We're in Cardiff on the latest stop of our tour of Wales. | :00:09. | :00:12.
In just over an hour, the last live television debate | :00:13. | :00:15.
With just over a week to go until the election, | :00:16. | :00:18.
they know tonight may be crucial to winning your vote. | :00:19. | :00:21.
I don't know who to vote for. No one does a good job. | :00:22. | :00:24.
Everyone, especially young people, take an | :00:25. | :00:25.
interest in politics because it is going to affect you for longer. | :00:26. | :00:28.
Also tonight, the Prime Minister says there's no guarantee that UK | :00:29. | :00:32.
government efforts to save the steel industry here will succeed. | :00:33. | :00:35.
We meet the retailers in Queensferry who say these roadworks | :00:36. | :00:41.
And with 100 days to go until the Rio Olympics, | :00:42. | :00:46.
we look at the Welsh athletes who've already earned a place in Team GB. | :00:47. | :00:49.
I think I have still got my head in the clouds. | :00:50. | :00:53.
It has not really sunk in. It is just an incredible feeling. | :00:54. | :01:11.
Tonight the city plays host to the final televised leaders' | :01:12. | :01:17.
debate ahead of next week's election. | :01:18. | :01:20.
Six party leaders will take to the stage to make | :01:21. | :01:23.
In what may be an election with a low turnout, tonight's | :01:24. | :01:29.
performances may be crucial to electoral success. | :01:30. | :01:32.
And here's why debates like this can be so important. | :01:33. | :01:35.
Last time around, in this constituency, Cardiff Central, | :01:36. | :01:38.
the result was so close, Labour beat the Liberal Democrats | :01:39. | :01:42.
And the constituency that lies to the north of the city regularly | :01:43. | :01:50.
changes hands between the Conservatives and Labour. | :01:51. | :01:53.
Among the lowest in Wales at just shy of 37%. | :01:54. | :01:59.
So now you know the figures you'll understand why the leaders | :02:00. | :02:03.
may be feeling the heat backstage as they rehearse | :02:04. | :02:07.
Here's our political editor Nick Servini. | :02:08. | :02:15.
It is all about performance tonight as the six main party leaders | :02:16. | :02:19.
lock horns for the last time in the centre of Cardiff. | :02:20. | :02:23.
But with fears of a low turnout, as the Assembly election has been | :02:24. | :02:26.
overshadowed by the EU referendum and the steel crisis, | :02:27. | :02:29.
what do people in Cardiff Central, Wales' tightest marginal seat, | :02:30. | :02:34.
I am not interested in the Assembly really. | :02:35. | :02:46.
I won't to decide until the very last moment just in case. | :02:47. | :02:51.
Did you know there was a leaders' debate tonight? | :02:52. | :02:53.
Taking part in tonight's vote will be Carwyn Jones for Labour, | :02:54. | :03:02.
Andrew RT Davies for the Conservatives, Leanne Wood | :03:03. | :03:05.
for Plaid Cymru, Kirsty Williams for the Liberal Democrats, | :03:06. | :03:09.
and Alice Hooker-Stroud for the Greens. | :03:10. | :03:15.
Inevitably it will be Carwyn Jones who is under most scrutiny | :03:16. | :03:18.
because Labour have been the party in government | :03:19. | :03:21.
but the opposition parties have to strike a balance. | :03:22. | :03:25.
They want to get their blows in on Labour but, at the same time, | :03:26. | :03:29.
in a positive way, set out what they would do | :03:30. | :03:33.
Last week's ITV Wales debate came to life on the subject | :03:34. | :03:39.
The expectation is that health will play a more | :03:40. | :03:44.
I don't think anybody screwed up last week | :03:45. | :03:49.
but I don't think anybody cut through either. | :03:50. | :03:51.
I think some of the polling demonstrated that the electorate | :03:52. | :03:54.
was warming to them in similar sorts of ways. | :03:55. | :03:57.
We had a really interesting opinion poll figures earlier this week | :03:58. | :04:01.
showing Leanne Wood connecting with the audience. | :04:02. | :04:05.
