but it always works out all right in

We call it teamwork. | 0:02:11 | 0:02:15
Today, Grandpa and I were helping
Auntie Jules with her latest hobby. | 0:02:15 | 0:02:20
Just keep still, Elsie. Hat
decorating. | 0:02:20 | 0:02:22
Wonderful! I think it needs just
a little bit more pink. | 0:02:22 | 0:02:26
Just then, one of our friends turned
up. Riddle-dee-ree! | 0:02:26 | 0:02:30
It was Mr Yomper Stomper, smiling as
usual and singing as usual. | 0:02:30 | 0:02:35

You're cheerful this morning, | 0:02:50 | 0:02:53
Mr Yomper Stomper. | 0:02:50 | 0:02:53
Always, Grandpa, always. Here, have
a leaflet. | 0:02:53 | 0:02:56
It's my latest scheme to bring joy
and laughter | 0:02:56 | 0:02:59
to the residents of Sunnysands. | 0:02:59 | 0:03:01
Donkey rides on the beach! Yay!
I love donkeys! Oh, me too! | 0:03:01 | 0:03:06
I think it's a wonderful idea.
What time do the rides begin? Oh! | 0:03:06 | 0:03:10
Half an hour ago. I've been so busy,
I forgot! | 0:03:10 | 0:03:13
Mr Yomper Stomper is
always forgetting. Must dash. | 0:03:13 | 0:03:16
Geronimo my donkey will be wondering
where I've got to. | 0:03:16 | 0:03:20
See you there later, eh? Yes, see
you later! | 0:03:20 | 0:03:23
If we go now, we can be first in the
queue. Good idea. | 0:03:23 | 0:03:27
I'm looking forward to this. | 0:03:27 | 0:03:29
I haven't had a donkey ride since I
was a boy! I don't think you should. | 0:03:29 | 0:03:33
What if you fell off? | 0:03:33 | 0:03:34
It's too dangerous at your age.
I'm fitter than you think! | 0:03:34 | 0:03:38
We'd be worried about you. | 0:03:38 | 0:03:40
You can come with us,
but maybe just to watch. | 0:03:40 | 0:03:43
Grandpa was sad. He really wanted
to ride on a donkey. | 0:03:43 | 0:03:47
Grandpa decided to come to the beach
with us anyway. | 0:03:47 | 0:03:50
So off we went in Campo. | 0:03:50 | 0:03:53
Auntie Jules drove us down
the country lanes, over the bridge, | 0:03:53 | 0:03:57
past all the pretty-coloured houses, | 0:03:57 | 0:04:00
until at last we got to the sea and
our beach hut. | 0:04:00 | 0:04:04
Mr Yomper Stomper let me be
the first to have a ride. | 0:04:04 | 0:04:07
I'll look after your hat, Elsie. | 0:04:07 | 0:04:09
You look wonderful, Elsie. Oh, yes,
we were all ready for... | 0:04:09 | 0:04:14
But Geronimo wasn't moving. | 0:04:20 | 0:04:23
Oh, fiddle-dee-fees!
Sorry about this slight hiccup. | 0:04:23 | 0:04:26
Perhaps you better get off, Elsie. | 0:04:26 | 0:04:29
So Mr Yomper Stomper helped me off
Geronimo. And then Grandpa said... | 0:04:29 | 0:04:35
Let me have a go.
Oh, you mustn't ride the donkey. | 0:04:35 | 0:04:39
I know how to get him going. | 0:04:39 | 0:04:41
You'll only make yourself tired. You
haven't had your lie down, have you? | 0:04:41 | 0:04:46
No...not yet. You'll feel so much
better for it. | 0:04:46 | 0:04:49
I knew what Grandpa was thinking,
so I went after him. | 0:04:49 | 0:04:54
I've got to have a go on that
donkey! But how? | 0:04:54 | 0:04:56
Auntie Jules isn't going to let you.
