Hello.

..who loved magic.

So much she went to a magic show.

I can't wait for the show to start.

As the curtain opened,

a magician appeared

in a puff of smoke.

Who would like to help me

with a trick?

Hippo had always wanted to be

a magician's assistant

so she leapt onto the stage.

I can help.

The magician was thrilled

with his new assistant.

Hippo will now help me

conjure up a rabbit.

As the magician spoke,

helpful Hippo gave him his wand.

Here you go.

But, as she did,

she accidentally waved it

and magicked the magician into a...

hen.

Whoops. Sorry, Mr Magician.

Poor Hippo felt terrible

for ruining his trick.

Then she spotted something

that might save the day.

It was the magician's magic hat.

Hippo picked it up

and popped it on the hen's head

and, with a tap of the wand,

the magician reappeared.

Oh, dear, Hippo, we still haven't

conjured up a rabbit.

But Hippo had an idea.

She took the wand

and, with a big swish,

she turned herself into a...

rabbit.

The magician was overjoyed

and gave the rabbit a big hug.

And, in a puff of smoke,

the rabbit turned back into Hippo.

Well done, Hippo.

What a brilliant trick.

You have saved the show.

And, as the crowd applauded,

the magician took a bow

with his brilliant new assistant -

the amazing magical Hippo.
