And he's been waiting and waiting

The next morning, when Rory woke up,

"After five more bedtimes,"

Dad took Rory fishing on the ice.

but he didn't catch any fish.

"Not for four more bedtimes,"

"We have lots of work to do first."

"You're a very strong bear,"

When Rory woke up the next morning,

"After three more bedtimes,"

When Rory woke up the next morning,

"Not for two more bedtimes,"

Mum and Rory walked and ran

They saw lots of wonderful things.

Rory was getting bored with waiting.

"After one more bedtime," said Dad.

Then there was a huge splash

"Swim, Rory, swim," he said.

Rory followed Dad, paddling hard.

The next morning, Rory asked,

"We'll see the magic sky tonight."

He couldn't see the magic sky and now he was lost and all alone!

"Mum!" he shouted in relief.

"I was looking for the magic sky,"

"We have to wait for night-time

and see the magic sky," said Mum.
