those temperatures in the low 20s. That's all from | :00:00. | :00:00.
Welcome to Wales Today from the Royal Welsh Show. | :00:00. | :00:00.
Tonight, one of China's biggest buyers of fine foods tells this | :00:00. | :00:10.
programme Wales has much work to do when it comes to selling our goods | :00:11. | :00:13.
If we could obtain some better conditions between countries, | :00:14. | :00:20.
And broadband companies are under fire for their poor speed. | :00:21. | :00:29.
Everyone should have the legal right to good internet access. | :00:30. | :00:31.
The call tonight from a rural pressure group. | :00:32. | :00:57.
Police continue to investigate the murder of a young mother | :00:58. | :00:59.
We'll have the latest from Penygroes. | :01:00. | :01:07.
Pontypridd MP Owen Smith is the only candidate to challenge Jeremy Corbyn | :01:08. | :01:11.
for the Labour leadership. Decades ago they were a familiar | :01:12. | :01:17.
sight in our communities - the warning now that a fall | :01:18. | :01:19.
in district nurses is putting And it's been the hottest July day | :01:20. | :01:22.
in Wales for ten years - 32 in places - but there's | :01:23. | :01:29.
change on the way. This is the shop window of all that | :01:30. | :01:39.
rural Wales has to offer. Behind me, trade stands selling | :01:40. | :01:50.
everything from bread to tractors. But tonight one of China's biggest | :01:51. | :01:52.
fine food buyers visiting the show has told this programme Wales needs | :01:53. | :01:55.
to do much more to raise its profile and be more successful | :01:56. | :01:59.
in exporting goods to the world. As Britain prepares to leave | :02:00. | :02:01.
the European Union, the pressure to find new untapped markets | :02:02. | :02:03.
for Wales becomes A taste of Wales in the food hall at | :02:04. | :02:31.
the Royal Welsh Show. We have started exporting to China, Hong | :02:32. | :02:35.
Kong, the US. We have dabbled with the Middle East as well. To her knee | :02:36. | :02:42.
and cheeses and ice cream and even bottled water, the show is not just | :02:43. | :02:45.
a chance to sell to those here but a chance to do business. Wales is | :02:46. | :02:50.
still largely unknown over seas according to this importer. Building | :02:51. | :03:01.
brand Wales is key. We still need to understand each other, not only the | :03:02. | :03:05.
products, but also commercial things and the culture. If we could obtain | :03:06. | :03:10.
better conditions between two countries, that would be much, much | :03:11. | :03:17.
better. This organic milk is it -- already exported to China and they | :03:18. | :03:20.
hope that raising the profile internationally will boost trade for | :03:21. | :03:24.
all Welsh businesses. Wales having done well in the football has made | :03:25. | :03:28.
the general awareness of Wales of a higher profile but we need to | :03:29. | :03:33.
understand how green and fresh and different Wales is to China. And | :03:34. | :03:43.
then he is able to go and show off a product from Wales. The value of | :03:44. | :03:49.
Wales' exports has jumped to ?7.2 billion last year. It is not just | :03:50. | :03:54.
food and link up the Royal Welsh Show that are looking to export. | :03:55. | :03:57.
There are all sorts of products looking to sell all over the world | :03:58. | :04:01.
and they say the sky 's the limit. The main market remains the UK but | :04:02. | :04:08.
the percentage of exports has been expanding quickly. We are exporting | :04:09. | :04:12.
more than 30% of our product range. And in due course, it could be over | :04:13. | :04:18.
half of our output goes overseas. The First Minister was at the show | :04:19. | :04:21.
today talking trade. He says despite the huge potential of global | :04:22. | :04:25.
markets, securing access to the European market is the priority for | :04:26. | :04:30.
the Welsh Government. The bottom line has to be that when Brexit | :04:31. | :04:33.
happens are exporters can have access to that European market | :04:34. | :04:37.
without having to pay extra to get into it. But to achieve that, it | :04:38. | :04:42.