Plaid Cymru are feeling pretty buoyed up. | :04:06. | :04:09.
I can imagine them trying to do something to trigger a final sprint | :04:10. | :04:13.
towards actually substantially increasing their seats next week. | :04:14. | :04:18.
And one bit of advice from a former adviser to Welsh Labour who says | :04:19. | :04:22.
above all, the leaders need to avoid getting bogged down in detail. | :04:23. | :04:28.
We are not that sure how many undecided there are out there | :04:29. | :04:32.
because people, the opinion polls are quite | :04:33. | :04:34.
It could make a difference in some marginal seats | :04:35. | :04:40.
but only if they really make a strong case. | :04:41. | :04:42.
If all of the leaders focus on minor elements of manifestos of different | :04:43. | :04:46.
parties and they start rowing with each other about | :04:47. | :04:49.
percentages here and there, people will turn off. | :04:50. | :04:53.
There are not many set piece events that give politicians | :04:54. | :04:57.
the opportunity to reach out to those who would otherwise | :04:58. | :04:59.
This is one of them and one they will all want to maximise. | :05:00. | :05:06.
Well, the technical rehearsals are underway, | :05:07. | :05:09.
Nick, this really is a significant evening | :05:10. | :05:14.
That's right. This is where all the action will be denied. In an | :05:15. | :05:30.
election campaign, hundreds of people are involved | :05:31. | :05:33.
behind-the-scenes but over the next few hours, it really does come down | :05:34. | :05:37.
to the six key individuals and point is, at this stage in the campaign, | :05:38. | :05:42.
if there is a strong performance by a particular leader, it could really | :05:43. | :05:46.
generate a sense of momentum as we head into the final week. In terms | :05:47. | :05:51.
of the content tonight, I have spoken to the debate produces, and | :05:52. | :05:55.
they say they have had loads of questions on the of the NHS. The | :05:56. | :06:00.
likelihood is that that will be the first subject and topic that is | :06:01. | :06:04.
discussed. The opposition parties were like that. Expect lots of | :06:05. | :06:08.
criticism on things like waiting times and access to GPs. In way of | :06:09. | :06:14.
defence from Carwyn Jones, is that lots of talk of the junior doctors | :06:15. | :06:18.
strike in England and how there is not one in Wales. Also expect 20 on | :06:19. | :06:23.
the economy, not just the steel crisis but also the major | :06:24. | :06:28.
infrastructure and plans for an M4 relief road. And also education, may | :06:29. | :06:34.
be the surprise package in previous debates, in terms of the Passion it | :06:35. | :06:38.
has aroused. All to play for in what will be the last set piece events of | :06:39. | :06:40.
this campaign. And you can see the debate | :06:41. | :06:43.
on BBC One Wales and Elsewhere today, Ukip leader | :06:44. | :06:45.
Nigel Farage says he hasn't spoken to Neil Hamilton | :06:46. | :06:54.
during the Assembly Speaking in Caerphilly earlier, | :06:55. | :06:57.
Mr Farage insisted he supported all the party's candidates and hoped | :06:58. | :07:02.
Mr Hamilton would do a very good job Senior party sources have said | :07:03. | :07:07.
Nigel Farage and the Ukip Wales leader Nathan Gill were unhappy | :07:08. | :07:13.
Mr Hamilton was selected. I have supported all | :07:14. | :07:17.
of our candidates. I have come back again and again | :07:18. | :07:20.
to Wales, repeatedly. I am here today, I will be | :07:21. | :07:23.
back again next week. This election matters to me, | :07:24. | :07:26.
matters to our party and matters More from the centre | :07:27. | :07:29.
of Cardiff later. We've been telling you about | :07:30. | :07:34.
the larger parties over the last few weeks, tonight we'll tell | :07:35. | :07:38.
you what some of the smaller parties are offering at the | :07:39. | :07:41.
election next week. Now with the rest of the day's | :07:42. | :07:44.
news, here's Nicky. The Prime Minister, David Cameron | :07:45. | :07:47.
