case to an industrial | :01:24. | :01:27.
tribunal, trying to recoup more than ?700,000 in lost wages. Nick Palit | :01:28. | :01:33.
reports. It's usually a battle fought by | :01:34. | :01:36.
working women fighting for equal pay with men but at this industrial | :01:37. | :01:40.
tribunal in Cardiff these three men claim they were paid less than | :01:41. | :01:46.
female colleagues on the same grade. Nick Thomas, Mike Betson and Rob | :01:47. | :01:49.
Cooze represent 18 tradesmen at Swansea's University of Wales, | :01:50. | :01:58.
Trinity St David. We feel we have been treated equally and we do have | :01:59. | :02:03.
a sex discrimination claim. How did you find out you appear paying | :02:04. | :02:09.
less? We had a meeting with the Vice Chancellor and the human resources | :02:10. | :02:14.
department and received a letter stating the calculation of other sad | :02:15. | :02:21.
-- salary. The ancillary staff worked as caretakers, maintenance | :02:22. | :02:24.
men and carpenters at various buildings in what was formerly | :02:25. | :02:27.
Swansea Metropolitan University. They were employed on a Grade 3 | :02:28. | :02:35.
salary. But they claim they were paid less than female Grade 3 staff | :02:36. | :02:38.
who worked as secretaries and librarians. Over the past seven | :02:39. | :02:46.
years they say the in equal pay gap has left them nearly ?30,000 out of | :02:47. | :02:52.
pocket. One carpenter said the overall consensus is it was because | :02:53. | :02:55.
they were men. The University dispute this. They say this | :02:56. | :03:00.
particular group of male workers had eight hours of guaranteed overtime | :03:01. | :03:05.
each week which the other women didn't have. April 2007 saw the | :03:06. | :03:09.
introduction of a statutory Gender Equality Duty for public bodies. Its | :03:10. | :03:12.
purpose to ensure the elimination of sex discrimination in pay and | :03:13. | :03:15.
conditions. Female workers have been the main beneficiaries of the | :03:16. | :03:17.
legislation and seven years ago cleaners, caterers and carers in | :03:18. | :03:20.
Neath Port Talbot were among the first to receive large pay-outs, | :03:21. | :03:24.
some up to ?7,500 pounds, to make up for years of unequal pay. The | :03:25. | :03:32.
pay-outs in Birmingham could reach as much as a billion pounds and the | :03:33. | :03:35.
authority there is considering the sale of the NEC to settle the equal | :03:36. | :03:40.
pay claims. Back in the Cardiff tribunal and this time it's the men | :03:41. | :03:43.
who claim they've been discriminated against. The university deny this | :03:44. | :03:46.
but if these men are successful the pay-out could be in excess of | :03:47. | :03:55.
?700,000. When we think a result of this | :03:56. | :04:00.
tribunal is much this case is expected to last three days on both | :04:01. | :04:03.
sides are adamant they are right. The barrister representing the | :04:04. | :04:06.
University has pointed out this group of men were in the position of | :04:07. | :04:12.
having eight hours guaranteed overnight -- overtime each week paid | :04:13. | :04:16.
at a time and a half. That is something of a great three female | :04:17. | :04:24.
staff did not get. But representing the workers, they were compelled to | :04:25. | :04:34.
work more hours. If these 18 men are successful in their claim, another | :04:35. | :04:37.
seven men are likely to bring a similar action. | :04:38. | :04:42.
Is Ryan Giggs the man to lead Manchester United back to the top of | :04:43. | :04:47.
the football world? That's the question millions of fans and plenty | :04:48. | :04:50.
of pundits are asking after the former Wales captain was appointed | :04:51. | :04:53.
interim manager at Old Trafford following today's sacking of David | :04:54. | :05:02.
