Hello and welcome to
The One Show with Alex Jones... | 0:00:11 | 0:00:14
And Matt Baker. | 0:00:14 | 0:00:16
Thanks to everyone who has
already sent in nominations | 0:00:16 | 0:00:21
for our Health Awards. | 0:00:21 | 0:00:24
We've had about 1000 already.
Fantastic. | 0:00:24 | 0:00:30
We're running it
with The Patients' Association. | 0:00:30 | 0:00:32
We're off to a great start. | 0:00:32 | 0:00:34
It's terrific to see that so many
people want to nominate NHS staff | 0:00:34 | 0:00:37
Almost 1000 since last night when we
mentioned it. | 0:00:37 | 0:00:42
You can go to our website
to see the categories | 0:00:42 | 0:00:45
and all the details of how to enter. | 0:00:45 | 0:00:46
We can't accept letters
so if you are not on the internet | 0:00:46 | 0:00:49
please ask a friend who is to help
you out. | 0:00:49 | 0:00:52
Our guest tonight was born
in New York and made his name in LA, | 0:00:52 | 0:00:55
but he's just as well-known on this
side of the pond. | 0:00:55 | 0:00:58
Yeah, and long before Harry
and Meghan, he was angling | 0:00:58 | 0:01:00
for a trans-Atlantic royal romance
of his own... | 0:01:00 | 0:01:03
Can I say how deeply hurt I was that
you didn't choose to kiss me | 0:01:03 | 0:01:09
earlier, Stephen? LAUGHTER
Thank you! | 0:01:09 | 0:01:17
That's the first time I've ever
kissed a member of the Royal family! | 0:01:17 | 0:01:25
Pucker up everybody, it's Cuba
Gooding Jr! CHEERING AND APPLAUSE | 0:01:27 | 0:01:30
Hello. He never calls! Ian Evatt
calls. He is nearly royalty but not | 0:01:30 | 0:01:41
quite, Stephen Fry. What about Harry
and Megan? Everyone is getting | 0:01:41 | 0:01:45
excited here. What is it like on
your side of the pond? I don't know, | 0:01:45 | 0:01:52
I'm here. I'm sure the | 0:01:52 | 0:01:57
I'm here. I'm sure the buzz...
Everyone in my life is like, can't | 0:02:00 | 0:02:02
wait to get over their and see it.
It's enough to make you want to | 0:02:02 | 0:02:05
quit! Did you manage to catch the
Oscars? I did. Frances McDormand, | 0:02:05 | 0:02:14
the words she wanted everyone to
hear with inclusion riders. Aiming | 0:02:14 | 0:02:18
for equality. That is something that
is being talked a lot about in | 0:02:18 | 0:02:21
Hollywood? You know, listen... I was
interviewed extensively when they | 0:02:21 | 0:02:27
did the Oscars. People with
different sides of the opinion, but | 0:02:27 | 0:02:34
at the end of the day it is a
conversation that starts change and | 0:02:34 | 0:02:37
that is all we are trying to do,
talk about something, talk about an | 0:02:37 | 0:02:41
issue, and even if it is just a
subtle change, even if it's someone | 0:02:41 | 0:02:47
being more accountable for their
involvement in diversity and what | 0:02:47 | 0:02:52
not, it's a good thing structure
absolutely. | 0:02:52 | 0:02:53
When the fox hunting
ban came into effect | 0:02:53 | 0:02:55
in England and Wales in 2005,
it might have seemed like the debate | 0:02:55 | 0:02:58
on the issue was over. | 0:02:58 | 0:02:59
But 13 years later,
tensions continue. | 0:02:59 | 0:03:01
40,000 people still take part
in trail or drag hunts every year, | 0:03:01 | 0:03:04
saying they are a vital part
of the rural way of life. | 0:03:04 | 0:03:07
And the anti-hunt movement
is still active too, | 0:03:07 | 0:03:10
but their tactics have changed. | 0:03:10 | 0:03:11
Here's Joe. | 0:03:11 | 0:03:17
63-year-old teacher Lesley is used
to keeping a close eye on her pupils | 0:03:21 | 0:03:24
but in her spare time, attention
turns to the activities of those who | 0:03:24 | 0:03:28
hunt with in Cheshire. We have it on
film, you better called off right | 0:03:28 | 0:03:33
now! You are getting on my way so I
can't. And today I am joining her as | 0:03:33 | 0:03:39
she monitors a local trail hunt. And
her colleagues at not Sam Hunt | 0:03:39 | 0:03:45
Summit of the volunteers who follow
various fronts and if there is any | 0:03:45 | 0:03:50
evidence of illegal activity, they
hope to capture it. The hunting ban | 0:03:50 | 0:03:53
