Oh, hey. You just caught me giving dinosaur here a bath.

Dinosaurs love baths, you know. It's true.

Tonight's bedtime story is actually about a little girl

who has a secret dinosaur friend.

Would you like to hear it?

Great.

Well, if you're sitting comfortably, I'll begin.

The story is called There's A Dinosaur In My Bathtub

and it's by Catalina Echeverri.

-AS AMELIA:

-Hello, my name is Amelia

and I have something very important to tell you.

Sh, it's a secret.

So you mustn't tell anyone in the whole world, OK?

Look, there's a dinosaur in my bathtub.

-AS PIERRE:

-Bonjour.

His name is Pierre and he comes from France.

Having a dinosaur in your bathtub can be rather tricky.

Pierre has to hide every time Mum needs to wash her hair

or Dad goes to the loo or wrinkles need to be hosed down.

It's not easy being inconspicuous...

That means being almost invisible.

..when you're a big, green, French dinosaur

with a curly black moustache.

But thankfully, Pierre is very good at hiding.

In fact, Pierre is so good at hiding that no-one can see him...

nobody, that is, except me.

I love having Pierre around.

With Pierre, life is never boring.

Every Tuesday, we travel to the moon

and drink hot galactic chocolate with marshmallow stars.

And every Thursday, we have a giant ice cream after tea.

-AS PIERRE:

-C'est delicieux!

When it rains, we don't mind.

We stay indoors and dance upside down

to the tune of Pierre's magic violin.

-AS PIERRE:

-La-la-la, le-le, la-la-le-le.

And when it's sunny, we sail in our bathtub boat to magical lands.

Land ahoy.

-AS PIERRE:

-On y va!

Lands where the trees are made from candyfloss and where you can

be taken on a sweetie tasting tour by a jelly bear in a cowboy hat.

I have so much fun with Pierre.

Wheeee!

-AS PIERRE:

-Wheee!

I'd like him to stay for ever.

But everyone knows that French dinosaurs like Pierre only

get to stay in people's bathtubs for the summer.

So when the leaves start to fall off the trees,

it's time for Pierre to pack up his suitcase.

Before he goes, we have a delicious picnic together

with plenty of stinky cheese, Pierre's favourite.

Then we say goodbye, promising to write often.

Pierre says that he'll be back very soon.

-AS PIERRE:

-A bientot!

And I believe him.

He was hiding again under Amelia's bed.

Well, now it's time for me to get this dinosaur out of the bath