Moyes. Here's Sachin Krishnan. In a career spanning more than two | :05:03. | :05:06.
decades, Ryan Giggs has seen and then almost everything. But has he | :05:07. | :05:09.
just been handed his big challenged yet -- biggest challenge yetess-mac | :05:10. | :05:15.
he has been tasked with taking over this big club. Initially the job is | :05:16. | :05:22.
on a temporary basis but BBC sport understands Ryan Giggs isn't being | :05:23. | :05:26.
considered for the role full-time. It is believed the Old Trafford | :05:27. | :05:29.
hierarchy want a more experienced candidate. Somebody like Ryan Giggs | :05:30. | :05:36.
is the perfect man to take over. Bring in somebody from abroad is you | :05:37. | :05:39.
will have problems with the don't know the English game. Ryan Giggs is | :05:40. | :05:47.
one of the best at making chances in the Premier league. He knows what it | :05:48. | :05:49.
takes to make chances and create goals. You know is how they have | :05:50. | :05:56.
played in the last 25 years. Ryan Giggs is Manchester United through | :05:57. | :05:59.
and through. He has been a wonderfully gifted player. Going | :06:00. | :06:04.
from bad to managing Manchester United in the long-term would be | :06:05. | :06:09.
extraordinary. There was no word from him at the training ground | :06:10. | :06:15.
today as the most senior player in the club commanding respect from his | :06:16. | :06:19.
new charges should not be a problem. I think Ryan Giggs will be onto a | :06:20. | :06:23.
winner straightaway. He will get more respect initially from the | :06:24. | :06:26.
group of players because he has been, done it. He has won trophies. | :06:27. | :06:35.
If he speaks, you listen because you know that he has done everything in | :06:36. | :06:41.
football. The last Welshman to take charge of Manchester United was a | :06:42. | :06:47.
giant of the club history. Jimmy Murphy was interim manager in the | :06:48. | :06:51.
aftermath of the 1958 Munich air disaster which claimed the lives of | :06:52. | :06:56.
eight players. Despite the poor and the position the club finds itself | :06:57. | :07:00.
in, Ryan Giggs will be given a rapturous reception for his first | :07:01. | :07:04.
game in charge which is on Saturday against Norwich. | :07:05. | :07:07.
A 10-year-old boy's access to internet pornography was likely to | :07:08. | :07:10.
be behind the alleged rape of his classmate in the school toilets, | :07:11. | :07:14.
Mold Crown Court has heard. Prosecutors say porn was watched by | :07:15. | :07:19.
both children. Oh The child, who is now 12, denies rape and inciting | :07:20. | :07:22.
another boy to engage in sexual activity at the school in the Colwyn | :07:23. | :07:28.
Bay area. The case continues. Campaigners have protested against | :07:29. | :07:31.
proposals for an open cast mine in the Rhymney Valley. They say they're | :07:32. | :07:35.
concerned about the future of the community if plans for Nant Llesg | :07:36. | :07:39.
near Rhymney go ahead. The developers say changes have been | :07:40. | :07:42.
made to address concerns and the scheme will create hundreds of jobs | :07:43. | :07:49.
as well as a community benefit fund. A woman from Haverfordwest has been | :07:50. | :07:52.
given a suspended jail sentence for cruelty to horses. Police were | :07:53. | :07:55.
called after concern from the RSPCA. You may find their footage | :07:56. | :08:00.
distressing. This stallion was removed from Lyndsey Morgan's | :08:01. | :08:02.
property after being examined by vets but was put down after he | :08:03. | :08:08.
didn't respond to treatment. Another mare is now being re-homed. | :08:09. | :08:15.
How do we improve bus services in rural Wales? That's the question the | :08:16. | :08:18.
Welsh Government is trying to answer. They're giving ?100,000 each | :08:19. | :08:23.
to two local authorities. It comes as some private companies around | :08:24. | :08:27.
Wales have cut services. But will ?200,000 really make a difference to | :08:28. | :08:32.
passengers? Charlotte Dubensikij has been finding out. | :08:33. | :08:39.
The bulk of bus service has been a lifeline for this woman. She lives | :08:40. | :08:50.
around seven miles north of Lampeter. Shoes is this bus service | :08:51. | :08:56.
to get to work. I was only part-time employee so with this service I have | :08:57. | :08:59.
been able to go into full-time employment. It has allowed me more | :09:00. | :09:04.
flexibility to be able to get to my job at different times of the day. | :09:05. | :09:11.
It has been vital. This service is tailored to the needs of its | :09:12. | :09:17.
passengers. Since this was launched in 2009, there have been more than | :09:18. | :09:21.