has been in place for the last 30
years and prohibits the hunting | 0:03:53 | 0:03:58
foxes with a pack of hounds but the
hounds are allowed to trail hunt, | 0:03:58 | 0:04:03
tracing a scent laid down before the
takes place. | 0:04:03 | 0:04:08
The monitors claim the evidence they
gathered shows that foxes are being | 0:04:08 | 0:04:13
intentionally hunted. The hunt
organisers say foxes are sometimes | 0:04:13 | 0:04:17
killed but it is always by accident
during a trail hunt. We filmed the | 0:04:17 | 0:04:21
organisers laying the trail for
today's comps but Leslie is | 0:04:21 | 0:04:25
sceptical that has any effect. The
hounds don't show any interest, | 0:04:25 | 0:04:31
never, ever. It is a bruise. Goes on
the hunt would disagree. What is | 0:04:31 | 0:04:37
your relationship like with the
hunt? They probably see me as a boil | 0:04:37 | 0:04:41
that needs popping. Tension and
suspicion is high on both sides. | 0:04:41 | 0:04:45
Everyone seems to be recording what
the other is doing. This group, who | 0:04:45 | 0:04:49
are part of the hunt, are riding
quad bikes and concealing their | 0:04:49 | 0:04:53
faces. Who are the people with
covered faces? They are terrier men. | 0:04:53 | 0:04:58
If the fox goes to ground in a
badger set or fox earth, the | 0:04:58 | 0:05:03
Terriers are put down the hole to
get the fox up so the hunt can carry | 0:05:03 | 0:05:09
on chasing it. But speculation is
not enough, monitors have to prove | 0:05:09 | 0:05:14
foxes are being actively pursued or
killed deliberately. Some of their | 0:05:14 | 0:05:17
footage is under review by the CPS
and police say there are two formal | 0:05:17 | 0:05:23
investigations as a direct result of
monitor footage. How hard is it to | 0:05:23 | 0:05:27
gather evidence? We have do have
what we call the money shot, which | 0:05:27 | 0:05:32
is the fox fleeing. The other is the
hounds chasing the fox and the third | 0:05:32 | 0:05:36
main one is the Huntsman showing in
tents, using voice or horn calls. | 0:05:36 | 0:05:50
tents, using voice or horn calls. We
are all those three elements in one | 0:05:50 | 0:05:52
shot.
You can imagine how difficult that | 0:05:52 | 0:05:53
is. With the hunt in full swing,
Cheshire police arrived to keep an | 0:05:53 | 0:05:57
eye on things. The force is under
review following complaints over the | 0:05:57 | 0:05:58
way alleged hunting crimes are
investigated. They told us | 0:05:58 | 0:06:00
logistically policing a hunt is
extremely difficult and they work | 0:06:00 | 0:06:04
with both sides to minimise any
illegal activity. Three hours into | 0:06:04 | 0:06:08
the hunt on the monitors claim to
have spotted hounds chasing a fox in | 0:06:08 | 0:06:13
a badger sets. They say they often
use the mother place to hide. All of | 0:06:13 | 0:06:18
these have been filled in. That
looks fresh. The monitors believe | 0:06:18 | 0:06:22
the hunt does it on purpose so the
fox has nowhere to hide but they | 0:06:22 | 0:06:25
have no way of proving it was
deliberately filled in and it is | 0:06:25 | 0:06:29
strongly denied by those on the
hunt. The fox ran from that | 0:06:29 | 0:06:34
direction and then the whole field
came and we tried to protect the | 0:06:34 | 0:06:39
badger set from more damage. We were
saying no, this is a badger set. No, | 0:06:39 | 0:06:47
no one laughing at us. Filling in a
badger set is a wildlife crime with | 0:06:47 | 0:06:53
a six-month prison sentence and
hefty fine if caught. But with no | 0:06:53 | 0:06:57
evidence on film, the monitors have
no way of knowing who is | 0:06:57 | 0:07:01
responsible. We've been pursuing the
hunt for about four and a half hours | 0:07:01 | 0:07:04
now. Whether you think what's going
on is illegal or not, to observe it | 0:07:04 | 0:07:08
and check what is happening is
tricky, because there are only a | 0:07:08 | 0:07:11
couple of points when you can come
across them and see what they are | 0:07:11 | 0:07:14