might well be that the UK Government has to also accept free movement of | :04:43. | :04:45.
labour which could be a stumbling block. At such an uncertain time, | :04:46. | :04:51.
the need to find new ways to grow the Welsh economy for the future is | :04:52. | :04:52.
more important than ever. For businesses to compete | :04:53. | :04:55.
on the global stage, it's vital they can connect | :04:56. | :04:57.
with countries around the world. If you come here you will find | :04:58. | :05:00.
a strong mobile signal Its installed especially | :05:01. | :05:02.
for the quarter of a million visitors to the show | :05:03. | :05:05.
across the week. But elsewhere in other | :05:06. | :05:07.
parts of rural Wales, you will struggle to get a mobile | :05:08. | :05:09.
signal or good internet access. Today, a call for everyone | :05:10. | :05:12.
to have a legal right The Country Land Association says | :05:13. | :05:14.
in a modern economy it's key to business' success and have | :05:15. | :05:18.
challenged BT on its record Here's our economics correspondent, | :05:19. | :05:20.
Sarah Dickins. Water, everyone gets it piped to the | :05:21. | :05:43.
house, it is seen as vital. The country land Association says that | :05:44. | :05:46.
is how fast broadband should now be seen, essential to life and | :05:47. | :05:50.
business. It is pleased the UK Government is bringing in a bill | :05:51. | :05:54.
placing requirements on BT. Does that mean people would have a legal | :05:55. | :05:58.
right to good Lord band? That is absolutely what we are calling for. | :05:59. | :06:03.
We want to make sure it is not water down and it is what people can | :06:04. | :06:06.
expect that the end of it. And it is available to them. Many rural | :06:07. | :06:13.
businesses say they need fast broadband for them to compete and | :06:14. | :06:18.
create more, better paid work. A greater proportion of people are | :06:19. | :06:22.
working in rural Wales and Wales as a whole but the money they bring | :06:23. | :06:26.
back is less. ?300 a month less on average. And it is not because they | :06:27. | :06:30.
don't have the skills. If you look at the proportion of people with | :06:31. | :06:32.
degrees, there is a higher proportion of people with Greece in | :06:33. | :06:37.
Powys and Wales as a whole. The argument is that poor broadband is | :06:38. | :06:41.
holding back the rural economy. The key is confident it can deliver. The | :06:42. | :06:48.
great news for Wales is 87% of homes and businesses candidate get fast | :06:49. | :06:56.
fibre broadband. If it is not connected directly to their | :06:57. | :06:59.
property, there is a good chance that it will be over the next 12 | :07:00. | :07:03.
months. The build continues. We have 12 months to deliver that. It is not | :07:04. | :07:08.
just children that live their lives online. It has become part of | :07:09. | :07:12.
everyday life but in many areas of Wales, service is poor. When we hear | :07:13. | :07:17.
from the lady director of BT that lovely little places are connected, | :07:18. | :07:26.
I cannot believe it. We are not just picking apples out in the | :07:27. | :07:28.
countryside. We run a compensated business. A recycling business, all | :07:29. | :07:33.
of our communications with Welsh Government and our customers, | :07:34. | :07:38.
suppliers, they are all online -- a complicated business. There is | :07:39. | :07:43.
nothing we don't do online. While the Royal Welsh Show loves to | :07:44. | :07:47.
celebrate traditions, people here also recognise a new economy needs | :07:48. | :07:50.
to develop and fast broadband is central to that. The hope is that | :07:51. | :07:55.
broadband and mobile reception is significantly improved, communities | :07:56. | :07:55.
will notice the benefit. Sarah, we have been hearing from the | :07:56. | :08:06.
economy minister and his suggestions of closer links between rural Wales | :08:07. | :08:12.
and the Midlands. Yes, as well as emphasising the Digital economy, he | :08:13. | :08:14.
says there are practical things we could do to increase the market. We | :08:15. | :08:25.
have already known that Bristol and Newport and Cardiff have been | :08:26. | :08:27.
working together to have an economic region that spans the political | :08:28. | :08:33.
border and the Mersey Alliance does that in the north. That is gong to | :08:34. | :08:36.
be encouraged. What he is saying is that there is a lot of business that | :08:37. | :08:39.
could be done in the West Midlands of England and if we think of the | :08:40. | :08:45.
economy moving East West, there are benefits there. We have heard | :08:46. | :08:50.
concerns in the farming community about Britain leaving the European | :08:51. | :08:53.