says there's no guarantee that government efforts | :07:48. | :07:50.
to save the British steel industry will be successful, | :07:51. | :07:53.
but it's doing everything it can. The UK government said last week it | :07:54. | :07:57.
would consider taking a stake in Tata's UK operations | :07:58. | :08:02.
after they were put up for sale. While I want to do everything we can | :08:03. | :08:15.
to secure the future not only for Port Talbot but also | :08:16. | :08:19.
for Scunthorpe and steel-making in Britain, we are coping | :08:20. | :08:22.
with a massive oversupply, a collapse in prices from China, | :08:23. | :08:25.
so we must do all we can. There is no guarantee of success, | :08:26. | :08:28.
we will work hard, get a proper sales process and get behind it | :08:29. | :08:31.
on a bipartisan basis, Well, our business correspondent | :08:32. | :08:35.
Brian Meechan is here. Brian, what more did | :08:36. | :08:40.
the Prime Minister have to say? There has been some speculation | :08:41. | :08:51.
around today in newspapers that because the ground has completely | :08:52. | :08:55.
shifted since Tata put these sites up for sale, Tata could be having a | :08:56. | :09:02.
rethink about that. Now there is that 25% state that the UK | :09:03. | :09:06.
Government has offered, potentially hundreds of millions of extra | :09:07. | :09:10.
investment. The UK Government has said that co-investment is for | :09:11. | :09:14.
another buyer, it is not available for Tata. It has said if the | :09:15. | :09:18.
#colourgreen does decide to change its mind, it will look at whether | :09:19. | :09:23.
financial help or whether there will be any financial help made available | :09:24. | :09:30.
to the company. I think we are where we work, ultimately. We have got the | :09:31. | :09:35.
two businesses, Liberty and the management buyout, going through the | :09:36. | :09:40.
process publicly, but there are other interested parties who have | :09:41. | :09:43.
not gone public. And we will be hearing from the Business Secretary | :09:44. | :09:49.
Sajid Javid tomorrow. He is going to talk to the business committee in | :09:50. | :09:53.
the House of Commons. We will also hear from Tata. We have not heard | :09:54. | :09:57.
from them since a lot of the new information has come out. So plenty | :09:58. | :10:01.
to watch tomorrow morning to see those developments. | :10:02. | :10:03.
A Wrexham-based football club has severed all ties with a player over | :10:04. | :10:06.
remarks he made on Twitter about the Hillsborough disaster. | :10:07. | :10:09.
26-year-old Jonny Taylor, who played for Gresford Athletic, | :10:10. | :10:12.
retweeted a comment about fans' behaviour | :10:13. | :10:16.
The club says it does not condone the views and wants to distance | :10:17. | :10:21.
The inquests concluded the 96 fans were unlawfully killed. | :10:22. | :10:30.
Traders in Flintshire say they're losing business | :10:31. | :10:32.
Delays mean the improvement work in Queensferry has been extended | :10:33. | :10:37.
Business owners say they've had little communication from | :10:38. | :10:42.
the council about the disruption, as Matthew Richards reports. | :10:43. | :10:45.
Andre Potter runs a furniture store in Queensferry and for the past | :10:46. | :10:49.
12 weeks it's been in the middle of a construction site | :10:50. | :10:52.
as work is carried out on traffic easing measures. | :10:53. | :10:55.
But the delays caused by long traffic jams and the restricted | :10:56. | :10:58.
visibility of the store are having a financial impact and it's | :10:59. | :11:01.
This started in the first week of February and I would say our sales | :11:02. | :11:06.
They are closing down the roundabout not this weekend | :11:07. | :11:10.
but the weekend after, which will stop any traffic | :11:11. | :11:14.
A few stores down, this sports shop has been a fixture | :11:15. | :11:21.
in Queensferry for decades, but the added journey times are also | :11:22. | :11:24.
He lives a mile down the road and it has taken him | :11:25. | :11:32.
It's an effort for people to get a Queensferry at the moment | :11:33. | :11:37.
The work will step up a gear next week as the major A494 | :11:38. | :11:43.