actually doing. Today's | 0:07:14 | 0:07:25
event run by the Cheshire Hunt. We
approached them for an interview but | 0:07:28 | 0:07:30
they asked the Countryside Alliance
to speak on their behalf. How | 0:07:30 | 0:07:33
closely did the hunt followed the
law today? To the letter, it's the | 0:07:33 | 0:07:36
law. Why do they get masked terrier
men? They are only masked because | 0:07:36 | 0:07:38
they are on a quad bike and it's to
protect them. They repair the | 0:07:38 | 0:07:41
countryside. They have the equipment
to late trails in their boxes and | 0:07:41 | 0:07:43
mend fences because that is their
job. They can access parts of the | 0:07:43 | 0:07:46
country that you can't get to one
foot. Was about the allegations of | 0:07:46 | 0:07:50
filling in badger sets? There's a
lot of CCTV on a number of badger | 0:07:50 | 0:07:55
sets around the country they will
find out who's doing but it is not a | 0:07:55 | 0:07:58
hunt directive at all. It is very
convenient it happened on the date | 0:07:58 | 0:08:03
the cameras are out of the monitors.
Who's to say they didn't do it | 0:08:03 | 0:08:06
themselves? A suggestion strongly
denied by the monitors. In Cheshire, | 0:08:06 | 0:08:10
the hunt is drawing to a close and
although they didn't capture | 0:08:10 | 0:08:14
evidence of illegal fox hunting for
Leslie it is still a day well spent. | 0:08:14 | 0:08:17
We don't just come out to get of
illegal hunting. In my view, even if | 0:08:17 | 0:08:24
the monitors save one fox in a day,
it is worth it. Joe Lewis here to | 0:08:24 | 0:08:28
speak about this a bit more. | 0:08:28 | 0:08:30
With these film clips that are
taken, has anyone been arrested or | 0:08:30 | 0:08:36
prosecuted? There have been a number
of cases where there have been | 0:08:36 | 0:08:39
successful prosecutions on the back
of filming. In Oxfordshire, it was | 0:08:39 | 0:08:45
successfully proved using footage
gathered over several days that | 0:08:45 | 0:08:47
hounds were being encouraged to
pursue foxes. The organisers were | 0:08:47 | 0:08:53
find thousands of pounds. In
Somerset also, and for the first | 0:08:53 | 0:08:56
time last year, a prosecution in
Scotland, where footage was | 0:08:56 | 0:09:00
instrumental in improving illegal
fox hunting was taking place. But, | 0:09:00 | 0:09:04
and there is a big but, there's
always two sides to everything. | 0:09:04 | 0:09:08
Given the amount of hunts going out
and hunting days, there are and have | 0:09:08 | 0:09:12
been very few prosecutions for fox
hunting. The other thing is it is | 0:09:12 | 0:09:16
not just fox hunts who fall foul of
the law. The cyber tours and | 0:09:16 | 0:09:22
monitors have been found guilty in
certain circumstances. | 0:09:22 | 0:09:29
certain circumstances. Sabateurs
were found guilty of trespass. | 0:09:29 | 0:09:32
Another monitor in Wales was found
guilty of assault and intimidating a | 0:09:32 | 0:09:36
hunt member. It is heated and there
is violence and abuse on both sides. | 0:09:36 | 0:09:41
Collusion. We will leave it there.
Huber, we will talk about Chicago | 0:09:41 | 0:09:46
very shortly. | 0:09:46 | 0:09:48
First, a few hours ago... | 0:09:48 | 0:09:50
This was me. | 0:09:50 | 0:09:51
That's a cold water test. | 0:09:51 | 0:09:55
For cold water swimming. I'm doing a
challenge and they say you have to | 0:09:55 | 0:09:59
do the test before you take part.
Brothers don't like the cold! It was | 0:09:59 | 0:10:06
freezing. You looked really calm, it
bodes well. I was like a swan with | 0:10:06 | 0:10:10
the legs going manic. Poker face,
bodes well for Loch Ness. At least | 0:10:10 | 0:10:16
you're not doing this alone. This is
the whole point. | 0:10:16 | 0:10:22
We find out about the motivation
driving the mother of all | 0:10:22 | 0:10:28
This year our sport challenge will
be a tough one so I'm relieved I | 0:10:28 | 0:10:32
won't be alone. And with just a few
weeks to go before it begins, it is | 0:10:32 | 0:10:37
time for me to meet my team-mates.
