It's a brand-new term and CBBC have sent these

four magicians back to school.

They are some of the hottest magicians in the country.

But when they're not in your classrooms,

they're out in public, thrilling families.

If you fancy yourself as a magician,

here's a trick you can try on your mates.

James has four beakers of water, a tray,

four rolled-up playing cards

and four hard-boiled eggs.

That's hard-boiled eggs, not raw.

Remind you of anyone?

With the table set up like this,

James will show you how to get

one egg into each beaker

while only touching one object

and without breaking any of the eggs.

Can you work out how to do it?

It's going to be incredible.

Right now, though, John is at a car museum

and he's about to get

up close and magical.

We're going to do a little card trick and I need somebody to help me.

Would you mind helping me

with this one, Ross?

Wonderful. Pick a card for me.

Just take any card.

Just dive in and have a card. Any one at all. Wonderful.

What I'd like you to do for me, if you would, please,

is to sign your name across the card.

Nice and big. Big, bold letters,

Ross! Excellent.

Now, Ross, be perfectly honest,

-is that card unique?

-Yes.

There's no other card in the world like that one.

What we'll do is try something

unique with your unique card.

I'll take your card and place it

in the middle of the deck, about here.

Remember, Ross has marked that card

that's going in the deck.

Would you mind holding the cards, Matthew?

Just put them on your hand like that

and put the other hand on top.

In a moment, I'll ask you

to shuffle those cards for me.

When you've shuffled the cards,

I have got a prediction in my wallet

and the prediction in my wallet says exactly

where your card will be

in that deck.

So give them a little shuffle for me.

That's enough. I'm happy.

-Are you happy?

-Mm-hmm.

-Wonderful.

Shall we look at the prediction?

You see, inside my wallet, there's a little zippered compartment,

a secret little place where I keep my prediction.

And inside there is my prediction

and my prediction says...

It's in here.

Would that be amazing?

The card that you picked and the card that you signed

is no longer in the deck but it's in here.

-Would that be good?

-I need proof.

You need proof? We all need proof.

That's what we survive on.

We survive on proof, Ross!

Take the envelope.

What was your card?

-Jack of hearts.

-Jack of hearts.

Tear it open.

I'm excited. Are you excited?

-Is that your signature?

-Yeah.

-Cool.

I need to check the deck.

Check the deck, yeah, because you might have signed two. Err!

He's checking the deck, he's checking the deck. Check the deck.

See if there's another one like this with exactly the same signature.

Wow. He's not easily impressed, this Ross. Has John met his match?

-Is that good?

-Yes, he likes it!

Hoo! Get me a coffee!

Don't know about coffee, John needs a lie down.

Ross wrote his signature on the jack of hearts,

then it disappeared from the pack

and appeared in his wallet instead.

Is that your signature?

It was really, really awesome.

Really, really epic.

Now it's time for James to reveal the secret in Tricks Of The Trade.

James will show you how to get

one of the hard-boiled eggs

into each beaker while

only touching one object.

And without breaking any of the eggs.

Come on, have you worked it out?

Do you use a complicated pulley system?

No, not even close.

Here's how you do it.

Hit the side of the tray in one clean sweep

and the eggs will fall into the beakers.

Go on, James, do it.
