This is Blue Peter - but mini.
Expect epic adventures,
makes, bakes, badges,
pets, presenters and your post.
We've only got five minutes, so get ready for your Blue Peter adventure.
Over the years,
we've broken some amazing world records here on Blue Peter -
from inviting experts into the studio
to getting in on the action ourselves.
Last year, we broke the world record
for the most people gunged in three minutes.
Then, at Christmas,
it was the fastest time to dress in a Santa costume...
Oh, round of applause!
..and back in March, we smashed the world record
for the most shaving-foam beards applied in three minutes.
So, how will we do today?
Alan, please help me out - what are the rules?
OK, Radzi, you will be attempting
the official Guinness World Record title
for most whoopie cushions sat on in one minute -
and the record set is 80.
It's a lot!
The important rules to remember are,
you must sit on the whoopie cushions individually. OK.
Only whoopie cushions that make a raspberry style noise
will be counted, and, very importantly... Pffrrt!
..any whoopie cushion that's exploded or teared
will not count towards your total score.
See, that's the bit that makes it hard. That's hard!
Do you know what?
It's not just that bit, it's the fact I've got to do 80!
My legs will be so tired... It's a lot of squats.
It's a lot of squats, this. You're going to have tired legs.
We should say, it has been attempted before,
but just for 30 seconds.
It was on CBBC's Officially Amazing with the gorgeous Ben Shires -
but we're going to try and do it for 60 seconds.
With the gorgeous Radzi. With the gorgeous Radzi.
Wish me luck at home - cheer along.
I'll hear all your cheers. Radz, go for it.
OK. Come on! He's genuinely nervous, isn't he? He is.
Get yourself ready - Alan's going to follow him.
We'd normally do a big 3-2-1 countdown in the studio,
but we can't - it's an official world record.
Only Alan can start the record, so, Alan, whenever you're ready.
We'll do a bit of commentating. Best of luck, mate.
Go for it, Radz! Here we go.
This is an official Guinness World Records title.
For the title...three, two, one. Go.
He's off to a nice start, there.
You can tell he practised all weekend for this.
Do you know what, though?
The one thing that we know about Radzi
is that he's meticulous about everything that he does.
He thinks about everything so well before he attempts to do anything.
They're all making the noise, aren't they? Can you hear that?
They're all making the noise, and this makes them count -
unless they've split.
All he's got to do is get just over halfway, which is 40,
just before 30 seconds.
That was his aim, wasn't it? Yeah. He said if he can do that...
There we go, he's just gone past 40. He's so close!
He's on track to do this. That was in 29 seconds, though.
Now, don't forget... Can he do this?
..Radzi is doing squats - he is doing one after the other.
The muscles in his legs are going to be burning like you've no idea.
He's got such a long way to go. 60.
He's coming round the corner, back into the studio. I can hear him!
Come on, Radzi! Mate, this is awesome! You can do it!
Mate, you've got 12 seconds left. 12 seconds left, come on!
Nine, eight, seven... Keep going, Radz, you can do it!
..six, five, four... Come on, Radz, keep going, keep going, keep going!
..three, two, one... Keep going! Keep going!
ALL CHEER Mate, that was amazing! Oh, Radzi!
We were all saying, "There's no way he's going to do this."
Mate, that was awesome. Well done! How are you feeling?
Is that a silly question? Linds, I've got nothing left!
He's got nothing. Argh!
OK, Radzi, stand up if you can - I know you've got jelly legs -
because it's time to hand over to Alan to see whether... He's done it.
..Blue Peter have got a new world record. Please! Fingers crossed.
Well, Radzi, I can tell you that it was a valid attempt. Oh...
That's good. Remember, the record to set today was 80.
I don't...! ..84!
You know what? We thought that was the hardest thing ever,
that you were never going to do it -
and look at you. You smashed it. We knew you would.
Can I just say, although I broke the record,
it was the whole Blue Peter team that did it -
so many people went into organising that.
Thank you. Well done, team!
Thank you, Alan. We'll see you next week.
Radzi, have a good sit down. That was amazing. YEAH!