The work has taken longer than expected. | :11:44. | :11:46.
Flintshire Council has apologised for the delay and disruption | :11:47. | :11:51.
caused by the works but says access to the properties | :11:52. | :11:54.
and businesses in the vicinity will be maintained throughout. | :11:55. | :11:56.
However, many business owners feel they are losing customers | :11:57. | :11:59.
because local people are staying away from the area | :12:00. | :12:02.
and potential passing trade is being lost in traffic queues. | :12:03. | :12:05.
Let's make it clear, there will be no businesses left isolated. | :12:06. | :12:09.
We are doing our best to improve signage to businesses | :12:10. | :12:14.
on the periphery but every business will be provided | :12:15. | :12:18.
A public meeting is being held tomorrow to update local | :12:19. | :12:22.
people and businesses on the current situation. | :12:23. | :12:25.
Business owners say their only hope is that the eventual improvement | :12:26. | :12:28.
to the road will bring a corresponding boost in trade. | :12:29. | :12:40.
Much more to come before seven o'clock. | :12:41. | :12:42.
The Olympics in Rio is 100 days away. | :12:43. | :12:44.
But how many Welsh athletes will make it? | :12:45. | :12:46.
How unusual is it? I'll tell you later. | :12:47. | :12:49.
Plus what's in store for the bank holiday weekend. | :12:50. | :12:51.
Before that, let's return to Jamie in Cardiff city centre. | :12:52. | :12:55.
The audience are taking their seats in the auditorium | :12:56. | :13:00.
Just an hour to go now until tonight's live | :13:01. | :13:04.
Over the last few weeks we've been telling you what the largest parties | :13:05. | :13:10.
are offering ahead of next Thursday's election. | :13:11. | :13:12.
Tonight it's the turn of some of the other parties hoping | :13:13. | :13:14.
To see what they have on offer, here's Carl Roberts. | :13:15. | :13:19.
The 60 Assembly Members elected on the 5th of May will meet | :13:20. | :13:22.
in the Senedd but if the Abolish the Welsh Assembly party wins seats, | :13:23. | :13:26.
they won't want to be here at all, but will fight to close | :13:27. | :13:29.
The Assembly now wants more powers, they want more Assembly Members, | :13:30. | :13:36.
a pay rise, tax-raising powers and a separate legal system. | :13:37. | :13:42.
The Welsh Office and our 40 MPs in Westminster did the job perfectly | :13:43. | :13:51.
A crisis in the steel industry has arguably overshadow the Assembly | :13:52. | :13:59.
election campaign and focused the minds of politicians | :14:00. | :14:02.
The Welsh Communist Party wants the next Welsh government | :14:03. | :14:07.
to nationalise the steel industry and are calling on Labour supporters | :14:08. | :14:09.
to give their second vote on the regional list to the party. | :14:10. | :14:13.
There is so much that could be done with a thoroughly modernised steel | :14:14. | :14:17.
industry but we don't have those resources at the moment. | :14:18. | :14:20.
Only the Communist Party in Wales is standing in this election | :14:21. | :14:24.
not only for a Welsh Assembly and government with real powers | :14:25. | :14:27.
and resources to make a big difference but we believe this needs | :14:28. | :14:31.
to take place within a federal Britain so that the wealth | :14:32. | :14:35.
that is currently hoarded by the wealthiest 10% | :14:36. | :14:39.
of the population, who avoid paying their taxes, would be | :14:40. | :14:43.
redistributed to all of the nations and regions | :14:44. | :14:46.
The Monster Raving Loony Party have launched a so-called manic-festo | :14:47. | :14:52.
Policies include re-routing any M4 relief road to boost | :14:53. | :14:57.
tourism in Porthcawl, Tenby and even take it | :14:58. | :15:00.
We are offering an alternative for people and we are saying | :15:01. | :15:05.
If you don't like what is being offered in the mainstream, | :15:06. | :15:10.
We will be on everybody's ballot paper and everybody in Wales | :15:11. | :15:15.
gets the chance to vote for the Monster Raving Loony Party. | :15:16. | :15:18.