87,000 passenger journeys in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Over | :09:22. | :09:28.
the next week, Kerry began and available organ councils will each | :09:29. | :09:33.
receive ?100,000 to trial at the ideas. -- Ceredigion and the Vale of | :09:34. | :09:48.
Glamorgan councils. There is a range of buses provided by six or seven | :09:49. | :09:52.
different organisations and in the main, very little of that is | :09:53. | :09:56.
coordinated. On top of that, there is a massive schools movement every | :09:57. | :10:00.
morning and afternoon moving schoolchildren. All that needs to be | :10:01. | :10:08.
brought together. The extra money comes as some of Wales 's largest | :10:09. | :10:12.
bus operators cut services. They have blamed the reduction in cities | :10:13. | :10:17.
they receive. Within the last month the coach confirmed it is cutting | :10:18. | :10:20.
services in five counties in South Wales. While nearly 100 subsidised | :10:21. | :10:27.
bus routes have been scrapped by Welsh councils over the past three | :10:28. | :10:31.
years. We will be working with the health board and voluntary | :10:32. | :10:35.
organisations and bus user groups design services that directly link | :10:36. | :10:39.
in to local hospitals, local clinics and to appointment times. We think | :10:40. | :10:45.
it is important. Secondly, we're going to be using the money to fund | :10:46. | :10:50.
cheaper travel for young people between the ages of 16-21. The | :10:51. | :10:56.
transport minister says the scheme is about ensuring everybody in Wales | :10:57. | :11:00.
is able to access jobs and services via reliable public transport. While | :11:01. | :11:04.
the additional money has been welcomed by the Welsh Conservatives, | :11:05. | :11:10.
the leader described it as being little more than a sticking plaster. | :11:11. | :11:14.
Both councils have one near to road test their ideas. The best ones can | :11:15. | :11:19.
be transported elsewhere in Wales. Much more to come before seven | :11:20. | :11:22.
o'clock. Training tomorrow's ultrasound scanner staff. How | :11:23. | :11:26.
scientists here are leading the world. | :11:27. | :11:31.
And some of the world's top musicians head to Caernarfon for the | :11:32. | :11:40.
international harp festival. Three senior executives at | :11:41. | :11:42.
Caerphilly Council have appeared in court accused of misconduct in | :11:43. | :11:47.
public office. Chief executive Anthony O'Sullivan and two | :11:48. | :11:49.
colleagues are accused of preventing scrutiny of pay rises given to | :11:50. | :11:55.
senior staff in 2012. Paul Heaney reports from Bristol Magistrates | :11:56. | :12:00.
court. They were awarded pay rises worth | :12:01. | :12:04.
thousands of pounds but now find themselves in court accused of | :12:05. | :12:07.
failing to do their job. On the left, Caerphilly Council's chief | :12:08. | :12:09.
executive, Anthony O'Sullivan, on the right his deputy, Nigel Barnett, | :12:10. | :12:12.
both charged with misconduct in public office suspended on full pay. | :12:13. | :12:18.
Head of legal services, Daniel Perkins, seen here with the glasses, | :12:19. | :12:22.
is accused of the same offence charged with preventing scrutiny of | :12:23. | :12:25.
the pay rises awarded to executives here at Caerphilly Council. The | :12:26. | :12:31.
deals worth up to ?27,000 a year were agreed by councillors back in | :12:32. | :12:35.
2012 but when it became public knowledge staff, who were on a pay | :12:36. | :12:42.
freeze at the time, protested. Councillors eventually reversed the | :12:43. | :12:44.
original decision giving smaller pay rises instead. Gwent Police worked | :12:45. | :12:50.
closely with Caerphilly Council so the criminal investigation has been | :12:51. | :12:53.
handled by the Avon and Somerset Police which led to today's | :12:54. | :12:58.
appearance in court. More than 18 months after big pay rises were | :12:59. | :13:02.
agreed for the top executives at Caerphilly Council, three men now | :13:03. | :13:05.
face charges of misconduct in public office. After a brief hearing here | :13:06. | :13:10.
this morning, they are due in Crown Court next month. Paul Heaney, BBC | :13:11. | :13:14.
Wales Today, Bristol Magistrates Court. | :13:15. | :13:24.