Union and what that meant for agriculture but today, some positive | :08:54. | :08:57.
noises about wrecks it. I have been speaking to lots of people from all | :08:58. | :09:02.
walks of this land, if you like. And what they say is that there are | :09:03. | :09:06.
opportunities. We have a slate now on which we can decide things for | :09:07. | :09:10.
Wales. Map out the vision for our economy that we want and one of the | :09:11. | :09:13.
interesting thing is that they have pointed out is that now they argue | :09:14. | :09:19.
it would be possible to say that all public sector in Wales, NHS, Army, | :09:20. | :09:26.
education, have to buy Welsh products by local, that would make a | :09:27. | :09:28.
real difference to our economy. More from the Royal Welsh Show | :09:29. | :09:31.
later, including Derek's weather forecast, on what has been | :09:32. | :09:33.
the hottest day of the year so far. First the rest of the day's | :09:34. | :09:37.
news with Nicola Smith. Pontypridd MP Owen Smith is now the | :09:38. | :09:52.
only candidate to challenge Jeremy Corbyn for the leadership of the | :09:53. | :09:57.
Labour Party. Angela Eagle has withdrawn from the race. | :09:58. | :10:02.
I will take Jeremy on on the issues and on the policies. | :10:03. | :10:04.
I think I have got ideas that can turn some of the | :10:05. | :10:07.
slogans we have had in recent years into solutions. | :10:08. | :10:10.
Solutions that would lead to better material improvement | :10:11. | :10:11.
We are about helping people get on, all people in | :10:12. | :10:16.
this country and we have got to be seen as that once more and undermine | :10:17. | :10:20.
Let's speak to our Parliamentary Correspondent David Cornock who's | :10:21. | :10:26.
Can he win? Owen Smith is very confident he can and will win the | :10:27. | :10:37.
Labour leadership. He is now the overwhelming choice to take on | :10:38. | :10:41.
Jeremy Corbyn and to take that job. You look at the breath of his | :10:42. | :10:45.
support at Westminster, former Labour leader Ed Miliband is backing | :10:46. | :10:50.
him, Margaret Beckett, more than half the Welsh Labour MPs. Important | :10:51. | :10:55.
but of course not enough because it is Labour Party members who will | :10:56. | :10:59.
decide who leads the party and last year they voted overwhelmingly for | :11:00. | :11:03.
Jeremy Corbyn so it is not going to be easy. He knows he faces an uphill | :11:04. | :11:08.
task in trying to oust someone who got the 60% of the vote last year. | :11:09. | :11:13.
But Owen Smith believes he is fizzing with ideas and energy and | :11:14. | :11:20.
that he has the ability to really turn what Jeremy Corbyn 's | :11:21. | :11:25.
principles are into as he sees it power, to make Labour more ready for | :11:26. | :11:31.
government. He believes that he can be as radical as Jeremy Corbyn but | :11:32. | :11:36.
he is the more effective, the more credible leader, the more effective | :11:37. | :11:43.
it and credible potential Prime Minister. What happens now? Well, | :11:44. | :11:47.
there will be a two-month leadership campaign. You will see Labour Party | :11:48. | :11:50.
hustings up and down the country with Owen Smith taking on Jeremy | :11:51. | :11:54.
Corbyn. Fair to say that many Labour members outside Wales do not know | :11:55. | :12:00.