Luckily, I brought this. | 0:04:56 | 0:05:01
Not the shrinking cap, Grandpa! | 0:05:01 | 0:05:03
Catch me if you can! | 0:05:03 | 0:05:05
You know what happens when my
grandpa shrinks, | 0:05:05 | 0:05:09
he runs and jumps all over the
place and I can't catch him. | 0:05:09 | 0:05:13
He zooms about in Jason's car | 0:05:13 | 0:05:15
and he goes chuff-chuff
in a Sunnysands train. | 0:05:15 | 0:05:18
And one of the best things he
does is flying in the plane, | 0:05:18 | 0:05:22
doing big circles all around the
room. | 0:05:22 | 0:05:25 | |
He gets on my Mrs Ostrich and makes
her fly too. | 0:05:27 | 0:05:31
And sometimes he goes for ride in
my brother Josh's helicopter. | 0:05:31 | 0:05:35
He's so small, he can hide in teeny,
tiny places. | 0:05:35 | 0:05:39
And he can be very hard to find. | 0:05:39 | 0:05:42
He gets up to mischief wherever he
goes! The toy shop, | 0:05:42 | 0:05:47
the cafe, | 0:05:47 | 0:05:49
Bob's boat | 0:05:49 | 0:05:52
and now the beach. | 0:05:52 | 0:05:54
Grandpa wanted to get onto the
donkey, but Mr Yomper Stomper | 0:05:54 | 0:05:59
and Auntie Jules were there so he
couldn't. | 0:05:59 | 0:06:02
Oh, bother! | 0:06:02 | 0:06:04
Why don't we put his water
way over there, | 0:06:04 | 0:06:06
then he'll have to walk over
to get a drink. | 0:06:06 | 0:06:09
Riddle-dee-ree, riddle-dee-ree,
the best idea there could be. | 0:06:09 | 0:06:13
Grandpa had to duck out of the way. | 0:06:13 | 0:06:16
Auntie Jules put the bucket down far
away from Geronimo. | 0:06:16 | 0:06:21
We waited and waited. | 0:06:21 | 0:06:24
But the donkey wouldn't move! | 0:06:24 | 0:06:27
I knew he wouldn't. OK...maybe he's
hungry. | 0:06:27 | 0:06:31
What if we used a carrot instead? | 0:06:31 | 0:06:34
Riddle-dee-ree, riddle-dee-ree, the
best idea that there could be. | 0:06:34 | 0:06:38
No, I've got the best idea. So
Auntie Jules went to get a carrot | 0:06:38 | 0:06:42
and Grandpa had to duck again. | 0:06:42 | 0:06:45
She put it down far away from
Geronimo, | 0:06:45 | 0:06:49
hoping that he'd come to get it. | 0:06:49 | 0:06:51
We waited...and waited! | 0:06:51 | 0:06:55
But still he wouldn't move. He won't
move! | 0:06:55 | 0:06:59 | |
Fiddle-dee-fee! All the children
will be so disappointed. | 0:06:59 | 0:07:03
Don't be upset. I'll make a cup of
tea. There's a kettle in the hut. | 0:07:03 | 0:07:07
But I'm supposed to be lying down on
the beach hut. | 0:07:07 | 0:07:10
Grandpa should be in there but he's
gone! Gone?! | 0:07:10 | 0:07:13
I'm sure he's not far away. I better
go and look for him. | 0:07:13 | 0:07:17
Elsie, stay with Mr Yomper Stomper.
I had to talk to Grandpa. | 0:07:17 | 0:07:21
Oh, dear! What am I supposed to tell
Auntie Jules? | 0:07:23 | 0:07:27
It'll be OK, Elsie. | 0:07:27 | 0:07:28
I've just got to find a way to get
on the donkey without being seen. | 0:07:28 | 0:07:32
Any brilliant ideas? Hmm. | 0:07:32 | 0:07:35
Yes, I have, actually. Wait here. | 0:07:35 | 0:07:38
Mr Yomper Stomper, do you think
Geronimo might be too hot to walk? | 0:07:39 | 0:07:44
I don't know, Elsie, maybe. | 0:07:44 | 0:07:47
Cos he can borrow my big straw hat
if he likes. Really? | 0:07:47 | 0:07:50
Oh, that's very kind of you. | 0:07:50 | 0:07:53
Now, that is a brilliant idea.
Clever girl. | 0:07:53 | 0:07:57
Riddle-dee-ree, he looks grand!
I must take a photo. | 0:07:57 | 0:08:02
While Mr Yomper Stomper was looking
for his camera, | 0:08:02 | 0:08:06
Grandpa climbed up the donkey's leg, | 0:08:06 | 0:08:08
then he hid in the flowers on the
hat. | 0:08:08 | 0:08:12 | |
Grandpa began to whisper very
softly in Geronimo's ear. | 0:08:12 | 0:08:16
You ready, old chap? | 0:08:16 | 0:08:18
Shall we take a stroll down the
beach? | 0:08:18 | 0:08:21
Come on...I know you can do it. | 0:08:21 | 0:08:25
Smile, Geronimo. | 0:08:25 | 0:08:27
Grandpa ducked out the way
a third time! | 0:08:27 | 0:08:29
SHUTTER CLICKS | 0:08:29 | 0:08:31
Then Auntie Jules came back. I can't
find Grandpa anywhere! | 0:08:31 | 0:08:35
Here, borrow my binoculars. Look!
