Good evening and welcome to Look North.

Drivers in Lincolnshire are being urged to take greater care

after one of the worst years for road deaths in a decade.

The county's roads are some of the most dangerous in England,

but until 2016 the numbers of those killed on them had been falling.

Lives lost on Lincolnshire's roads. But this year, there has been more

grief for more families, despite education programmes across the

county. We have all seen the National casualties statistics. For

new and few chip drivers here, 2016 figures will others ample warning.

There has been a significant increase in road traffic deaths.

Early in the year, we saw this coming. We were down on collisions

overall but the number of collisions we have suffered this year was lower

than at any other time but unfortunately that has cut out and

the fatal is have crept up and up. Until now, the number of recent

stress -- efforts in Lincolnshire has been falling but figures from

the 20th of December, it shows this year 59 people had died on

Lincolnshire Road is last year when 38 years -- people lost their lives.

Of the 59 deaths in 2016, 24 have been older drivers aged 60 or more.

A 27-year-old Grimsby man has been arrested on suspicion of raping