There are plenty of people and parties after your vote. | :15:19. | :15:22.
There is a full list on the BBC election website. | :15:23. | :15:26.
Tomorrow, our tour heads to Merthyr College and we'll be | :15:27. | :15:30.
assessing Ukip's chances in next week's election. | :15:31. | :15:33.
Let's cross over to Lucy now, who's in the BBC tent. | :15:34. | :15:39.
Now, each one of the politicians in the leaders' debate | :15:40. | :15:45.
would like you to vote for them, so they could be running | :15:46. | :15:48.
the country after the election, but what would you do | :15:49. | :15:52.
if you were the First Minister of Wales? | :15:53. | :15:55.
That's the idea behind My Manifesto 2016. | :15:56. | :15:59.
Lucy's been to meet one woman from Cardiff who feels very strongly | :16:00. | :16:04.
Does where you live in Wales make it more or less likely that you'll get | :16:05. | :16:13.
access to certain expensive drugs and treatments? | :16:14. | :16:17.
Annie Mulholland has spent the last five years | :16:18. | :16:20.
She got in touch to tell us what she would do | :16:21. | :16:25.
If I was First Minister, I would stop the NHS | :16:26. | :16:31.
Annie was told a drug which had not been approved for use | :16:32. | :16:36.
on the NHS because of its cost could prolong her life. | :16:37. | :16:39.
Patients in Wales can apply to their health board | :16:40. | :16:42.
to get these treatments in exceptional circumstances. | :16:43. | :16:45.
Annie's health board turned her down. | :16:46. | :16:47.
Provision for cancer in Wales is really different | :16:48. | :16:50.
First of all it was drugs and then there were other things as well. | :16:51. | :16:55.
I started to look to find out where do I need to live in Wales | :16:56. | :16:59.
to optimise my life span and I couldn't get any | :17:00. | :17:01.
information, but I could get information about England. | :17:02. | :17:05.
Annie went to stay with her daughter in London | :17:06. | :17:07.
She claims it would have been easier being closer to home. | :17:08. | :17:12.
When you have a terminal diagnosis, one thing you want to do is spend | :17:13. | :17:15.
as much of your time with your family, you don't | :17:16. | :17:18.
want to be going up and down to another place for treatment. | :17:19. | :17:22.
It would have reduced the most terrible amount of trauma | :17:23. | :17:26.
Health boards were set up so funds can best serve the local population. | :17:27. | :17:32.
Annie says if she was First Minister, a single power | :17:33. | :17:35.
would decide who could receive non-approved drugs or treatments | :17:36. | :17:39.
rather than one for each of the seven health boards. | :17:40. | :17:43.
And she is not just talking about cancer patients | :17:44. | :17:46.
Annie's cancer is no longer responding to treatment | :17:47. | :17:51.
but she hopes in the future patients will have more choice. | :17:52. | :17:58.
The guilt of having sorted myself out is enormous | :17:59. | :18:01.
It has been my nine to five job, Monday to Friday, for the last | :18:02. | :18:07.
three and a half years, because I want to make sure that | :18:08. | :18:11.
other people can be discerning if they want to and they can make | :18:12. | :18:16.
And I just hope, if by having cancer and being the person I am, | :18:17. | :18:22.
things might change for the better in future, | :18:23. | :18:26.
Well, let's talk to our health correspondant Owain Clarke. | :18:27. | :18:35.
Let's be clear, Annie Mulholland is not talking about any differences of | :18:36. | :18:50.
policy between Wales and England, merely asking whether there is a | :18:51. | :18:54.
level playing field within Wales. New drugs for a range of conditions, | :18:55. | :18:59.
often expensive, are developed all the time, but how do you judge | :19:00. | :19:03.
whether the benefits of those drugs justify the costs when you consider | :19:04. | :19:08.
the needs of the entire population? Expert panels covering Wales and | :19:09. | :19:13.