It's one of the most commonly used tests carried out in our hospitals, | :13:25. | :13:27.
helping doctors create a picture of what goes on inside our bodies. Now, | :13:28. | :13:31.
a new ultrasound training simulator has been designed by scientists at | :13:32. | :13:34.
Cardiff University. They say it could "dramatically increase" the | :13:35. | :13:36.
availability of ultrasound screening worldwide. It is one of the most | :13:37. | :13:44.
commonly used tests in the health service. Helping doctors create a | :13:45. | :13:49.
picture of what is going on inside our bodies. But across the UK | :13:50. | :13:52.
training enough staff to use and analyse ultrasound scans is a huge | :13:53. | :13:59.
challenge. Now, a team of scientists at Cardiff University say this could | :14:00. | :14:03.
be the answer. They have spent a decade developing a virtual reality | :14:04. | :14:06.
training stimulator, the first of its kind using 3-D animation and | :14:07. | :14:14.
so-called real feel technology. Back in 2004 we realised there was a big | :14:15. | :14:21.
area to the training of stenographers -- sonographers | :14:22. | :14:23.
because there weren't enough trainers, there wasn't enough time | :14:24. | :14:28.
and opportunities for trainees to engage with real patients. The idea | :14:29. | :14:33.
was at the time to bring novel learning principles into the | :14:34. | :14:39.
equation. It is incredibly lifelike. It is really good in that | :14:40. | :14:43.
you don't have to have supervised sessions with somebody there. Any | :14:44. | :14:49.
innovation is welcome news according to the Society and College of | :14:50. | :14:52.
Radiographers. In a report it warned the UK wide shortage of staff | :14:53. | :14:56.
trained to use ultrasound was causing severe difficulties for many | :14:57. | :15:02.
trusts and health boards. Everything in that document is relevant today. | :15:03. | :15:05.
The managers have got a difficult jobs. They realise the pressure the | :15:06. | :15:13.
ultrasound service is under but it comes back to this issue of | :15:14. | :15:17.
funding. With the patients waiting longer than they should for some | :15:18. | :15:21.
diagnostic test site ultrasound is having travelled in Wales over the | :15:22. | :15:24.
last two years, the Welsh Government announced in March it would use ?5 | :15:25. | :15:27.
million of new funding to tackle the issue. It has helped support the | :15:28. | :15:32.
development of this training simulator. It is a device that is | :15:33. | :15:37.
going to change the availability of ultrasound worldwide. More so, in | :15:38. | :15:43.
the developing world because it is practically nonexistent. Over 100 | :15:44. | :15:47.
similar users have been sold hospitals in 11 countries as this | :15:48. | :15:53.
Welsh invention goes global. A holiday camp in Prestatyn that's | :15:54. | :15:56.
been running for 88 years has been forced to close. The Salford | :15:57. | :15:59.
Children's Holiday Camp nicknamed the Jam Butty Camp, has lost its | :16:00. | :16:02.
funding from Salford City Council, after a lack of bookings. Since | :16:03. | :16:05.
1926, it's offered seaside holidays to disadvantaged children. | :16:06. | :16:11.
Aberystwyth Football Club play their last home game in their existing | :16:12. | :16:15.
stadium tonight. Next season, they'll play in Newtown while their | :16:16. | :16:20.
stadium is being redeveloped. The plans are for a new 500 seater stand | :16:21. | :16:24.
and flats will be built alongside the stadium if planning permission | :16:25. | :16:37.
is granted. After delay in play, Glamorgan were bowled out in their | :16:38. | :16:39.
first innings against Gloucestershire. It is day three in | :16:40. | :16:49.
80 musicians from around the world are in Caernarfon this week for the | :16:50. | :16:54.
Wales International Harp Festival. The event also includes concerts and | :16:55. | :16:57.
competitions for youngsters. Matthew Richards is there for us, Matthew. | :16:58. | :17:07.
Thank you. A special treat for you tonight. This broadcast has live | :17:08. | :17:10.
accompaniment from three students competing here from America. Let's | :17:11. | :17:17.
find out more about what is happening with the defective. What | :17:18. | :17:22.
is the festival about? It celebrates the heart, that is basically it. | :17:23. | :17:28.
