-APPLAUSE -Welcome to Upload Download, we're joined by Anais and Harvey. | 0:01:54 | 0:01:59
Basically, Upload Download is the part of the show where | 0:02:00 | 0:02:03
I bring you weird and wonderful stuff from the internet. | 0:02:03 | 0:02:06
If we like it, we keep it. If we don't like it, we delete it. | 0:02:06 | 0:02:08
-Simple as a pimple. Now, don't start, Cel! -Sorry. | 0:02:08 | 0:02:11
-We haven't even started yet. -You know it gets me, simple as a pimple. | 0:02:11 | 0:02:16
Usually, I bring in clips for you, the first clip is illusion videos. | 0:02:16 | 0:02:20
-Is that like magic? -Sort of. | 0:02:20 | 0:02:22
It's basically videos that make you go wow. | 0:02:22 | 0:02:25
-I like them videos. -Wow. -OK. | 0:02:25 | 0:02:28
-That's good. That is very good. -OK. -How do they do that? | 0:02:32 | 0:02:36
That was just going to be my question. | 0:02:36 | 0:02:38
-You're on it today, guys! -Video editing or...? -Close. | 0:02:38 | 0:02:42
It's like they jump in, did another one when he wasn't | 0:02:42 | 0:02:44
jumping in and then one doing that and one doing that. | 0:02:44 | 0:02:46
I'm not going to give it away just yet. I've got a few more. | 0:02:46 | 0:02:49
See if you can you work it out. Let's go. | 0:02:49 | 0:02:51
THEY LAUGH | 0:02:54 | 0:02:56
-I like that one. -Right, OK. That one is cool. | 0:02:56 | 0:02:58
Let's roll the next one. | 0:02:58 | 0:03:00
This is how we go swimming. | 0:03:00 | 0:03:01
So, do the first bit. Pause it, swap, play it again. | 0:03:07 | 0:03:09
I think I know the answer, but, Cel... | 0:03:09 | 0:03:12
You film, you're walking here and then let's say, | 0:03:12 | 0:03:14
I wanted to change into George, I would be walking and then I would | 0:03:14 | 0:03:17
stop and then he would go to where I was and then he'd film walking. | 0:03:17 | 0:03:21
And the jumping one around the pool... | 0:03:21 | 0:03:22
As he jumps in the air, they take the video | 0:03:22 | 0:03:24
and then they stop it. And he keeps doing that every time. | 0:03:24 | 0:03:27
-You're definitely on the right lines. -Put us out of our misery. | 0:03:27 | 0:03:30
Me and Cel gave it a go backstage. Let's take a look at that first. | 0:03:30 | 0:03:32
-What? -What! -Oh! | 0:03:32 | 0:03:35
You copied me with the hat and T-shirt! | 0:03:35 | 0:03:38
-And the jacket, the red! -I do like that. -Do you like the shirt? | 0:03:38 | 0:03:42
-OK. I really like that. -Cool! -You know, Cel! | 0:03:42 | 0:03:46
I can bag it up and wear anything, me! | 0:03:46 | 0:03:48
Let's see that with a little bit of a hat! | 0:03:48 | 0:03:50
-See you later. -Let's go. | 0:03:50 | 0:03:52
I really want to do that now. That has inspired me. | 0:03:54 | 0:03:56
I'm going to tell you. | 0:03:56 | 0:03:58
Basically, yes, it is pausing, resetting the position, | 0:03:58 | 0:04:01
pausing and so on. We're going to have a go right now. | 0:04:01 | 0:04:04
Because you know I love bringing stuff to the studio. | 0:04:04 | 0:04:07
Where's Charley and Dominic? | 0:04:07 | 0:04:09
Come up here. Are you ready? So, you've just come in the room. | 0:04:09 | 0:04:12
-I like your clothes. -I like your clothes. -Let's switch. | 0:04:12 | 0:04:17
Nice. | 0:04:17 | 0:04:19 | |
The basics was right there. So, let's pause it. | 0:04:19 | 0:04:22
Now, we need to swap tops. Is that cool? | 0:04:22 | 0:04:24
-Quick, guys, time is ticking! -Time is ticking. | 0:04:28 | 0:04:32
So, right, you've swapped your tops. Right. Looking good. | 0:04:32 | 0:04:35
I'll sit down. And same again, yeah? You ready? | 0:04:35 | 0:04:38
-I like your clothes. -I like your clothes. -Let's switch. | 0:04:40 | 0:04:44
Nice. That was good, for a first attempt. That was great. | 0:04:44 | 0:04:49
Let's see if that's worked. | 0:04:49 | 0:04:51
-I like your clothes. -I like your clothes. -Let's switch. | 0:04:51 | 0:04:55
APPLAUSE | 0:04:55 | 0:04:57
Well done, guys, take a seat. | 0:04:57 | 0:04:59
-I think we should keep that, what do you reckon? -Definitely keep. | 0:04:59 | 0:05:02
