Welcome to the Film Review on BBC News. What have we got here? As you

must know, we have Star Trek Into Darkness which is the second we

bridge. The franchise was a reinvented. We have Deadfall which

is a thriller. And we have Mud, which Matthew McConaughey did much

shows he's so much more than just a pretty face. The eastern Czech

movie interest me. -- Star Trek movie. When the director came to

this franchise, he said he did not like it when he was a kid. One of

the things they wanted to do was to keep the fans onboard but also to

bring in a whole new generation of France. They invented is

interesting back story. The halt star Czech history exists but this

is another history. This film, you must turn seen some of the old Star

Trek episodes... I have. They were as little Torquay to me.

less satisfying. But for the most way, Benedict Cumberbatch is

fantastic. He holds the camera brilliantly. He has a great deal of

speaking as about him. You can imagine this would be perfect for

him. He also has to play with your sympathies. It is a question about

imperialism, colonialism, proper schism. While that is going on,

planners have been blown up. You can't manage it thinking, it is

largely surface but what surface? The director knows and make

something look good. He has an infatuation with lens flare. There

is not a single shot in the film that is not drenched with lens

flare. It has been retrofit did into today. You think he does on

your glasses. You have to try a pretty hard not to enjoy yourself.

I think it will work for you. It is a good action maybe bad does not

assume you know all of the back story. That sounds good to me.

Deadfall is a strange concoction. It is a Gothic, a? Thriller. It

starts us with a brother, Eric Bana, and a sister. They have come out of

a drug which has just gone wrong. They are heading towards the

Canadian border. Their headings was a cabinet. They're going towards

great acting. On the course of their escape, all of these weird

plot threads into vine. There is violence, a comedy, shock, and

family. Any movie that features a snare, features a dead bodies and a

female policewoman and think Fargo. There is a poppy, nawab, edge to it.

Eric Bana was very good. It is trashy but he knows why it is

trashy. It is enjoying itself. This is super ripe. I enjoyed it a lot

more than I thought it would. It will not stay around for a long

time but that did was good fun. have converted be to Star Trek, a

kind of. Matthew McConaughey, I thought he was an idiot. Then I saw

on the beach he was amazing in. Everyone thought the same thing

about him. He did romantic comedies. Now he plays somebody on the run.

Two boys find a deserted island where a boat is on the tree. They

want to use it as a tree house but it is already inhabited by Matthew

that pistol? Protection. You do not need to be afraid of me. I have two

bit of Huckleberry friend? Absolutely. This director is great

and location. You can feel the swarmed, you can feel the heat. I

love that about his work. The kids are absolutely brilliant. Some

comparisons are made to stand by me. The interesting thing about the

film is that his performance the lead. Matthew McConaughey has found

his second act. It is a film about atmosphere, relationships. It is

not perfect but it is a very interesting boys two men film with

a strong sense of setting. And more proved that Matthew McConaughey has

a great future ahead of him. Just when you're after everyone said he

was done. He is the prisoner for occasion of evil in that other from.

Matthew McConaughey takes he showed off kind of film. Thank goodness

for that. His next film is your movie of the week. It is an

extraordinary war movie. It has echoes of... It is about loyalty

and betrayal. And what it means to collaborate. In the way that all

war movies... Is about ideas, concrete, human suffering. It is

not an action movie. It is tough to watch. But it is fully rewarding.

It has a haunting atmosphere. It has a strong sense of place. You

feel like it is dealing with a really weighty issues. Although it

is a very personal drama. It is also the moral fog. The moral fog,

the literal fog. You can interpret the title in many ways. The DVD is

the tsunami movie. It is inspired with a true story. I thought it was

a very powerful drama. You can consider how easy it would be to do

the story and make it exploitative. It is traumatic. If parents want to

watch it with their children, bear in mind it maybe more traumatising

for the keys. Technically, it is really well done. Most of my

friends who have seen it said they loved it. The film takes more

accounts to the death of other people which people give it credit

for. The film and gestures towards the wider tragedy. It just happens