Owen Smith at well. And that could be an advantage, it could be a | :12:01. | :12:02.
disadvantage. He's putting himself forward as the freshfaced, the new | :12:03. | :12:10.
generation of MPs. But it will be a competent of contest. I was talking | :12:11. | :12:13.
to a cabinet minister a short time ago who said it could get very nasty | :12:14. | :12:18.
but clearly Owen Smith, the MP for Pontypridd, is up for the fight. | :12:19. | :12:26.
A murder investigation is continuing after a woman's body was found | :12:27. | :12:29.
Emma Louise Borm, from Penygroes, was found in the garden | :12:30. | :12:32.
Witnesses have described hearing screams in the hours | :12:33. | :12:35.
The search for clues has extended beyond the small terraced house | :12:36. | :12:40.
where Emma Louise Baum lived with her two-year-old son | :12:41. | :12:43.
to the surrounding streets and even the drains. | :12:44. | :12:44.
It was in the early hours of a warm Sunday morning that one which must | :12:45. | :12:49.
who did not want to be identified told me he heard a woman | :12:50. | :12:52.
screaming and shouting stop, please, and sorry from | :12:53. | :12:54.
He rang 999 at about 4am, even describing hearing footsteps | :12:55. | :13:03.
But when he woke up later that morning, he learned | :13:04. | :13:07.
This quiet street is still absorbing the full horror of what happened. | :13:08. | :13:11.
It is quite shocking because we are a close community | :13:12. | :13:14.
and everyone perceives that things happen in big cities where people | :13:15. | :13:16.
are found like this and we are just thinking of the family. | :13:17. | :13:21.
It is just a close-knit community and virtually everybody knows | :13:22. | :13:23.
And as I say, everybody helps each other out, | :13:24. | :13:27.
Two men who were being questioned in connection | :13:28. | :13:34.
with the murder have both now been released without charge. | :13:35. | :13:37.
This afternoon, a postmortem examination has been carried out. | :13:38. | :13:39.
North Wales Police said they sent officers to investigate a possible | :13:40. | :13:41.
disturbance in the early hours of yesterday but did not | :13:42. | :13:44.
As is customary in such cases, the matter has been referred | :13:45. | :13:47.
to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. | :13:48. | :13:49.
On social media, those who knew Emma Louise Baum have been offering | :13:50. | :13:52.
each other condolences and sharing memories of the last | :13:53. | :13:54.
There are still many unanswered questions for family and friends. | :13:55. | :13:57.
Some of whom have told us that they are too raw to speak | :13:58. | :14:00.
to the media today but they have all paid tribute to a popular young | :14:01. | :14:04.
woman who was a loving mother to her small son. | :14:05. | :14:19.
Police are investigating a break-in at a wind farm in Rhymney, | :14:20. | :14:22.
in which around ?10,000 worth of fibre optic cable was stolen. | :14:23. | :14:25.
Officers are looking for a man, seen here on CCTV, driving a black | :14:26. | :14:28.
The break-in happened at around 4 am on Wednesday the 1st of June, | :14:29. | :14:32.
A new Day Ticket has been launched, allowing unlimited bus | :14:33. | :14:41.
The Travel Cymru ticket means passengers will be able to travel | :14:42. | :14:44.
on any long distance bus journey, on the TrawsCymru network. | :14:45. | :14:47.
It aims to facilitate more hop-on, hop-off travel across the country | :14:48. | :14:49.
to encourage tourism and to boost local economies. | :14:50. | :14:59.
Motorists using Flintshire's main town centre car parks will have | :15:00. | :15:01.
to continue paying to park, after a year long pilot scheme. | :15:02. | :15:04.
The council hopes permanent charges will raise around ?438,000 over | :15:05. | :15:06.
District nurses have played an important role | :15:07. | :15:17.
in caring for patients in their own home for decades. | :15:18. | :15:20.
But there's concern tonight that a big drop in the number | :15:21. | :15:22.
of district nurses here, is contributing to the pressure | :15:23. | :15:24.
on emergency departments and GP surgeries. | :15:25. | :15:26.
The Royal College of Nursing has told this programme that 42% fewer | :15:27. | :15:29.
district nurses could also be contributing to | :15:30. | :15:30.