Have you been training? Yeah... | 0:10:37 | 0:10:42
Yeah, but only for the last five
weeks. Five weeks? Prior to that I | 0:10:42 | 0:10:48
was sat on the couch for 50 years!
Why did you choose to do it? For me | 0:10:48 | 0:10:53
it was the fact my whole life I've
never finished anything. When I saw | 0:10:53 | 0:10:57
this, I was like, this is my thing.
My name is Jodi, I'm 29 and I live | 0:10:57 | 0:11:05
with my partner Ben. I have two
sons. When I first it was quite | 0:11:05 | 0:11:16
dramatic, I lost a lot of blood and
they handed me me this baby and I | 0:11:16 | 0:11:19
didn't know him. Jodi struggled to
bond with her baby because of this | 0:11:19 | 0:11:25
pressure she and his split up. I was
in this place where it was very | 0:11:25 | 0:11:32
dark. I was very isolated. I felt so
alone. I just didn't have that | 0:11:32 | 0:11:38
connection. You feel you should
have, as a mother, and that | 0:11:38 | 0:11:43
continued until he was about two
years old and I met Ben. With the | 0:11:43 | 0:11:50
help of Ben Jodi fought her
postnatal depression and after six | 0:11:50 | 0:11:52
years she fell pregnant again. I
started becoming obsessed with | 0:11:52 | 0:11:57
getting their baby out. I would
stand at the top of the stairs and | 0:11:57 | 0:12:02
think, if I just fell down the
stairs, they'd have to take me to | 0:12:02 | 0:12:07
hospital. I went in to see the
consultant and she just took one | 0:12:07 | 0:12:10
look at me and went, we need to get
this baby out, now. They gave meet | 0:12:10 | 0:12:17
him and I held him and I loved him.
It was like this just lifted off my | 0:12:17 | 0:12:23
head. I came home and Taylor was
made to be a Big Brother. I suddenly | 0:12:23 | 0:12:30
felt like a mother. It helps me. It
gave me a chance to try and, what I | 0:12:30 | 0:12:37
felt, fixed some of the damage I'd
done, and that was All of our mums | 0:12:37 | 0:12:45
taking part have experienced some
difficulty on their journey of | 0:12:45 | 0:12:47
motherhood. I think a group of
mothers are the most capable because | 0:12:47 | 0:12:54
we deal with so much on a daily
basis. I think more than anything, I | 0:12:54 | 0:12:58
just felt like I wanted to do
something for me. I had IVF and | 0:12:58 | 0:13:02
nobody would talk about it or they
would back off as if it was a bit of | 0:13:02 | 0:13:05
a taboo. I was like, let's talk
about it. Leigh from Glasgow had a | 0:13:05 | 0:13:11
normal pregnancy with her first son
Ross and after meeting her new | 0:13:11 | 0:13:14
husband Colin found they had
problems conceiving. To find out | 0:13:14 | 0:13:19
that you can't get pregnant
naturally, it's quite devastating. | 0:13:19 | 0:13:23
One of the options available to us
was IVF treatment. So when I went | 0:13:23 | 0:13:28
along and had my scan, the doctor
was looking at the monitor, she | 0:13:28 | 0:13:32
wasn't seeing what she would expect
to see at that stage. Unfortunately | 0:13:32 | 0:13:36
it was a miscarriage. I was
devastated. I couldn't stop crying. | 0:13:36 | 0:13:42
It was like grief. To be honest, it
was like a child dying, I can't | 0:13:42 | 0:13:47
describe it as anything else. Once I
was able to talk about it, I talked | 0:13:47 | 0:13:51
about it until I was raw and I
didn't think anyone would listen | 0:13:51 | 0:13:54
because that is my form of therapy.