That's Upload Download complete. | 0:05:05 | 0:05:08
-Hi, we're The Vamps. -Happy holidays. We hope you have a great summer. | 0:05:08 | 0:05:12
Hello and welcome to a very special TV Download. | 0:05:16 | 0:05:18
Now, there's loads of great TV shows coming up in the next | 0:05:18 | 0:05:21
couple of months. But the one I'm most excited about | 0:05:21 | 0:05:24
is brand-new series three of | 0:05:24 | 0:05:26
Wolfblood, which is coming back in the autumn on CBBC. | 0:05:26 | 0:05:29
HOWLING Yes, very exciting stuff. | 0:05:29 | 0:05:33
Now, everything is very top secret at the minute, so I thought | 0:05:33 | 0:05:36
I'd give my friend Louisa a call who plays Shannon Kelly in the | 0:05:36 | 0:05:39
show and ask will she go undercover for Friday Download, and she did. | 0:05:39 | 0:05:42
Let's see how she got on. | 0:05:42 | 0:05:43
Hey, everyone at Friday Download, I'm Louisa and I play Shannon in | 0:05:46 | 0:05:50
Wolfblood and I've got some | 0:05:50 | 0:05:51
behind-the-scenes exclusives for you. Shhhh! | 0:05:51 | 0:05:54
Action. | 0:05:54 | 0:05:56

-All right, guys, we're here with the Ks. -Hey! | 0:06:02 | 0:06:05
-What's going on in this scene? -Liam just got a moped. | 0:06:05 | 0:06:09
And he's riding it into school thinking he's looking really cool. | 0:06:09 | 0:06:13
But he's dressed like a total idiot. | 0:06:13 | 0:06:15
And we're not going to let him have his cool moment. | 0:06:15 | 0:06:18
-THEY LAUGH Bye, girls. -Bye! | 0:06:20 | 0:06:25

She's really happy about it. | 0:07:01 | 0:07:02
So, what has changed about your character this year? | 0:07:02 | 0:07:05
She's still a wild Wolfblood. So she's still crazy. She's wild. | 0:07:05 | 0:07:11

when she leaves school. | 0:07:14 | 0:07:15
But she's a lot more open-minded, I think. | 0:07:15 | 0:07:19

Well, before we go any further, it is | 0:13:14 | 0:13:16
time to step into the Face Off arena for the final time this series. | 0:13:16 | 0:13:20
Here we go. | 0:13:20 | 0:13:21
-There it is, chilly, isn't it? -Feels good it's the last one. | 0:13:23 | 0:13:26
I always get that chill. | 0:13:26 | 0:13:27
The first thing we need to do is find out what this week's | 0:13:27 | 0:13:30
-challenge is and what the potential forfeits might be. -EVIL LAUGHTER | 0:13:30 | 0:13:34
Steve. | 0:13:35 | 0:13:36
Going to miss you, mate, hope you're all right, good to see you! | 0:13:36 | 0:13:39
-I need the envelope, where's my envelope? -Here, Cel. | 0:13:39 | 0:13:42
-How you doing, my mate? What's your name? -Joel. | 0:13:42 | 0:13:45
Joel, beautiful, can I ask you a quick question, | 0:13:45 | 0:13:47
-has anyone seen the contents of this envelope? -No, it's top secret. | 0:13:47 | 0:13:50
Top secret. Love all that. Thank you very much, sir. | 0:13:50 | 0:13:54
OK. Last time. This week's Face Off is... Party Popper Pop. | 0:13:54 | 0:14:00
Presenters must race to pop balloons in search of a party popper. | 0:14:00 | 0:14:04
Party poppers are hidden inside selected balloons. | 0:14:04 | 0:14:08
Having found a party popper, they must pull their party popper | 0:14:08 | 0:14:11
and take a seat in the safety zone. | 0:14:11 | 0:14:14
The last loser standing must face the forfeit. | 0:14:14 | 0:14:16
In the event the decision is too close to call, | 0:14:16 | 0:14:18
we will go to a slow motion replay. | 0:14:18 | 0:14:20
The game begins on the sound of the klaxon. | 0:14:20 | 0:14:24
And now I'm going to have to leave you guys and go and wander over | 0:14:24 | 0:14:27
here to these three podiums where three forfeits wait to be revealed. | 0:14:27 | 0:14:32
Rich, for the last one, you've got to come and reveal what it is, mate. | 0:14:32 | 0:14:36
I swear on my life... | 0:14:36 | 0:14:41
-Oh! What's that? No! What is that? That smells! -Eggs. | 0:14:43 | 0:14:48
-That's a century egg. -Urgh! No! No! -What's it? | 0:14:48 | 0:14:55
I'm having no part in that. I'm having no part in that. | 0:14:55 | 0:14:59