We're on the theme of remembering a great composer from Wales. We have | :17:29. | :17:38.
concerts, classes, workshops. It is very much getting the hearts | :17:39. | :17:44.
together from different countries, people have a common interest with | :17:45. | :17:49.
the heart. We have about 85 competitors here who share this love | :17:50. | :17:56.
and we have very distinguished jury members. You are trending to heart | :17:57. | :18:03.
as well. We are doing every level if we can, from the beginners to the | :18:04. | :18:06.
very accomplished young people who live here performing. There are | :18:07. | :18:14.
three night in the concept, three new compositions for the heart which | :18:15. | :18:20.
I am absolutely delighted about. You are here from America and judging | :18:21. | :18:25.
this week. Tell us why the heart has an appeal for you. I started playing | :18:26. | :18:30.
the harp when I was six and I was inspired by great players. I became | :18:31. | :18:36.
a heart professor and I was privileged to know people here who | :18:37. | :18:40.
have been influential in the heart world. Wales is one of those places | :18:41. | :18:46.
who attracted. We want to know more about the Welsh Harp tradition. For | :18:47. | :18:52.
people that might be looking at this and wondering if they can start. Is | :18:53. | :18:58.
it expensive? Anybody can start on a small instrument. We can teach them | :18:59. | :19:01.
perfect technique from the beginning. We have great teachers | :19:02. | :19:06.
here. It is a wonderful instrument. Children can take the heart to | :19:07. | :19:14.
church -- school. I think we are sold. It would be a shame not to | :19:15. | :19:20.
hear some of this music. Let's leave you with some of this fantastic | :19:21. | :19:21.
music. There's a row over plans to overhaul | :19:22. | :19:50.
one of Wales' most iconic chapels after campaigners have branded the | :19:51. | :19:54.
project soulless. St Julian's chapel in Tenby harbour was built in the | :19:55. | :19:57.
1870s to serve the fishing community but the congregation has dwindled. | :19:58. | :20:02.
The Church in Wales wants to modernise it to attract younger | :20:03. | :20:05.
worshippers but, as Abigail Neal reports, it's caused quite a storm. | :20:06. | :20:12.
It's not often you find a church decked with lobster pots and plastic | :20:13. | :20:16.
crabs but these are symbols of a history dating back hundreds of | :20:17. | :20:22.
years. Back in the 19th Century, fishing was the main busy here in | :20:23. | :20:26.
Tenby and as a result of that we have these buildings behind me. To | :20:27. | :20:31.
the right is St Julian's chapel, to the left private rooms. They could | :20:32. | :20:42.
have a hot meal and a rest. But things are changing. The church has | :20:43. | :20:45.
decided to modernise. The fishing industry has made way for tourism | :20:46. | :20:48.
and with it the congregation numbers at St Julian's have fallen away. So | :20:49. | :20:53.
the Church in Wales have come up with a plan. They want to attract a | :20:54. | :20:58.
younger crowd. Adding a new block with a kitchen and toilets and | :20:59. | :21:01.
modernising the interior, stripping away the fishing memorabilia. We | :21:02. | :21:10.
have a very strong thriving ministry to young people intently. -- Tenby. | :21:11. | :21:25.
This will not replace it. The youth group have been very successful. But | :21:26. | :21:28.
the idea of plain, whitewashed walls has been met with a backlash. 500 | :21:29. | :21:32.
people have signed a petition opposing the plans. It is very their | :21:33. | :21:39.
and somebody said to me it looks like a church hall. Somebody else | :21:40. | :21:42.
said it looked like a visitor centre. It hasn't got... If it is | :21:43. | :21:49.
going into a new, modern building it would be fine. But to put it into a | :21:50. | :21:55.
Victorian building, it doesn't seem to fit. Increasing the use of our | :21:56. | :21:59.
churches in Wales is something both sides want but then it comes to how | :22:00. | :22:03.
to do it, the devil is in the detail. | :22:04. | :22:07.
Let's see what the weather has in store. Behnaz has tonight's | :22:08. | :22:08.
forecast. We did have a lot more clout around | :22:09. | :22:15.
today compared with yesterday where temperatures reached a high of 20 | :22:16. | :22:23.