I was like, let's go again. And it | 0:13:54 | 0:14:00
worked. I had twins, Freya and
Ethan. Our mums want to help raise | 0:14:00 | 0:14:08
as much money for Sport Relief as
they can, and I am going to help | 0:14:08 | 0:14:11
them. But it is not going to be
easy, as part of their training | 0:14:11 | 0:14:17
ready for Loch Ness they first had
to face the chilly temperatures of | 0:14:17 | 0:14:21
this lake. It is incredibly tough
even for seasoned open water | 0:14:21 | 0:14:27
swimmers. It is absolute purgatory. | 0:14:27 | 0:14:33
I couldn't get a breath. As soon as
the waves came, I was panicking. I | 0:14:33 | 0:14:40
got through it, and to see the other
girls just going for it I was like, | 0:14:40 | 0:14:43
I'm not getting left behind! I'm
more worried about this one than any | 0:14:43 | 0:14:49
other Sport Relief challenge. I just
hope the girls and I will become a | 0:14:49 | 0:14:53
team. I love being part of a group.
Can't believe how cold it was! I | 0:14:53 | 0:15:01
think as a team we will be really
strong together. We might have | 0:15:01 | 0:15:05
struggled to be the mothers we
thought we were going to be. It | 0:15:05 | 0:15:09
doesn't matter. You can do
absolutely anything. Failure is not | 0:15:09 | 0:15:12
an option. | 0:15:12 | 0:15:18
Strong words to finish on. As you
can see, these girls are very | 0:15:18 | 0:15:25
motivated. Thank you to them for
talking about subjects that are very | 0:15:25 | 0:15:30
difficult, especially being so
honest about it. | 0:15:30 | 0:15:34

And while we're talking mothers,
congratulations to Angela who has | 0:16:11 | 0:16:16
just given birth to a daughter -
Ruby. | 0:16:16 | 0:16:24 | |
If you are watching, Angela,
congratulations and lots of love. | 0:16:24 | 0:16:29
I'm very nervous about this
challenge. The question is, how are | 0:16:29 | 0:16:34
you feeling, Cuba Gooding Jr near,
about this? Oh, yes. In three weeks' | 0:16:34 | 0:16:42
time, that would be you, sir. It's
like we're in rehearsals. This is | 0:16:42 | 0:16:48
something else. | 0:16:48 | 0:16:52
Yesterday was the first day of
rehearsals. Yesterday was the first | 0:16:52 | 0:16:58
day. Horrifying! It's just
terrifying because everybody is | 0:16:58 | 0:17:03
nervous. OK, what's he going to do?
Can he sing. We know he can dance | 0:17:03 | 0:17:09
and has energy but can he sing? And
I'm, do they think I can sing? You | 0:17:09 | 0:17:16
just go and you create a character
and you meet people who all want you | 0:17:16 | 0:17:21
to win and you want to win for them
and the family is created and we | 0:17:21 | 0:17:25
bring a little soul to it. A lot of
people have played Billy Flynn, a | 0:17:25 | 0:17:31
real smoothie. Not like this! We've
had John Barrowman, David | 0:17:31 | 0:17:40
Hasselhoff, Richard Gere. The King
of smooth. Amateurs! We know that | 0:17:40 | 0:17:47
Richard Gere can't really sing and
dance but are you bringing some soul | 0:17:47 | 0:17:52
to it? We've got a lot of love down
there. We're moving. I guess there | 0:17:52 | 0:17:59
were a couple of touring companies
around the UK and we have taken the | 0:17:59 | 0:18:04
best of the best and surrounded by
these wonderful men and women. It's | 0:18:04 | 0:18:09
like one fluid, vocal... You know.
Thing. You did grow up in a very | 0:18:09 | 0:18:17
musical family. Both of your parents
were singers. I did. The main | 0:18:17 | 0:18:23
ingredient, Cuba Gooding Jr senior.
My mother, her opening act was a | 0:18:23 | 0:18:37
little group called Diana Ross and
the Supremes. Their group, the | 0:18:37 | 0:18:43
sweethearts disbanded when they got
pregnant and they were replaced by a | 0:18:43 | 0:18:49
Diana Ross and the Supremes. We know
you are an incredible break dancer. | 0:18:49 | 0:18:55
This is the kind of stuff that
potentially Cuba will be bringing to | 0:18:55 | 0:18:59
the West End. | 0:18:59 | 0:19:03
APPLAUSE
You're obviously going to have some | 0:19:15 | 0:19:22
kind of Lycra put into your taxi
dough. Billy Flynn is cool. He | 0:19:22 | 0:19:28
doesn't flip on the floor. So how
are you going to bring your moves to | 0:19:28 | 0:19:33
Billy Flynn? He knows how to
manipulate people to want to be | 0:19:33 | 0:19:39
around him. All the ladies in the
show, they want Billy! And then he | 0:19:39 | 0:19:45
walks out. Then he does his thing.