Rich, go and give that a good whiff. Oh, George, mate. | 0:14:59 | 0:15:03
No, no, go and smell it. Go and smell it. | 0:15:03 | 0:15:06
-It stinks. -Let's get out of here. Let me see. | 0:15:10 | 0:15:15
So, this, ladies and gentlemen, this is known as a century egg. | 0:15:15 | 0:15:19
It's edible, it is disgusting and stinks. | 0:15:19 | 0:15:22
Number two, we move on from that. Urgh! Shannon. | 0:15:23 | 0:15:27
I just, I don't even have words for it any more. | 0:15:30 | 0:15:33
-You can't put it into words. -It's just a constant nightmare. | 0:15:33 | 0:15:36
We've got the costume, we've got the dog, | 0:15:36 | 0:15:38
it WILL be to sing a song from Annie on this stage. | 0:15:38 | 0:15:41
Or, I can now reveal, the Cel Spellman Salon, | 0:15:41 | 0:15:44
is back open for business, if this is the forfeit. | 0:15:44 | 0:15:47
Because it will be a canteen leftover facial! Urgh! | 0:15:47 | 0:15:50
Urgh! Get that in your face! Get that in your face! | 0:15:54 | 0:15:58
So, I should explain, them chairs over there, that is | 0:15:58 | 0:16:01
of course our safety zone. | 0:16:01 | 0:16:02
Take a seat in there and you will not have to face a forfeit. | 0:16:02 | 0:16:05
Be the last loser standing and it will be you. | 0:16:05 | 0:16:07
But there is a way to get a seat in there without even taking | 0:16:07 | 0:16:10
part in the challenge, that is if you pluck one of these lucky straws. | 0:16:10 | 0:16:13
So, guys, for the final time this series, I'm going | 0:16:13 | 0:16:16
to let myself go first this time. | 0:16:16 | 0:16:17
If I happen to stumble across a green one, | 0:16:17 | 0:16:19
going to go casually, not going to think about it, | 0:16:19 | 0:16:21
he'll have that one and it's not a green one, Cheers, see you later. | 0:16:21 | 0:16:24
-Cheers. -Let's do this. | 0:16:24 | 0:16:25
-Oh. -Here he comes. -Under pressure. | 0:16:29 | 0:16:33
I'll go with that one. Aw! | 0:16:35 | 0:16:37
Please, please, please, please! | 0:16:41 | 0:16:44
-I don't think there is one! -That could be the twist. There isn't one. | 0:16:44 | 0:16:49
FANFARE, SHE CHEERS | 0:16:49 | 0:16:51
No, no, there IS a green straw, we just didn't get it. | 0:16:51 | 0:16:54
So, Anais has got the lucky green straw, which means... | 0:16:54 | 0:16:57
-You're so lucky. -I am SO happy. | 0:16:57 | 0:17:00
Words cannot describe how lucky I am feeling right now. | 0:17:00 | 0:17:03
-You can always give it a go. Do you want to swap? -Can I make a request? | 0:17:03 | 0:17:07
-Will you sit in this seat? -Yes. | 0:17:07 | 0:17:09
Shannon, is there anything else you want to change while you're there? | 0:17:09 | 0:17:12
-Just get rid of the Annie costumes! -You guys ready? -So ready. | 0:17:12 | 0:17:16
-Anais, ready? -Oh, yes, oh, yes. -You guys ready? -Yes! | 0:17:16 | 0:17:22

Everything is awesome! | 0:27:18 | 0:27:20

that The Lego Movie is coming out on DVD. | 0:27:23 | 0:27:25
-I just think it's quite cool we got a Lego figure made of us. -Me, too. | 0:27:25 | 0:27:28
In fact, while me and Cel carry on playing with this, | 0:27:28 | 0:27:30

In The Lego Movie, an ordinary construction worker, Emmet, | 0:27:37 | 0:27:40
is thought to be the prophesised "Special" | 0:27:40 | 0:27:42
who can save the world from an evil tyrant | 0:27:42 | 0:27:45
who plans to glue the Lego universe together. | 0:27:45 | 0:27:47

now that we've been made into Lego figures. | 0:28:22 | 0:28:25
Hi, Friday Download, I'm America Ferreira | 0:28:25 | 0:28:27
from How to Train Your Dragon 2 | 0:28:27 | 0:28:29
and I do the voice of Astrid. | 0:28:29 | 0:28:31
And in How to Train Your Dragon 2 | 0:28:31 | 0:28:33
it's five years later than the first film | 0:28:33 | 0:28:36
so Astrid and Hiccup are now 20 years old. | 0:28:36 | 0:28:39
And they're living kind of in a utopia of Vikings and dragons, | 0:28:39 | 0:28:44
living together in harmony. | 0:28:44 | 0:28:46
But of course in the second film | 0:28:46 | 0:28:48
the conflict comes from people on the outside | 0:28:48 | 0:28:51