Some of district nurses' job haven't changed though. | :15:31. | :15:50.
Cath is visiting Sandra, as she recovers | :15:51. | :15:53.
For years, there's been a push for more treatment at home, | :15:54. | :16:00.
District nurses - part of team that achieves it. | :16:01. | :16:16.
The nurses on the ward tend to be more specialist. Out in the | :16:17. | :16:24.
district, we have a range of all care. We need to be specialist in | :16:25. | :16:33.
all different could type of care. These nurses is that one beyond. Any | :16:34. | :16:40.
question I ask them, I'm out of ten, even ten out of ten, they know the | :16:41. | :16:45.
answer. We do need it. I think I would have given up ages ago if I | :16:46. | :16:47.
did not have these, to be honest. But the number of district | :16:48. | :16:49.
nurses like Cath has The Welsh Government says it's | :16:50. | :16:51.
because district nurses are now used to lead and advise other, larger | :16:52. | :17:00.
teams and community health workers. But the union representing | :17:01. | :17:03.
nurses is concerned. If you were to speak to any general | :17:04. | :17:16.
practitioner, you will know that AGP is dependent on nurse sometimes | :17:17. | :17:21.
going out to their home, which then does not necessitate them having to | :17:22. | :17:24.
wait so long for a GP appointment. So the really action in district | :17:25. | :17:28.
nurses, you think, could be having an impact on waiting lists at GP | :17:29. | :17:34.
surgeries, emergency departments? It is concluded into some of that? | :17:35. | :17:37.
Undoubtedly and also maybe readmission rates. | :17:38. | :17:41.
there are more nurses working across the NHS in Wales, | :17:42. | :17:45.
The Royal College of Nurses wants a committment to training | :17:46. | :17:51.
It says it will ensure those with complex needs are looked | :17:52. | :17:57.
after by someone highly experienced, to avoid putting patients at risk. | :17:58. | :17:59.
Some sport news now and four welsh rugby players have been included | :18:00. | :18:02.
in Team GB's Sevens squads for the Rio Olympics next month. | :18:03. | :18:05.
Scarlets flanker James Davies and Sam Cross from Newport | :18:06. | :18:07.
will travel to the games, along with reserve Luke Treharne. | :18:08. | :18:09.
Jasmine Joyce is the only Welsh player to make the women's line up. | :18:10. | :18:18.
Football, and the New Saints are playing Apoel Nicosia | :18:19. | :18:20.
in the Champions League second qualifying round second leg. | :18:21. | :18:23.
Saints held the Cypriot champions to a goalless draw in the first leg | :18:24. | :18:26.
Cricket, and Glamorgan's hopes of a first County Championship win | :18:27. | :18:34.
of the season hanging in the balance. | :18:35. | :18:35.
They're playing Derbyshire on day three at Colwyn Bay. | :18:36. | :18:45.
Now back to Jamie at the Royal Welsh Show. | :18:46. | :18:51.
One of those who came through the turnstiles | :18:52. | :18:56.
Christianne Glossp was here earlier and said that Wales | :18:57. | :19:04.
is at a high risk of an outbreak of blue tongue disease. | :19:05. | :19:07.
She has called on farmers to only import animals | :19:08. | :19:09.
It follows a number of suspected cases of the disease which is spread | :19:10. | :19:13.
by blood-sucking midges, all of which have been | :19:14. | :19:15.
We all want clean rivers, but dairy farms will go bust if even | :19:16. | :19:29.
tougher rules on storing and spreading fertilizer | :19:30. | :19:31.
That's the stark warning tonight from farming unions. | :19:32. | :19:35.
They've called on the Welsh Government to be clear | :19:36. | :19:37.
about whether it plans to introduce more so-called | :19:38. | :19:39.
Nitrate Vulnerable Zones - designed to tackle | :19:40. | :19:40.
agricultural pollution going into stream and rivers. | :19:41. | :19:42.
Our environment correspondent, Steffan Messenger reports. | :19:43. | :20:00.
