Good evening, I'm Jenny Kirk.

A 17-year-old boy has died and another has life threatening

injuries after a crash in Leigh on Sea in the early

hours of this morning.

Essex Police say the car they were in was being followed

by a marked police car at the time.

Flowers left at the scene of the crash.

And tonight, a candle also burns.

This is the junction of Southsea Avenue and Glendale Gardens,

which was cordoned off for some time in the early hours as a specialist

police team tried to piece together what had happened.

There was a breakdown vehicle, four police cars, and at least

eight police people.

They had cones and markers, you know, measuring.

And they're going house-to-house to ask people what they'd heard

or seen, or not heard.

Police say one of their marked vehicles had been following a

maroon Ford Escort which had failed to stop.

It reached this spot and collided with a silver BMW.

The 17-year-old who died was in the Escort.

Another teenager in the car the same age was critically hurt.

Two other teenagers had minor injuries and were arrested.

One on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and possessing

class A drugs with intent to supply, the other on suspicion

of possessing a class C drug.

Well, tonight, this remains very much an ongoing

investigation for Essex Police.

Members of their traffic unitare here, and they've been joined

by members of the Force's major investigation team,

who are knocking on doors to help gather potential evidence.

The case is being monitored by the Independent Police

Complaints Commission, which said in a statement...

We've heard tonight that a woman in her 80s been found dead in a flat

fire in the Semilong area of Northampton.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

And two other women have died today in separate road crashes in Suffolk.

On Thwaite Road in Thorndon, a woman in her 20s was found

critically injured near her car, which was in a ditch.

And in Great Bradley, a pedestrian was hit

by a car on the B10-61.

She died at the scene.

The Air Ambulance attended both incidents.

Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on a report that

the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge could move away from Norfolk.

Prince William and Kate moved into Anmer Hall last Spring.

This year, the Duke and Duchess and their young family didn't spend

Christmas Day at Sandringham.

This church service in Berkshire, where they travelled to be

with the Middleton family.

Now, as New Year approaches, reports in the Telegraph today say

the royal couple could move from Anmer Hall, their home for more

than two years in Norfolk.

Anmer Hall is part of the Queen's Sandringham estate.

The Duke and Duchess moved here in May 2015 after the birth

of Princess Charlotte.

In their time here, there's been been major

renovations on their home, and the majority of the costs have

been paid for by private money.

At the Ffolkes Arms nearby, the arrival of the young royals

was a boost for business, they say.

And if they move, they'll be sorry to see them go.

It's disappointing, the fact that they have

been here for so long.

I mean, and the Queen obviously did Anmer Hall for them.

But who knows?

It might be some more royals that move in.

Prince William - a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance,

his two-year contract believed to be ending in the spring.

Prince George has been going to this nursery school close

to the Sandringham estate.

This summer, he'll be four, the royal couple deciding

which school he'll go to next.

For the Duke and Duchess entering another stage in their life,

Buckingham Palace have declined to comment whether Norfolk

will remain their home.

Hello there.

High pressure brought us some fine weather today, but it also means

a cold night for tonight.

With many of us experiencing temperatures down to around

minus two minus or minus four Celsius.

Also some widespread mist and fog patches expected by first

thing tomorrow morning.

And they may well linger through much of tomorrow,

lifting into low-level cloud in places.

Perhaps just the odd glimmer of brightness,

but generally a rather cloudy,

misty, foggy picture through much of the day.

So for some of us, temperatures not expected to get higher than around

three or four Celsius.

In the afternoon, it's going to reform, that mist

and fog, by nightfall.

So it does mean another misty and foggy start

to the day on Thursday.

A lot of it lingering.

Three or four Celsius, our expected high.

The national weather's coming up, but here's the outlook.

And it's going to stay rather cloudy for the rest of the week, and cold.

Slightly milder by Friday, but some frosty nights on the way.