who don't believe in the way that Vikings live with dragons on Berk. | 0:28:51 | 0:28:55
Where have you been? | 0:28:55 | 0:28:57
Oh, you know, catching up with Mum. | 0:28:57 | 0:28:59

'when we're riding the dragons or falling off of dragons | 0:29:17 | 0:29:20
'or fighting or tumbling,' | 0:29:20 | 0:29:22
we have to use our bodies a lot. | 0:29:22 | 0:29:24
-SHE LAUGHS -Whoa! -Astrid! | 0:29:24 | 0:29:27
Well played. | 0:29:27 | 0:29:28
If you don't think it can get any better | 0:29:31 | 0:29:32
than winning Britain's Got Talent | 0:29:32 | 0:29:34
then think again. | 0:29:34 | 0:29:35
You could end up starring in your very own movie. | 0:29:35 | 0:29:38
Just ask Pudsey the dog. | 0:29:38 | 0:29:39
PUDSEY: This is great. | 0:29:39 | 0:29:40
On my own with nobody to bother me. | 0:29:40 | 0:29:42

We should give him something as a thank you. | 0:29:53 | 0:29:55
Great idea! Sausages. | 0:29:55 | 0:29:57
This has to be worth at least one sausage. | 0:29:57 | 0:29:59
-Oh! -Can we keep him? | 0:29:59 | 0:30:00
'You'd better watch your tail, Scooby-Doo, | 0:30:00 | 0:30:02
'there's a new dog in town.' | 0:30:02 | 0:30:04

-I'd love to take part. Thanks for offering. -Guys, are you ready? | 0:38:54 | 0:38:57
-So we'll do it with our studio audience. -OK. | 0:38:57 | 0:38:59
-Right, are you ready, guys? -CHEERING | 0:38:59 | 0:39:02
-There you go. -Love that. -Well, that is Music Download complete. | 0:39:03 | 0:39:07
CHEERING | 0:39:07 | 0:39:10
Welcome to What's Up Download | 0:39:14 | 0:39:15
where you guys send in your problems | 0:39:15 | 0:39:17
and we discuss them to try and find a solution. | 0:39:17 | 0:39:19
So today's issue has been sent in by Kate. | 0:39:19 | 0:39:22
When I first... When I moved, I was in the same position as Kate. | 0:39:44 | 0:39:48
I went from a primary school with 105 students | 0:39:48 | 0:39:51
-all the way up to almost 2,000. -Wow. | 0:39:51 | 0:39:54
And I think it's going to be scary | 0:39:54 | 0:39:56
because you don't know what to expect. | 0:39:56 | 0:39:58
I'm sure if you, like, be yourself, you'll be fine. | 0:39:58 | 0:40:01
It's probably easier moving from primary school to high school | 0:40:01 | 0:40:04
than it is to just move schools. | 0:40:04 | 0:40:05
Cos I moved schools in year nine and I was really, really scared | 0:40:05 | 0:40:08
because I didn't really have any friends at the time. | 0:40:08 | 0:40:11
But after, like, a couple of weeks, everything was cool | 0:40:11 | 0:40:13
and everybody was really friendly. | 0:40:13 | 0:40:15
When I moved up to secondary school, | 0:40:15 | 0:40:17
-I actually moved to a different area. -Oh, wow. | 0:40:17 | 0:40:20
So I didn't know anyone. I didn't know one person in the school. | 0:40:20 | 0:40:22
So it was quite scary on the first day. | 0:40:22 | 0:40:25
I mean, turning up, seeing almost 1,000 people in a room. | 0:40:25 | 0:40:29
-Yeah. -Like, new people chatting to each other and knowing each other. | 0:40:29 | 0:40:33
And turning up and being the only one, like, on your own, | 0:40:33 | 0:40:36
it was quite scary but I think you've just got to be confident | 0:40:36 | 0:40:39
and just show that you're, like, a good person | 0:40:39 | 0:40:42
and just try and socialise with people | 0:40:42 | 0:40:44
-and you gain friends quite quickly. -Yeah, class. | 0:40:44 | 0:40:46
That must have been really scary, moving completely on your own. | 0:40:46 | 0:40:49
Yeah, cos you normally go with friends, a lot of the time. | 0:40:49 | 0:40:52
I moved to a completely different school | 0:40:52 | 0:40:54
and I was really scared. | 0:40:54 | 0:40:56
I was just terrified of, like, whether I was going to fit in | 0:40:56 | 0:40:59
or whether people would like me or not. | 0:40:59 | 0:41:01
I just started to think, like, we was all in the same boat. | 0:41:01 | 0:41:04
Everybody was looking to find new friends and have a good time. | 0:41:04 | 0:41:07
Just be open, be friendly and be up for making friends | 0:41:07 | 0:41:10
