The father of Wales footballer Gareth Bale's fiancee has

in the last hour been sentenced to six years in prison by a court

in the United States - after admitting money laundering

Martin Rhys-Jones, who's from Cardiff,

It's thought 52-year-old Martin Rhys-Jones moved

from the Welsh capital to Spain back in 2005, from where he set

about conning hundreds of investors into buying worthless shares

Rhys-Jones operated the scam from the Spanish city of Barcelona.

An illegal telemarketing operation was used to convince investors

in the UK and Canada to buy the shares.

Around 250 people lost money altogether with the amounts ranging

sure absolutely that social services are involved

and that there are methods to ensure that these

children become aware that their actions

have consequences. At the moment the UK Government has

no plans to alter the age of criminal responsibility,

and Wales has no power to do so. Proposals to devolve youth

justice were made in 2014, but they weren't supported by

the UK Government and didn't make it into the Wales Bill

on further devolution, which is currently making
