Once, there was a zoo where of different animals lived.

ANIMALS: Hello.

One of the animals was a donkey.

Donkey had a big field all to himself.

He liked his field but it was a bit lonely.

Donkey kept looking at the field next door

where Zebra lived.

Oh, I wish I was a zebra, too.

Then we could be friends.

Hee-haw!

Then donkey had an idea.

He looked in his dressing-up box

and found a black and white stripy coat.

He slipped it on and he pulled up the...

zip.

Now I look like a zebra.

Then he jumped into Zebra's field.

-Hello, I haven't seen you before. Would you like to play?

-Yes!

So they played zigzag chase.

It was such fun that Donkey started to laugh.

Hee-haw.

-Hee-haw.

-That's an unusual laugh.

I know. Hee-haw. Let's play hide-and-seek.

Donkey used his stripy coat to blend in with Zebra's fence.

Zebra couldn't find him.

Ha! Here I am. Hee-haw!

Then they rolled around in the dust and made a huge dust cloud.

BOTH: Achoo!

Finally, they did lots of star jumps.

But Donkey got carried away and the zip on his stripy coat burst.

Hee-haw! My coat's fallen off!

-You're not a zebra?

-Sorry.

I was just pretending so we could be friends.

You don't need to pretend to be a zebra to be my friend.

I like you, Donkey, just the way you are.

Now Zebra and Donkey play every day,

sometimes in Zebra's field, and sometimes in Donkey's.