and speaking to people. That is really important. | 0:41:10 | 0:41:13
Now, also, Ella Eyre, | 0:41:13 | 0:41:14
who was on the show a couple of weeks ago, | 0:41:14 | 0:41:16
gave us this advice. | 0:41:16 | 0:41:17
Even though you're leaving behind your old friends, | 0:41:17 | 0:41:19
you'll always have those friends | 0:41:19 | 0:41:21
and you can always see those friends as well. | 0:41:21 | 0:41:23
But going to a new school's exciting cos you're meeting | 0:41:23 | 0:41:25
loads of new people and loads of new friends | 0:41:25 | 0:41:27
and they're probably just as scared as you are. | 0:41:27 | 0:41:30
Thanks for that advice, Ella. | 0:41:30 | 0:41:31
And this is what 5 Seconds Of Summer had to say. | 0:41:31 | 0:41:34
If you're scared of moving schools from primary to secondary, | 0:41:34 | 0:41:37
I'd do that. | 0:41:37 | 0:41:40
But when I moved I was very scared, and I was not that cool at school, | 0:41:40 | 0:41:44
but I met these guys. | 0:41:44 | 0:41:46
I remember seeing you the first day. | 0:41:46 | 0:41:48
-I thought you were so cool. -Aw, thank you. | 0:41:48 | 0:41:53
You never know, you might meet some people and make a band. | 0:41:53 | 0:41:56
Or do whatever you like to do and you might meet new people | 0:41:56 | 0:41:59
that suit your personality better than the ones before. | 0:41:59 | 0:42:02
-You know what? You definitely will. -It's a big world. | 0:42:02 | 0:42:04
And it will be fine. | 0:42:04 | 0:42:06
How cool is that that 5 Seconds Of Summer actually | 0:42:06 | 0:42:08
met each other at school? | 0:42:08 | 0:42:09
So, I don't think that everybody's going to go and form a boy band | 0:42:09 | 0:42:12
when they move schools, but you can definitely make some new friends. | 0:42:12 | 0:42:15
And you guys have also been on the CBBC website | 0:42:15 | 0:42:17
leaving your advice on the message boards. | 0:42:17 | 0:42:19
-So I believe you've got some stuff here to read, haven't you? -I do. | 0:42:19 | 0:42:22
Brown Twirling Crock, she says, "I'm in year seven, nearly year eight. | 0:42:22 | 0:42:27
"I was worried when I joined secondary school, | 0:42:27 | 0:42:30
"but it surprised me when I made new friends so quickly. | 0:42:30 | 0:42:33
"You soon get used to all the different teachers and classrooms. | 0:42:33 | 0:42:36
-"You have nothing to worry about at all. Hope this helps." -Helps a lot. | 0:42:36 | 0:42:39
If you got new friends who are feeling a bit sad or down, | 0:42:39 | 0:42:42
you can always go over and give them a helping hand | 0:42:42 | 0:42:45
-and get them involved in your group of friends. -Definitely. | 0:42:45 | 0:42:48
That's some great advice. If you see somebody that is a bit on their own, | 0:42:48 | 0:42:51
involve them cos you'd want somebody to do that for you. | 0:42:51 | 0:42:55
There's another one from Peach Bass Buzzard. | 0:42:55 | 0:43:00
"On your first day you'll have a tour then you'll be happy. | 0:43:00 | 0:43:04
"It's OK to be nervous." | 0:43:04 | 0:43:06
-Great advice. Is it OK to be nervous. -It's terrible when you get lost | 0:43:06 | 0:43:10
and you're late for lessons, | 0:43:10 | 0:43:11
but the teachers always seem to give you a chance. | 0:43:11 | 0:43:14
I remember when I moved to my new school and we had a map. | 0:43:14 | 0:43:17
I was just looking around like, "Where do I go?" | 0:43:17 | 0:43:20
When I go up every year, you're not used to | 0:43:20 | 0:43:22
the classrooms that you're in, so every year you still get lost. | 0:43:22 | 0:43:25
When I moved to my secondary school we had this treasure hunt | 0:43:25 | 0:43:28
around the school just so you knew where the classroom was. | 0:43:28 | 0:43:31
-That was fun, I enjoyed that. -That's a good idea. | 0:43:31 | 0:43:33
I think I did use that as an excuse. | 0:43:33 | 0:43:36
Think I got to class late and I'm like, "Got lost." | 0:43:36 | 0:43:39
This is from Aqua Reading Gadget. | 0:43:41 | 0:43:43
"Try offering a shy or lost-looking person a seat next to you in | 0:43:43 | 0:43:46