Celsius. Today we managed a 14 Celsius in ask. Tonight, it will | :22:24. | :22:26.
remain cloudy and a few showers dotted around. Here is the satellite | :22:27. | :22:30.
picture. There are a few breaks ground. All in all, it is a cloudy | :22:31. | :22:36.
picture and will continue that way through tomorrow as well. Tonight, | :22:37. | :22:41.
we have a few showers and they will push through quickly. Behind it, we | :22:42. | :22:45.
have a brief break that it will remain cloudy and fairly mild. | :22:46. | :22:51.
Overnight temperatures seven Celsius in Welshpool, 10 Celsius in Swansea. | :22:52. | :22:55.
The breeze picks up overnight and we will see the arrival of the next | :22:56. | :22:59.
weather system and with that comes rain by dawn. It is the weather | :23:00. | :23:03.
system making its way in from the south-west. From the word go it | :23:04. | :23:08.
isn't wet everywhere, a dry start across the south east. It is a dry | :23:09. | :23:17.
but mild start of the morning. It is cloudy as well. A fuchsia was for | :23:18. | :23:21.
part of Gwyneth and Anglesey. They will head down to Cardigan Bay. It | :23:22. | :23:30.
is quite breezy from the word go but it is mild temperatures 10-11 | :23:31. | :23:36.
degrees. Then it is that weather system which will make its way north | :23:37. | :23:40.
and east with. For Pembrokeshire, a better end to the day although you | :23:41. | :23:44.
start on a wet note. By the afternoon is not bright enough. It | :23:45. | :23:48.
should be drier, temperatures still above the average for this time of | :23:49. | :23:54.
year ranging between 12-15. It will be breezy as that weather system | :23:55. | :23:59.
moves north and east was. Tomorrow night, that string band will clear | :24:00. | :24:03.
and behind it it is a cloudy picture. We will seize on breaks and | :24:04. | :24:08.
perhaps we could see some missed all four patches forming. Essentially, | :24:09. | :24:12.
it is dry. It will be colder than tonight. The wind certainly liked as | :24:13. | :24:18.
we go into Thursday. On Thursday, a much better day. Average high | :24:19. | :24:22.
pressure building and we can look forward to some sunshine, the odd | :24:23. | :24:27.
isolated shower. When the sun gets added to feel pleasant with highs of | :24:28. | :24:33.
13-14 degrees. It is all eyes on this area of low pressure which will | :24:34. | :24:37.
make its way from the south-west ringing in wet and windy conditions | :24:38. | :24:40.
through Saturday. We're keeping an eye on that. Thursday and Friday we | :24:41. | :24:47.
can look forward to is in dry weather. Saturday and Sunday | :24:48. | :24:51.
becoming unsettled as low pressure takes charge. Today's fixture is of | :24:52. | :24:54.
Pembroke Castle. -- today's fixture. The headlines: 18 men are claiming | :24:55. | :25:10.
sex discrimination against the former Swansea University. The men | :25:11. | :25:15.
have taken their case to an industrial tribunal trying to | :25:16. | :25:18.
re-coop of more than ?700,000 in lost wages. | :25:19. | :25:21.
After just ten months in the job, David Moyes has been sacked as | :25:22. | :25:24.
manager of Manchester United. Former Wales captain Ryan Giggs has been | :25:25. | :25:28.
put in temporary charge of the team but the BBC understands he is not | :25:29. | :25:31.
being considered for the job full-time. As UKIP launches in | :25:32. | :25:45.
nationwide poster campaign, is the leader Nigel Farage has decided his | :25:46. | :25:49.
decision to employ his wife, who is German as a secretary. He denies she | :25:50. | :25:53.
is taken the job that could be performed by a British person | :25:54. | :25:59.
insisting no one else do it. Two local authorities are then given | :26:00. | :26:03.
?100,000 by the Welsh Government to try to improve brutal bus services. | :26:04. | :26:07.
It comes as some flavoured companies have cut services. If you have a | :26:08. | :26:13.
story we should know about, we would love to hear from you. You can | :26:14. | :26:15.
e-mail us. I'll have an update for you here at | :26:16. | :26:19.
eight o'clock and again after the BBC News at Ten. That's Wales Today, | :26:20. | :26:24.
thank you for watching. From all of us on the programme, good evening. | :26:25. | :26:27. |