It has been a bleak few years on Broadmoar Farm. | :20:01. | :20:03.
Hit by TB and falling milk prices, Eleanor and Geoffrey Evans say | :20:04. | :20:06.
Now the threat of tougher rules around how they store their slurry | :20:07. | :20:13.
This is one of two pits we have currently and we are able to store | :20:14. | :20:22.
What we are talking about is having to store slurry for five months. | :20:23. | :20:26.
It means a big cost implication to have the space. | :20:27. | :20:29.
It is a massive change for our business, to be able | :20:30. | :20:31.
to invest about 100,000 in a new slurry system is not | :20:32. | :20:34.
Even if we spend all the money on large slurry stores, | :20:35. | :20:42.
will the environment be better off at the end of it? | :20:43. | :20:45.
And we want more scientific evidence to prove that the end results | :20:46. | :20:47.
They are waiting to hear whether the Welsh Government | :20:48. | :20:52.
will include the land they farm near Wolfs Castle in Pembrokeshire | :20:53. | :20:55.
on a new map of so-called nitrate vulnerable zones. | :20:56. | :20:57.
Less than 3% of Wales is affected at the moment. | :20:58. | :21:00.
Farmers in those areas faced tougher restrictions on the use | :21:01. | :21:02.
of fertiliser to try and protect water quality in nearby | :21:03. | :21:04.
The reason we have got NVZs is because there is evidence | :21:05. | :21:17.
in certain watercourses and that can mean ground waters | :21:18. | :21:19.
as well as surface water, so rivers and streams as well, | :21:20. | :21:22.
evidence that there is pollution from nitrates. | :21:23. | :21:24.
So we have got these zones in place to try and improve water quality. | :21:25. | :21:27.
New designations are under consideration across Pembrokeshire, | :21:28. | :21:29.
parts of Carmarthenshire and Anglesey. | :21:30. | :21:30.
They could include half of Wales' potato crop | :21:31. | :21:32.
and a quarter of the land used for milk production. | :21:33. | :21:34.
A Welsh Government consultation has been put off several times. | :21:35. | :21:37.
And farming unions say lack of information is | :21:38. | :21:38.
The fact that there has been various different dates given | :21:39. | :21:52.
for consultation to be issued, people have been waiting to see | :21:53. | :21:55.
what is going to happen and unfortunately, that | :21:56. | :21:56.
consultation has been delayed on a number of occasions. | :21:57. | :22:05.
People are now saying, what is going to happen, | :22:06. | :22:07.
if we are going to do developments on the farm, what do | :22:08. | :22:10.
The Welsh Government's Rural Affairs Secretary, Lesley Griffiths, | :22:11. | :22:13.
told BBC Wales she was committed to carrying out consultation and it | :22:14. | :22:16.
Environmental groups say NVZs are an essential part of maintaining | :22:17. | :22:20.
water quality and wildlife in rivers and lakes. | :22:21. | :22:22.
Farmers like Eleanor and Geoffrey argue they work with | :22:23. | :22:24.
the environment, not against it and they are | :22:25. | :22:26.
Record breaking temperatures here at the Royal Welsh Show today. | :22:27. | :22:41.
Derek is sensibly cooling down by the pond. | :22:42. | :22:46.
Jamie, it is a bit cooler down here, but still very high. | :22:47. | :22:49.
And it's the same across the country. | :22:50. | :22:52.
Wales has been experiencing the hottest day of the year so far | :22:53. | :22:55.
with temperatures soaring to 32 in some places. | :22:56. | :23:13.
No complaints about the outlook here. A weaker pound and instability | :23:14. | :23:21.
overseas are all helping tourism. The hot weather is just the icing on | :23:22. | :23:25.
the cake. I think the difference it does make for us is the day visitor. | :23:26. | :23:31.
People coming for that short break, at the last minute, they want to | :23:32. | :23:34.
come away and say let's have a night away. That is where it makes the | :23:35. | :23:39.
difference. With schools out, Wales is looking the perfect choice for a | :23:40. | :23:44.
family holiday. For now, at least. I definitely don't need to go abroad. | :23:45. | :23:50.