"the lunchroom or in a class, and smile as much as you can. | 0:43:46 | 0:43:49
"Have fun and good luck." | 0:43:49 | 0:43:52
You look a lot more approachable if you smile. | 0:43:52 | 0:43:55
Now, I hope you all have a wonderful summer holidays. | 0:43:55 | 0:43:57
And remember, when you start school in September, don't be nervous. | 0:43:57 | 0:44:00
Just think of all the advice we've given you | 0:44:00 | 0:44:02
and you'll have a great time. | 0:44:02 | 0:44:04
But for now, that's What's Up Download complete. | 0:44:04 | 0:44:06
Hi, I'm Anais. Welcome to Style Download and welcome to my bedroom. | 0:44:11 | 0:44:15
I love fashion. | 0:44:22 | 0:44:23
And I'm always trying to recreate styles using my own clothes. | 0:44:23 | 0:44:27
But I thought I'd share my tips with you guys at home. | 0:44:27 | 0:44:29
Today, I'm going to show you | 0:44:29 | 0:44:31
how to make a pair of shorts from an old pair of jeans. | 0:44:31 | 0:44:34
You're right, Anais. | 0:44:34 | 0:44:35
Shorts made from old jeans are definitely a must-have this summer. | 0:44:35 | 0:44:39
All you need is a pair of old jeans, a marker and some scissors. | 0:44:39 | 0:44:43
Right, let's get styling. | 0:44:43 | 0:44:45
My little tip is to use a marker to mark where you want to cut, | 0:44:48 | 0:44:51
but you can use some chalk. | 0:44:51 | 0:44:53
Doing this means you've more control of the length of your shorts | 0:44:53 | 0:44:56
and you're more likely to get a straight line. | 0:44:56 | 0:44:58
Take your marker and mark a line front | 0:44:58 | 0:45:00
and back about halfway between where your waist and knee is. | 0:45:00 | 0:45:03
If I was a boy, I would mark just below the knee. | 0:45:05 | 0:45:07
But you can make these shorts whatever length you want, | 0:45:07 | 0:45:10
it's totally up to you. | 0:45:10 | 0:45:11
Now, take your scissors and cut along the markings. | 0:45:14 | 0:45:17
If you make a little slit it's easy to insert your scissors | 0:45:17 | 0:45:19
and cut along the line. | 0:45:19 | 0:45:21
If you're one of our younger viewers, | 0:45:22 | 0:45:24
get an adult to help you with this bit. | 0:45:24 | 0:45:25
Once you finish cutting, don't throw away your excesses, | 0:45:27 | 0:45:30
you can use them to customise other bits of clothing. | 0:45:30 | 0:45:33
Your shorts should now look like this. | 0:45:38 | 0:45:40
The next step is to get an adult to put them in the washing machine. | 0:45:40 | 0:45:43
When they come out they should look like this. | 0:45:43 | 0:45:47
You can even pull on them yourself to fray them even more. | 0:45:48 | 0:45:51
If you've missed any of that here's a quick recap. | 0:45:51 | 0:45:54
Step 1 - take an old pair of jeans | 0:45:55 | 0:45:57
and mark out where you want your shorts to start using a marker. | 0:45:57 | 0:46:02
Step 2 - use a pair of scissors, cut along the markings. | 0:46:02 | 0:46:06
Step 3 - pop the shorts into your washing machine | 0:46:08 | 0:46:11
to get a frayed edges effect. | 0:46:11 | 0:46:14
I've got my finished shorts. | 0:46:14 | 0:46:16
All I need to do now is to put them on to hit the streets | 0:46:16 | 0:46:19
to see what you lovely lot think. Come on. | 0:46:19 | 0:46:21
-Hi. -Hi. | 0:46:31 | 0:46:32
-Do you like my shorts? -Yeah. -I made them myself. | 0:46:32 | 0:46:35
-Hm. -You get a pair of old jeans. -Yeah. -And you take a marker pen. | 0:46:35 | 0:46:39
And you mark where you want to cut them, so you get a nice line. | 0:46:39 | 0:46:42
And then you cut them. | 0:46:42 | 0:46:43
And then you pull them a bit and put them in the washing machine. | 0:46:43 | 0:46:46
Then you get these nice little frayed bits. | 0:46:46 | 0:46:48
Which ones would you wear in the summer? | 0:46:48 | 0:46:50
The shorter ones because you might get a little bit more hotter | 0:46:50 | 0:46:53
-and these look like they're more for boys. -Yeah. | 0:46:53 | 0:46:56
-Hi. -Hi. -Do you like my shorts? | 0:46:59 | 0:47:01
I love them. They're fabuloso. | 0:47:01 | 0:47:03
Do you think you guys are going to make these? | 0:47:03 | 0:47:05
