Macro it is nothing like as cold as it was last night. Sunny spells

through the day today but the cloud has been gathering in the West. Now

bringing outbreaks of rain in the south-west. Gusts along the south

coast of 50 or 60 mph. Heavy showers this evening across

Northern Ireland, spreading across Scotland. As the skies clear in

Northern Ireland, it will turn quite chilly. For most places,

nothing like as cold as last night, thanks to that cloud, wind and rain.

It will still be around tomorrow morning but winds will steadily

ease. There will still be a few showers. Early on in the day it is

looking down. Ferry blustery in the south-east for the rush hour. The

wind will chase the rain away in eastern areas and for many it will

brighten up nicely. Always staying cloudy in the south and the rain is

set to return later on. Further north, there will be plenty of

showers. Not as windy as today but still a mixture of sunshine and

showers across western Scotland. Mostly sunny across eastern

Scotland. A damp start. A breezy day. Not too many showers east of

the Pennines. Generally clad in dry in the South -- cloudy and dried.

The rain is set to return across South Wales and south-west England.

Another dose of heavy rain tomorrow night. A wet night again across the

South went into the early hours of Saturday morning. For Saturday, it

does look as if that rain will clear. Haps lingering in the

Channel Islands. Threatening the south coast. For many, Saturday

should be a sparkling day of sunshine. After a chilly start,

temperatures getting up to the mid- teens. Fine on Saturday, thanks to

this area of high pressure. This area of low-pressure will gather

down to the south-west. More rain to come on Sunday. Gradually

spreading across other areas in the day. For many, Sunday looks dry and
