Good evening. Some breaking news tonight. In the past hour, a man

from Dolgellau has been airlifted to hospital with what are believed to

be serious leg injuries. It follows reports that explosives have been

detonated. The police, North Wales Fire and Rescue and ambulance

services are working at the scene, believed to be a private house in

the town. We'll bring you more on that story when we have it.

In other news, Wales could receive more money from the Treasury under a

Labour UK government, according to the Shadow Scottish Secretary.

Margaret Curran said the formula for funding the devolved nations

wouldn't change. But she said Labour would recognise, Wales' "claim to

extra resources". Daniel Davies reports.

It determines how much Wales has to spend on public services, including

schools and hospitals. Known as the Barnett Formula, it has been around

since the 1970s, proof according to some but it has stood the test of

time. But Labour ministers in Cardiff Bay disagree, saying the

system short-changes the Welsh Government, and they want a new one.

On the campaign trail, Ed Miliband said a Labour UK government would

keep the Barnett formula, which sets the Scottish budget as well. Mr

Miliband also said Labour would look at claims Wales loses out. One of

his Shadow Cabinet members, campaigning against Scottish

independence, said Labour recognises there is as Pacific set of funding

issues in Wales. Does that mean more funding for devolved services in

Wales? I think that looks the more funding in the future. Ed Miliband

has recognised the very specific issue in relation to Wales, not to

resolve that at the expense of Scotland as some may claim, to make

sure Welsh issues are addressed. The Sunday Herald became the first paper

to called for a yes vote in the independence referendum. Funding is

a big part of the debate. If Ed Miliband gets to Downing Street, he

will not change things for Scotland. The aim is to keep things as they

are in Scotland while also satisfying Welsh Labour ministers

who want what they called their funding.

A 42-year-old man from the Port Talbot area has been arrested in

connection with allegations of 'malicious communication' following

the death of the teacher Ann Maguire at a school in Leeds. Mrs Maguire

died after suffering multiple stab wounds on Monday. A 15-year-old boy

has been charged with her murder. The Chair of Governors at a school

in the Ebbw Valley at the centre of an alleged murder plot says he's

proud of the way staff reacted when concerns were first raised. Police

were called to Cwmcarn High school on Thursday to investigate the

behaviour of two pupils. Maths teacher Alison Cray, who's

understood to have been the intended target, has also praised the school.

The Cardiff City Supporters Trust is asking club owner Vincent Tan to

switch the team's colours back from red to blue to help restore what it

calls the 'severely damaged relationship' between the club and

fans. Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League yesterday after

only one season in the top flight. One way of saying the supporters, we

value you, would be for a Vincent Tan and the club to say we're

changing the blue as soon as possible. That is what the vast

majority of supporters want, one way of making up for a really

disappointing season. Rugby and Pontypridd have won the

Swalec Cup for the third time in four years. This afternoon they beat

Cross Keys 21-8 at the Millennium Stadium. Centre Gavin Dacey scored

the second of their two tries. Ponty are still on course to complete the

League and Cup double for the second season in a row.

Cricket and Glamorgan's bowlers enjoyed a good day as they started

their Championship match against Worcestershire. They reduced the

visitors to 232-9 at the close. Graham Wagg and Dean Cosker have

Good evening. It has been a largely dry weekend but the satellite shows

most sunshine further south and east. Thicker cloud made it hazy

across North and West Wales. After a fine start tomorrow, rain returns

later in the day. Tonight stays largely dry and clear, frost free,

but it could turn chilly in rural mid Wales. Tomorrow starts trying

with sunny spells but cloud will thicken from the West, patchy rain

spreading in later. Warm southerly air, highs of 15 Celsius along the

north coast tomorrow. Low pressure moving in from the Atlantic then, it

will push the hide it has been keeping things settled out towards

eastern Europe. Sunshine and showers on Tuesday and more unsettled

midweek. Windy with bright spells and some showers.