I really will make them. | 0:47:05 | 0:47:07
-Hi, guys. -BOTH: Hi. | 0:47:09 | 0:47:10
-Do you like my shorts? -BOTH: Yeah. | 0:47:10 | 0:47:12
-Are you guys going to try and make them at home? -BOTH: Yeah. | 0:47:12 | 0:47:15
How long do you think you're going to have them? | 0:47:15 | 0:47:18
-About here... -Oh, just above your knee? -Yes. | 0:47:18 | 0:47:21
It seems like everybody loved my shorts. | 0:47:26 | 0:47:29
I love taking old clothes and making them into new ones. | 0:47:29 | 0:47:31
I guess fashion's just in some people's genes. | 0:47:31 | 0:47:34
That's Style Download complete. | 0:47:34 | 0:47:36
Welcome to Hot or Not where we're joined by Bars & Melody. | 0:47:41 | 0:47:44
Guys, let me explain how this works. | 0:47:47 | 0:47:49
Hot or Not is the part of the show where we bring up topics | 0:47:49 | 0:47:52
and we discuss whether they're hot or not. | 0:47:52 | 0:47:54
And if we think they're hot, we're going to sit on, what side, Cel? | 0:47:54 | 0:47:57
-This side. -Correct. | 0:47:57 | 0:47:58
And if not, then we're going to sit on this side. | 0:47:58 | 0:48:01
Since you're newbies, | 0:48:01 | 0:48:02
why don't you start us off with the first suggestion. | 0:48:02 | 0:48:04
We've got a web suggestion from Indigo Rapping Giraffe. | 0:48:04 | 0:48:08
The hot topic is Secret Languages. | 0:48:08 | 0:48:12
Me and Charlie have experience with secret languages. | 0:48:12 | 0:48:16
-Have you got your own? -Yeah. | 0:48:16 | 0:48:18
Merk is milk. | 0:48:18 | 0:48:20
-It's just everything with an E and R instead of the main... -Letters. | 0:48:21 | 0:48:24
-Vowels. -Yeah. -How would you say hello? | 0:48:24 | 0:48:27
Herlo. | 0:48:27 | 0:48:28
-Cabbage would be like... -Cerbbage. | 0:48:31 | 0:48:33
Could you have a little conversation for us in your own language? | 0:48:33 | 0:48:36
Yeah. | 0:48:36 | 0:48:37 | |
Bercon derble cheesberger. | 0:48:37 | 0:48:39
-Is that bacon double cheeseburger? -Yes. | 0:48:39 | 0:48:41
Mersh poterto. | 0:48:41 | 0:48:43
Mash potato. | 0:48:43 | 0:48:44
We had one at school. Dionne, I don't know if... | 0:48:44 | 0:48:47
We were at school together. | 0:48:47 | 0:48:48
Ours was called uvaguv. | 0:48:48 | 0:48:50
Oh, yes. | 0:48:50 | 0:48:52
-Do you know it? -I know of it, yeah. | 0:48:52 | 0:48:53
That's one I was going to say. | 0:48:53 | 0:48:55
Can you speak it? How do you hello, how are you? | 0:48:55 | 0:48:58
Herlo, her are you? | 0:48:58 | 0:49:00
In uvaguv that would be... | 0:49:00 | 0:49:01
HE SPEAKS UVAGUV | 0:49:01 | 0:49:04
I think I'm going to stay on Not for this one. | 0:49:04 | 0:49:07
It always gets so confusing with different letters with phrases. | 0:49:07 | 0:49:12
But then if you use it, | 0:49:12 | 0:49:13
-nobody's going to know what you're talking about. -Exactly. | 0:49:13 | 0:49:17
-He got your one straight away. -Ours is more funny. | 0:49:17 | 0:49:19
If you have a genuine secret language then it's going to be amazing. | 0:49:19 | 0:49:23
And you're going to seem really clever as well. | 0:49:23 | 0:49:25
Like, "Oh, he knows a secret language." | 0:49:25 | 0:49:26
I can't even learn a normal language, | 0:49:26 | 0:49:28
-let alone a secret language. -Are we on Hot or Not? | 0:49:28 | 0:49:32
I'm on Not. | 0:49:32 | 0:49:33
HE SPEAKS UVAGUV | 0:49:33 | 0:49:36
Is that Hot or Not? | 0:49:36 | 0:49:38
I haven't got a Hot or Not. | 0:49:38 | 0:49:41
It's an audience member. | 0:49:41 | 0:49:43
-What's your name? -Kyam. | 0:49:43 | 0:49:44
What is your Hot or Not? | 0:49:44 | 0:49:46
Colour coordinating. | 0:49:46 | 0:49:48
Come join us for this. | 0:49:50 | 0:49:52
I want to go for Hot anyway. | 0:49:52 | 0:49:53
-Do you think it's Hot or Not? -Hot. | 0:49:53 | 0:49:55
Follow me over here. | 0:49:55 | 0:49:58
-Oh, no, I'm right. I'm wrong. -Sorry, dude. | 0:49:58 | 0:50:01
You're into fashion. | 0:50:01 | 0:50:04
Same colour t-shirt, same colour shoes. | 0:50:04 | 0:50:05
Can I just say... | 0:50:05 | 0:50:08
