Good evening. A 45`year`old woman's been arrested after an incident

involving a suspected firearm at a Kent caravan park. Police were

called to the Snowdown caravan site near Aylesham at 1:30 this morning.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital ` his injuries aren't

thought to be life threatening. A family business based on Manston

airfield says its future could be in jeopardy if the airport closes this

Thursday. TG Aviation, who run a flying school, say they've already

lost maintenance contracts because of the uncertainty. Yesterday the MP

for North Thanet, Roger Gale, told campaigners he's still hopeful a

buyer can be found. Victoria Holland reports.

When an red Arrow Pirate started TG Aviation, the family thought his

legacy would last for generations. Not only is it a business but it is

an emotional place for us. The family have been wrought up here.

The owners announced that the airport can close. The uncertainty

means that the company has lost aviation contracts and make not be

able to use the runway. It is devastating for the people who run

it and everyone in the area, it will destroy loads of people. There are

13 aircraft in a this hangar. The business has been here for over 30

years. A matter of days that could all change. The owners did not want

to comment today. TG Aviation will need to find new facilities and move

their aircraft out of the hangar by Thursday.

Emergency services were called to a canal in West sussex after a stolen

car went into the water. It happened at about 2am on Saturday. A white

vauxhall van was found in the water near to Albion Street at Southwick.

Shoreham coastguard deployed rescue swimmers but nobody was found in or

near the vehicle. Police say the car was stolen from Hove Railway Station

sometime after eight o'clock on Friday night.

The Dartford crossing will be closed for six hours tonight for an

emergency service training activity. It will be shut northbound between

junction two and junction 31 from 10pm to 4am.

Hundreds of people gathered at Canterbury Cathedral this morning to

mark 20 years since women were first ordained as priests. The General

Synod passed the controversial legislation by a narrow margin in

1992, allowing the first women to be ordained as priests two years later.

I went along to the service. The moment that was a milestone. In

1994, the first women were ordained as priests in the Church of England.

Today, that anniversary is being remembered at Canterbury Cathedral.

Not everyone was celebrating at the time. Celebrations were subdued

then. We were aware that there was a body within the charge that were not

happy with the ordination of women. Today we appeal the whole church is

with us. At the moment, legislation is being considered that could lead

to the first women bishops, but at a national service last week, the

Archbishop Justin Welby told women priests that the Church of England

still had a long way to go. And though many gathered here today

agreed, for them, today has been about recognising just how far

We have had a blustery day today and that will continue into Sunday. This

evening then showers will roll through at a pace. The breeze will

push them along. A blustery night to come. Enter tomorrow morning it is