You know. So... You are in the zone | 0:19:45 | 0:19:53
and you have only had one day in
rehearsals. Just finished the | 0:19:53 | 0:19:59
second. I'm really excited. You
don't understand, American actors | 0:19:59 | 0:20:04
worship anything that is on the West
End. We look over there, we go, wow, | 0:20:04 | 0:20:11
Shakespeare, son Laurence Olivier,
we did it. When I got the | 0:20:11 | 0:20:14
opportunity to come over here, they
ask me to audition. I said, of | 0:20:14 | 0:20:20
course. You get emotional. It's a
real feather in the cap. You are | 0:20:20 | 0:20:26
going to be an excellent Billy. We
really can't wait to see it. It | 0:20:26 | 0:20:32
opens in the West End at the Phoenix
Theatre on March 26. | 0:20:32 | 0:20:36
We can all make wild
claims sometimes - | 0:20:36 | 0:20:38
Cuba once said he had too much sex
appeal to play James Bond. | 0:20:38 | 0:20:43
But possibly the most outrageous
claim we've ever heard is from a man | 0:20:43 | 0:20:47
Did I say that? | 0:20:47 | 0:20:49
But possibly the most outrageous
claim we've ever heard is from a man | 0:20:49 | 0:20:53
whose family got in touch to say
he's 'faster than Google' | 0:20:53 | 0:20:55
at recalling facts. | 0:20:55 | 0:20:57
Alex Riley's been
putting him to the test. | 0:20:57 | 0:21:02
If you have voice actor to
technology at home, you might want | 0:21:02 | 0:21:05
to cover its ears now. They are the
must have home gadget, web connected | 0:21:05 | 0:21:12
virtual assistants. They have exotic
names. They can tell you the latest | 0:21:12 | 0:21:19
news and weather, play music,
control gadgets around your home | 0:21:19 | 0:21:23
like eating and lightning, they can
even answer questions. Who is Alex | 0:21:23 | 0:21:29
Riley? He is an American
professional wrestler and | 0:21:29 | 0:21:35
commentator. It's estimated that 3
million households have a smart | 0:21:35 | 0:21:41
speaker. I have three kids so they
spend a lot of time trying to speak | 0:21:41 | 0:21:46
to it. If you pronounce a Welsh
place name slightly wrong, it will | 0:21:46 | 0:21:51
get it completely wrong. It tells
you jokes. Funny jokes? No. But can | 0:21:51 | 0:22:07
the leading smart speaker 's beat
our human Google? On which day did | 0:22:07 | 0:22:15
Concorde Mate it's fastest
transatlantic flight? Humphrey, also | 0:22:15 | 0:22:23
known as Gary Kemp has agreed to
take on the smart speaker is in a | 0:22:23 | 0:22:30
fact off. Man will vie with machine
to answer correctly in the quickest | 0:22:30 | 0:22:35
possible time. Remember, the order
of the questions and the speakers | 0:22:35 | 0:22:38
have been chosen at random. Who
cares? It's only a bit of fun. | 0:22:38 | 0:22:45
Humphrey, in this first round, you
will be taking on Alexa. I don't | 0:22:45 | 0:22:53
know that one. Time starts now. What
year did Henry third become the king | 0:22:53 | 0:23:02
of England. He was king of the
Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth from | 0:23:02 | 0:23:10
1573-75. He became king of England
in 1516. Both incorrect. 1216. Which | 0:23:10 | 0:23:18
jockey won the Grand National horse
race in 1971. Don't know who the | 0:23:18 | 0:23:23
jockey was. When did the Titanic set
off? Wednesday the 10th of May 1912. | 0:23:23 | 0:23:31
Correct. The score is 2.2 Humphrey
and zero to Alexa. Sorry, I'm not | 0:23:31 | 0:23:39
sure. I am. Zero points. Next,
Humphrey is up against Google home. | 0:23:39 | 0:23:49
Sorry, I'm not sure how to help.
When did William Shakespeare die? | 0:23:49 | 0:23:56
The 23rd of April 16 16. Correct.
Humphrey just pipped Google home by | 0:23:56 | 0:24:05
being quicker with the right answer.