England make those calls. If they say yes, the drugs should be | :19:14. | :19:18.
generally available but even if they say no, patients and their doctors | :19:19. | :19:22.
can try to get the NHS to pay for them through a different route. But | :19:23. | :19:26.
in order to do that, they need to demonstrate they are exceptional | :19:27. | :19:31.
cases, which can be tricky to define, and different health boards | :19:32. | :19:35.
have different panels making those decisions and the concern is they | :19:36. | :19:37.
might be reaching different conclusions. As this issue been | :19:38. | :19:44.
looked into? The cross-party health committee at the Assembly suggested | :19:45. | :19:47.
a few years ago perhaps there should be a single panel for Wales. The | :19:48. | :19:53.
Welsh government had a review of the process subsequently. New guidelines | :19:54. | :19:57.
are on the way. One changes, if there is a critical mass of similar | :19:58. | :20:01.
requests across Wales, perhaps they should be a more consistent | :20:02. | :20:06.
decision-making process. And what are the parties saying about this? A | :20:07. | :20:11.
lot of parties talk about finding new drugs but the Lib Dems say they | :20:12. | :20:15.
should be a symbol panel, so do Plaid Cymru, who say it should be | :20:16. | :20:21.
judged on the benefits for patients, not exception allergy. Labour want | :20:22. | :20:24.
to get the best access for new drugs that are proven to work, the | :20:25. | :20:30.
Conservatives promising millions for clinical trials and new drugs and | :20:31. | :20:34.
Ukip say that if you have the opportunity to elect health boards, | :20:35. | :20:38.
that makes them more accountable. Thank you very much. | :20:39. | :20:40.
And if you'd like to be a part of My Manifesto 2016, | :20:41. | :20:43.
tell me what you would do if you were First Minister. | :20:44. | :20:46.
So that's it from us in Cardiff city centre. | :20:47. | :21:07.
It's certainly not quieting down here as audience members | :21:08. | :21:11.
are arriving for the last live party leaders' television debate ahead | :21:12. | :21:14.
You can see it all here on BBC One Wales at 8:30pm and we'll | :21:15. | :21:20.
have all the reaction after the BBC News at 10pm. | :21:21. | :21:22.
Tomorrow our tour of Wales reaches Merthyr College. | :21:23. | :21:24.
Join us if you can at 1:30pm and 6:30pm. | :21:25. | :21:28.
Now, 100 days before the start of the Olympic Games, the Director | :21:29. | :21:35.
of Elite Sports Performance in Wales says there will be fewer Welsh | :21:36. | :21:39.
athletes in Rio this summer compared to the representation in London. | :21:40. | :21:43.
30 from Wales were part of Team GB four years ago. | :21:44. | :21:47.
But Brian Davies believes those in the team now will have a genuine | :21:48. | :21:51.
chance of returning with a medal, as Iwan Griffiths reports. | :21:52. | :22:00.
With 100 days to go, a Welsh Olympic class of 2016 is starting to emerge. | :22:01. | :22:09.
So far, sailor Hannah Mills has secured her place. Elena Allen is | :22:10. | :22:13.
part of the shooting team. Joe Gaudino will be the only Welsh boxer | :22:14. | :22:19.
on the plane. Non Stanford and Helen Jenkins both aim to claim triathlon | :22:20. | :22:24.
gold this summer. Four swimmers, Jaz Carlin, Georgia Davies, Ian Lloyd | :22:25. | :22:30.
Hughes also claim their places. And having lost out on the 2012 | :22:31. | :22:36.
Olympics, for experienced athlete Jaz Carlin, making Team GB was an | :22:37. | :22:42.
emotional moment. That 25-year-old who finally secured her place | :22:43. | :22:45.
earlier this month has been striking the official Olympic commemorative | :22:46. | :22:51.
coin. It is all a bit surreal. I think I still have my head in the | :22:52. | :22:56.
clouds so it has not sunk in but it is an incredible feeling and I can't | :22:57. | :23:01.
wait for the next few months. Originally from North Wales, Natalie | :23:02. | :23:05.
