'Max is only six and Grandpa is his grandpa too.'

'They don't see each other often,

'but when they do, they have a great time.

'just as Jemima and Max came back with Dad.'

Where's Grandpa?

He must have gone for a little lie-down.

But I thought he was going to play with me!

Grandpa's always having little lie-downs, Max.

-It's because he's old.

-He'll be up and about soon.

'Dad was right.

'Grandpa was up and about, only now he was dressed as a hairy caveman.

'Luckily, everyone else was too busy admiring Stone Age World

'to see Grandpa jumping off the counter and climbing onto the chair.

'He got there just in time.'

Put him on the table, Max. Let's see him.

Wow! That's brilliant, Max! It's so lifelike!

He's gone for a little lie-down.

'I had a funny feeling Grandpa was in trouble and I was right.