It is lovely on the beach. With this weather, it is a ten. But we have | :23:51. | :23:54.
seen the weather for the coming days and then it will be a little bit | :23:55. | :24:00.
more rainy. Spare a thought for those working. There is still an | :24:01. | :24:04.
appetite for fish and chips disc type the heat. It is hot. There is | :24:05. | :24:16.
no air conditioning. Keep cool and Drinkwater, that is the Public | :24:17. | :24:19.
health message and it one in most two. At the Royal Welsh Show, it was | :24:20. | :24:27.
not only the crowd seeding to cool down. Across Wales, temperatures | :24:28. | :24:31.
have soared from 31 Celsius in Barry Island to around 30 Celsius in | :24:32. | :24:40.
Conwy. It is the hottest July day we have had in ten years. With | :24:41. | :24:45.
temperatures up towards 30 degrees, there is no point sweltering on the | :24:46. | :24:49.
beach. The best place to be is out at sea and what better mode of | :24:50. | :24:53.
transport than this? The UK's first passenger amphibious vehicle. It is | :24:54. | :24:59.
very James Bond. They have only been in business a few weeks and are | :25:00. | :25:04.
causing quite a splash. We do not have to wait for the tide to be in. | :25:05. | :25:10.
We can launch from any beach where we have permission and we can drive | :25:11. | :25:17.
into the sea at any stage. That also means we can arrive at places that | :25:18. | :25:21.
other boats can't easily get to. Even though this mini heatwave is | :25:22. | :25:25.
not set to last, it is official, summer has arrived. | :25:26. | :25:28.
So today has been has been the hottest July day | :25:29. | :25:30.
30 Celsius here in Llanelwedd, thankfully with a breeze. | :25:31. | :25:33.
32 in Monmouth, Cardiff and Porthmadog. | :25:34. | :25:37.
A little too hot for some people, but the hot weather is not | :25:38. | :25:40.
Temperatures will be lower tomorrow and it will be fresher | :25:41. | :25:43.
So if you're coming to the show tomorrow. | :25:44. | :25:48.
It will be cloudier than today but dry. | :25:49. | :25:50.
Temperatures a more bearable 23 Celsius in the afternoon, | :25:51. | :25:53.
This evening a sunny start, but cloud will spread | :25:54. | :25:56.
Most places dry but scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms | :25:57. | :26:00.
These maybe heavy in places in the north. | :26:01. | :26:04.
And you may have trouble sleeping tonight. | :26:05. | :26:08.
Temperatures not falling much, with lows between 17 and 21 Celsius. | :26:09. | :26:20.
Tomorrow's chart shows a trough of low pressure | :26:21. | :26:22.
Behind it cooler air and as this hits the hot and humid air over us | :26:23. | :26:27.
There is a Met Office warning of thunderstorms in force | :26:28. | :26:30.
Not everywhere will have them but where they do occur | :26:31. | :26:35.
they could be severe with hail, gusty winds | :26:36. | :26:36.
Perhaps some heavy thunderstorms in the north at first. | :26:37. | :26:46.
More cloud than today but still some sunshine, | :26:47. | :26:49.
Temperatures lower than today but still warm and muggy, | :26:50. | :26:53.
Although it will turn fresher from the west later in the day | :26:54. | :27:05.
Tomorrow night dry with a mixture of broken cloud and clear spells. | :27:06. | :27:08.
Lowest temperatures 13 to 16 Celsius. | :27:09. | :27:10.
Thursday a cooler, fresher day but dry with some | :27:11. | :27:13.
As for the outlook, Friday some dry weather and sunshine | :27:14. | :27:19.
So after the hottest July day for 10 years. | :27:20. | :27:25.
Tomorrow less hot with a few scattered showers | :27:26. | :27:29.
We'll have an update for you here at 8 o'clock and again | :27:30. | :27:42.