Powell is on the cusp of making the team but she still needs to gain | :23:06. | :23:08.
crucial points to seal her place. There are three competitions left in | :23:09. | :23:14.
the qualification period so I have got to concentrate on them and put | :23:15. | :23:18.
in a performance. If I perform my best in all three, I will be on the | :23:19. | :23:23.
plane. What would a place in Rio mean to you? It would mean | :23:24. | :23:28.
everything. Everything I have done over the last four years has been | :23:29. | :23:31.
aimed towards that. I would be very, very happy. 30 athletes from Wales | :23:32. | :23:38.
were part of the team in London, contributing seven medals. With nine | :23:39. | :23:43.
confirmed, is the aim to beat that record in Rio? We will not get 30. | :23:44. | :23:50.
London was a special case because it was a home games. Everyone going to | :23:51. | :23:54.
Rio has had to learn that place through a quota system. The next | :23:55. | :23:58.
announcement will be the rowing team, due on the 9th of June. With | :23:59. | :24:04.
the likes of Victoria Thornley and Chris Barkley set to get the nod. As | :24:05. | :24:09.
Wales at more names and faces to the Olympic list. | :24:10. | :24:11.
Glamorgan's County Championship match against Derbyshire has ended | :24:12. | :24:13.
in a draw after more weather delays today. | :24:14. | :24:15.
Glamorgan ended on 87-2 in their second innings | :24:16. | :24:17.
after bowling Derbyshire out this morning for 345. | :24:18. | :24:22.
Time for a look at the weather now with Derek. | :24:23. | :24:24.
It feels more like winter than spring at the moment. | :24:25. | :24:31.
The air over us has come from the Arctic so it's cold | :24:32. | :24:33.
and unstable with towering cumulonimbus clouds, | :24:34. | :24:36.
There's been more hail in places today. | :24:37. | :24:40.
Hail the size of peas in Newtown and snow in places too. | :24:41. | :24:43.
A dusting of snow on the hills above Church Village. | :24:44. | :24:45.
In fact, snow is more common at Easter than Christmas, | :24:46. | :24:50.
We've even had snow in May and, dare I say, in 1975, | :24:51. | :24:55.
This evening will be the best part of the day. | :24:56. | :25:01.
Temperatures inland falling as low as minus 3 Celsius in some rural | :25:02. | :25:11.
So here's the picture for 8:00am in the morning. | :25:12. | :25:17.
Parts of the south bright with sunshine. | :25:18. | :25:21.
A few showers in mid and north Wales. | :25:22. | :25:27.
Like today, these wintry in places with snow. | :25:28. | :25:31.
Later in the morning, the showers will clear. | :25:32. | :25:34.
Dry and bright for a while but during the afternoon it will cloud | :25:35. | :25:39.
The wind picking up as well with top temperatures between | :25:40. | :25:47.
Tomorrow, the evening breezy with outbreaks of rain. | :25:48. | :25:52.
Turning drier and clearer overnight but with a few showers in mid | :25:53. | :25:55.
On Thursday night and Friday, low pressure will move | :25:56. | :26:00.
across the UK, bringing some rain and showers. | :26:01. | :26:04.
Snow in parts of the north and stronger winds as well. | :26:05. | :26:07.
Friday will be chilly and breezy with scattered showers. | :26:08. | :26:11.
Some dry weather and sunshine as well. | :26:12. | :26:15.
Temperatures below average for late April. | :26:16. | :26:18.
As for the bank holiday weekend, in a word, changeable. | :26:19. | :26:20.
Saturday will be the driest day with some sunshine and one | :26:21. | :26:24.
Sunday will start dry but with rain on the way. | :26:25. | :26:28.
The wind increasing as well and turning milder. | :26:29. | :26:31.
Monday windy with rain clearing to showers and some sunshine. | :26:32. | :26:39.
I'll have a quick update at 8pm and a full round up after the BBC | :26:40. | :26:43.
News at 10pm with all the analysis of tonight's leaders' debate. | :26:44. | :26:47.
For now though, from everyone on the programme, good evening. | :26:48. | :26:52. |