Humphrey, use good four points. | 0:24:05 | 0:24:12
Google, use you scored zero points.
But I'm learning every day. | 0:24:12 | 0:24:25
But I'm learning every day. Siri,
how are you feeling? Let's talk | 0:24:26 | 0:24:28
about you not me. How many colours
on the flag of the United States. | 0:24:28 | 0:24:36
Three colours, red, white and blue.
When was the Battle of Waterloo? | 0:24:36 | 0:24:43
18th of June 18 15. Humphrey just
sneaked that one. Humphrey has just | 0:24:43 | 0:24:49
got the edge but the speaker is not
quitting. When was the first | 0:24:49 | 0:24:54
Wimbledon tennis tournament? 1887.
Roger Federer decimated Thomas | 0:24:54 | 0:25:04
Berdych. He wasn't even born. Stop!
Siri, stop! Age are to Kent to the | 0:25:04 | 0:25:18
final round of questions. The
overall scores are in. It is one | 0:25:18 | 0:25:23
point to the speakers while Humphrey
scored 12 points. Congratulations, | 0:25:23 | 0:25:28
you have won the One Show fact. The
smartest speaker was Google home. | 0:25:28 | 0:25:41
Apple with three and Amazon Eco got
zero points. You need a wild | 0:25:41 | 0:25:50
Humphrey on the table. We've got one
on the sofa. Goodness me. What was | 0:25:50 | 0:25:57
the question you got wrong? It was
about the Titanic. I couldn't think | 0:25:57 | 0:26:04
of Kate Winslet's name. That was the
only one. That test was clearly too | 0:26:04 | 0:26:11
easy for you. We are going to push
you now. | 0:26:11 | 0:26:24
We want to know, does Humphrey know
Cuba Gooding Jr better | 0:26:24 | 0:26:27
than Cuba Gooding Jr
knows Cuba Gooding Jr? | 0:26:27 | 0:26:30
We are going to ask questions about
you. Just go straight in. If you | 0:26:30 | 0:26:37
know the answer... Here we go. A
bottle of razzle-dazzle in the | 0:26:37 | 0:26:42
background. | 0:26:42 | 0:26:42
Why is July 12th 1991
significant to Cuba? | 0:26:42 | 0:26:48
Date Boyz In The Hood was released. | 0:26:48 | 0:26:51
Correct, it was. Let's move on. Was
that July 12? You're good, man! | 0:26:51 | 0:27:03
Great day! | 0:27:03 | 0:27:04
Name all the high-schools | 0:27:04 | 0:27:05
attended by Cuba... | 0:27:05 | 0:27:11
I know there is four. | 0:27:11 | 0:27:16
North Hollywood High School,
Tustin High School, | 0:27:16 | 0:27:18
Apple Valley High
School, | 0:27:18 | 0:27:19
and John F Kennedy High School. | 0:27:19 | 0:27:22
Very nice. | 0:27:22 | 0:27:24
How was Cuba credited in his first
film appearance in 1988? | 0:27:24 | 0:27:30
If you know it, shouted. I know it.
I was in a barber chair. | 0:27:30 | 0:27:36
"Boy getting haircut"
in Coming To America. | 0:27:36 | 0:27:43
Look at that, with the Afro. | 0:27:43 | 0:27:45
In what year did Cuba get a star
on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? | 0:27:45 | 0:27:49
2002. | 0:27:49 | 0:27:52 | |
Cuba, come on! The year of the Snow
dog. | 0:27:52 | 0:27:59 | |
Name any five of the ten
films that Cuba appeared | 0:27:59 | 0:28:02
in before Jerry Maguire. | 0:28:02 | 0:28:10
Boyz In The hood | 0:28:11 | 0:28:15
Lightning Jack | 0:28:15 | 0:28:19
Coming To America | 0:28:19 | 0:28:27
There we go. We are done. Cuba, you
were a rodeo champion, were you not? | 0:28:27 | 0:28:40
I competed in competitions. We used
to do all of the rodeos in Burbank | 0:28:40 | 0:28:45
California. In the early 90s. It's
been great to meet you. Thank you | 0:28:45 | 0:28:50
for coming along. Thanks to Humphrey
and of course to Cuba. | 0:28:50 | 0:28:56
Chicago opens at the Phoenix
Theatre, London, on March 26th. | 0:28:56 | 0:28:58
And a reminder to go to our website | 0:28:58 | 0:29:00