You are actually are colour coordinated. | 0:50:08 | 0:50:10
You're cool. | 0:50:10 | 0:50:13
We're cool as well. | 0:50:13 | 0:50:16
See, it's not cool if you don't do it right. | 0:50:16 | 0:50:18
You are right. | 0:50:18 | 0:50:20
What about denim on denim? | 0:50:20 | 0:50:21
I like double denim. | 0:50:21 | 0:50:24
You've got to have a certain look to pull it off. | 0:50:24 | 0:50:28
I've rocked it on the show once, actually. | 0:50:28 | 0:50:30
# She's a dedicated follower of fashion. # | 0:50:30 | 0:50:34
Talk me through the outfit. | 0:50:34 | 0:50:37
Got the high tops, which are bright. | 0:50:37 | 0:50:39
And then you've got not too much yellow... | 0:50:39 | 0:50:41
Just enough to bring out the trainers. | 0:50:41 | 0:50:45
Just the perfect amount. | 0:50:45 | 0:50:46
This kid could be a fashion designer. I'm not even joking. | 0:50:46 | 0:50:49
-Would you have a bracelet on? -Yeah. | 0:50:49 | 0:50:51
Same sort of colour? | 0:50:51 | 0:50:53
-A necklace or a bracelet. -I'm going to go Hot. | 0:50:53 | 0:50:57
You'd have to have them different colours. | 0:51:00 | 0:51:03
See, I don't think I really think about it. | 0:51:03 | 0:51:06
Come over, you know it's hot. | 0:51:06 | 0:51:08
You're black, white, black, white right now. | 0:51:08 | 0:51:11
You're doing it. | 0:51:11 | 0:51:13
Come over here. | 0:51:14 | 0:51:16
Yes. So we're all Hot. | 0:51:17 | 0:51:19
My Hot or Not is actually sand castles. | 0:51:19 | 0:51:24
And as you can see, there's one right here. | 0:51:24 | 0:51:27
-What are you doing, guys? -Just spreading out. | 0:51:29 | 0:51:31
I purposely moved actually | 0:51:31 | 0:51:34
because I don't like the beach, sand, | 0:51:34 | 0:51:38
so sand castles aren't for me. | 0:51:38 | 0:51:40
When you're on the beach and you go into the sea... | 0:51:40 | 0:51:44
you're going to come back out, you're going to sunbathe, | 0:51:44 | 0:51:47
you're going to walk across the sand | 0:51:47 | 0:51:48
and then it sticks to you. | 0:51:48 | 0:51:50
And then you have to go wash in the outside showers. | 0:51:50 | 0:51:55
It's not actually sand, it's building sand castles. | 0:51:55 | 0:51:58
Yeah, but they're associated with sand, I'm not a sandy man. | 0:51:58 | 0:52:02
It gets stuck in your feet. | 0:52:02 | 0:52:04
Come and join us. | 0:52:04 | 0:52:06
The worst thing is putting your socks on after | 0:52:08 | 0:52:11
going on the beach and having to walk | 0:52:11 | 0:52:13
and pulling your shoe off when you go home and go like that... | 0:52:13 | 0:52:15
But that's why they have showers. | 0:52:15 | 0:52:18
Yeah, but then you always have to walk on sand. | 0:52:18 | 0:52:20
And then... | 0:52:20 | 0:52:22
I'm getting angry now. | 0:52:22 | 0:52:23
If you're making a successful sand castle, | 0:52:25 | 0:52:27
the joy you get out of looking at it, see. | 0:52:27 | 0:52:31
-Don't you feel overjoyed? -How do you feel, Dionne? | 0:52:31 | 0:52:34
I feel underjoyed, actually. | 0:52:34 | 0:52:36
If that's even a word. | 0:52:36 | 0:52:38
I've got two younger brothers and when I make | 0:52:38 | 0:52:40
sand castles on the beach, they always come over and smash them. | 0:52:40 | 0:52:43
That's part of the fun, though. | 0:52:43 | 0:52:44
Sorry, guys. | 0:52:44 | 0:52:47
I just think they're such a fun thing to do on the beach, | 0:52:50 | 0:52:54
you can get together with your family and do it. | 0:52:54 | 0:52:56
Maybe that's a boy thing. | 0:52:56 | 0:52:58
THEY SPEAK OVER EACH OTHER | 0:52:58 | 0:53:00
I used to like creating a moat around it. | 0:53:00 | 0:53:02
But then the water goes through the sand. | 0:53:02 | 0:53:05
I don't like sand, but I don't mind building sand castles. | 0:53:05 | 0:53:11
-It's not hot, it's not hot. -It's not hot. | 0:53:11 | 0:53:13
So guys, we want to know what you think about building sand castles | 0:53:13 | 0:53:16
so if your opinion is different to ours, get on the CBBC website | 0:53:16 | 0:53:19
after the show, and let us know on there. | 0:53:19 | 0:53:21