He's moving! | 0:08:35 | 0:08:39
Must be the hat! It works wonders!
Come on, Geronimo! | 0:08:39 | 0:08:43
Oh, Geronimo! This is wonderful! | 0:08:43 | 0:08:46
Makes me feel like a little boy all
over again. | 0:08:46 | 0:08:49
Grandpa had got his way at last. | 0:08:49 | 0:08:52
Auntie Jules looked
and looked for Grandpa, | 0:08:52 | 0:08:54
but she couldn't see him anywhere. | 0:08:54 | 0:08:57
I can't see him. | 0:08:57 | 0:08:58
Perhaps he's gone to look at Bob's
boat or to the cafe for ice cream. | 0:08:58 | 0:09:02
Don't worry, I'm sure he's having
a lovely time. | 0:09:02 | 0:09:05
I'll have one last look
and if I can't find him, | 0:09:05 | 0:09:08
I'm calling the police. | 0:09:08 | 0:09:10
This was a disaster! Just then, | 0:09:10 | 0:09:15
Geronimo came back. | 0:09:10 | 0:09:15
He was giving my friend Tommy a
ride. | 0:09:15 | 0:09:18 | |
Look at me, Dad. Any sign of
Grandpa? I'm afraid not. | 0:09:18 | 0:09:22
Stay with Elsie, I'll be back in
a minute. Whoa, Geronimo! Stop! | 0:09:22 | 0:09:26
Whoa, Geronimo! I had to get through
to Grandpa. I needed a plan. | 0:09:26 | 0:09:31
That was great! Thanks! | 0:09:31 | 0:09:33
Dad, Dad, can I have an ice cream
now? | 0:09:33 | 0:09:37 | |
Auntie Jules is
so worried about Grandpa | 0:09:37 | 0:09:40
that if she doesn't find him soon,
she's going to call the police! | 0:09:40 | 0:09:44
The police?! Oh, no! | 0:09:44 | 0:09:47
I've got to go. Hope you can manage
without me, old chap. | 0:09:47 | 0:09:51
Thanks for a fabulous ride! | 0:09:51 | 0:09:55
Sorry, but I'm going to need my hat
back. Yes, of course. | 0:09:55 | 0:09:59
So, Mr Yomper Stomper gave me the
hat and I put it down on the sand. | 0:09:59 | 0:10:04
Grandpa escaped! He ran behind the
beach hut. | 0:10:04 | 0:10:09
He took off his shrinking cap and
came back to his normal size. | 0:10:09 | 0:10:14
Not at Bob's boat or Miss Smiley's
cafe. I'm calling the police. | 0:10:15 | 0:10:20
No! Give him a few more seconds,
please! | 0:10:20 | 0:10:23
I'll do another tour of the beach,
see if I can spot him. | 0:10:23 | 0:10:27
Come on, Geronimo. | 0:10:27 | 0:10:29
I had no idea what Grandpa
was doing now. | 0:10:29 | 0:10:31
Why hadn't he come out from behind
the hut? | 0:10:31 | 0:10:34
What's this hat doing in the sand? | 0:10:34 | 0:10:37
This is the last time
I take Grandpa tot he beach. | 0:10:37 | 0:10:40
The very last time! And then this
happened. | 0:10:40 | 0:10:44
Look who I found. Grandpa! Where
have you been? | 0:10:44 | 0:10:48
Waiting for my ride, that's all. | 0:10:48 | 0:10:50
We had a lovely afternoon on the
beach | 0:10:52 | 0:10:55 | |
and then it was time to go home. | 0:10:55 | 0:10:58
So Auntie Jules drove us in Campo
back the way we'd come. | 0:10:58 | 0:11:02
And Grandpa was so tired after all
his adventures, he had a little nap. | 0:11:02 | 0:11:07
Soon we arrived at the Mill on the
Marsh. | 0:11:07 | 0:11:11
Grandpa and I ran in ahead. | 0:11:11 | 0:11:14
Oh, that was great fun, wasn't it? | 0:11:14 | 0:11:17
Apart from Auntie Jules nearly
calling the police. | 0:11:17 | 0:11:20
True, but it all worked out
fine in the end. | 0:11:20 | 0:11:23
HE GASPS | 0:11:23 | 0:11:24
There's something we forgot to do.
What? Teamwork. | 0:11:24 | 0:11:28
Oh, yes. Silly us! Teamwork! | 0:11:28 | 0:11:32
BOTH LAUGH | 0:11:28 | 0:11:32
What a lovely day! And it was all
thanks to my hat. | 0:11:32 | 0:11:37
