Ah! Well, here we are at the beach, and it is a beautiful day!

But I don't know where Owen is, who invited me here!

It's so fantastic to meet all of you!

Owen, are we actually going to go kayaking?

Yeah, and we're going to have a picnic too.

I have a delicious recipe that we could cook together.

-D'you want to make it?

-ALL: Yeah!

Ah, brilliant! Come on, follow me! I'll show you.

ALL: Ya-a-aay!

Welcome to my outdoor kitchen, everybody! Who's excited?

ALL: Me!

-Are you ready to do some cooking?

-ALL: Yes!

I'll tell you what today's recipe is. It is Fig and Fudge Biscuits!

ALL: Mmmm!

They look good! But before we get started on the cooking,

we've got to do something important. Do you know what it is?

-ALL: Wash our hands!

-That's it! Let's get going, team!

# Roll up your sleeves

# Give your hands a wash with Slippy-dippy soap

# Splish splash splosh

# Have you done your hands? Washed and dried?

# Sleeves rolled up

# Apron tied

# What can you do? I can cook! #

Well, let's get started on our fig and fudge biscuits!

That's quite hard to say, isn't it?

Fig and fudge! Can you say that?

ALL: Fig and fudge!

But can you say "Fig and fudge" quickly, like this?

Fig-and-fudge, fig-and-fudge, fig-and-fudge!

ALL: Fig-and-fudge, fig-and-fudge...!

I can say it really quick! Fig-and-fudge!

Oh, that was really good! Now the first thing we're going to do,

and I know that you like it, is TICKLING!

-Yeah, I love tickling!

-So do I!

Now to tickle, we need to get out our tickle fingers!

So put your fingers in front of you and go, "Tickle-tickle-tickle!"

ALL: Tickle-tickle-tickle!

Fantastic! OK, get your tickly fingers,

and we're going to dive our tickly fingers into

this bowl with butter and flour.

Ready? W-o-o-oop!

That's it, get right down to the bottom. So dig down deep!

-Can you feel the bottom?

-ALL: Yeah.

Now I want you to squeeze with your fingers, as tightly as you can!

Squee-e-e-ze!

And then we need to keep squeezing

and keep tickling until...everything is mixed together.

Everyone go, "Tickle-tickle-tickle!"

ALL: Tickle-tickle-tickle!

Don't forget to tickle at home. Have you got your tickle fingers?

That's it, and tickle away!

-Look at my fingers!

-Aah!

-I'm a big monster. Ready? Ra-a-a-ar!

R-r-r-rr!

There we go.

That's just enough tickling.

The next ingredient we need is a fig, because we couldn't have

fig and fudge biscuits without a fig, could we?

No, cos then it would just be fudge biscuits!

That's right! It would just be fudge biscuits.

Now, a fresh fig looks like this! It's really yummy.

The fig can be dried, and a dried fig looks like this...

like it's been out in the sun for too long and gone all wrinkly.

Can you pretend to be a fresh fig turning into a dried fig?

Why don't we do it together? So, let's be a fresh fig!

And then we dry up in the sun, like this!

SMOOSH

You look like a little bunny rabbit!

We need to snip the stalk off our fig,

and to do that we need to use our scissors!

But remember, be safe with scissors.

Everybody knows that you point them down towards your...

ALL: Toes!!

You've got it, team! So let's snip off the stalk. Sn-n-ip!

Next, we're going to rip this fig in half. R-r-rrip!

Then, we just need to snip these two bits,

with our scissors, into small pieces.

So, let's get snipping. There we go.

And then put your scissors down once you've finished snipping.

OK, now sprinkle the fig into the bowl. Ready? Woo-hoo!

Who likes sweet things?

ALL: Me!

I love them, which is why we're going to add some sugar.

So watch this. Ready? Sugar-shuffle, sugar-shuffle, sugar-shuffle!

-Sugar-shuffle, sugar-shuffle...

-Ha-ha-ha!

So, what's the next ingredient going to be for our biscuits?

What's next? Well, let us see if you can guess what it could be?

What would you choose for our fig and fudge biscuits?

We've got some fudge...a lemon...and some strawberries.

I'll give you some clues and then you can try and guess

what it might be.

OK, here's one. The special ingredient is sweet.

Well, lemons are really sour, aren't they?

So we can definitely take lemons away.

OK, here's another clue.

The special ingredient is sweet, and...it's NOT a fruit.

Well, strawberries are definitely a fruit, aren't they?

So let's take that one away, too.

There we go. Which leaves us with fudge.

We're going to need some fudge for our fig and fudge biscuits.

And I went to make some!

I've come to a shop in Windsor to find out how fudge is made,

so let's go inside and have a look. Come on!

This is my friend Patch, who's going to help me. Hello, Patch!

Hiya! Fudge, Katy, is made of sugar and cream.

They melt together to give fudge its lovely, creamy taste.

-Can I have a go, Patch?

-Of course you can.

-It's very hot.

-Very, very hot now.

Fudge has to be at just the right temperature

before we can pour it out.

Wow, that is amazing!

As the fudge cools down, it changes colour,

and it becomes more like modelling clay.

We have to shape it into a big, long loaf, and we're nearly done.

And all we need to do now is slice it.

-There you go.

-Thanks, Patch.

So here it is, our lovely fudge, all ready to use in our biscuits.

Can't wait!

I really enjoyed making this fudge. It was really interesting!

Now, you've got some fudge on your tables too.

They look like litle fudge building blocks. What do they feel like?

They're really squishy.

-Can you imagine if you had a house made out of fudge?

-I would eat it.

You would eat your house! Oh, that would be delicious!

OK, let's put this fudge into our bowl with our other ingredients.

There we go.

OK, next we need to give everything in this bowl a good mix,

using our spoon. There we go.

-What are we going to do, everybody?

-ALL: Dig down deep!

And you can mix with us, too.

You just need to get your bowl and then you need to get your spoon,

and you go, "Mix, mix, mix!"

And now it's time to get our hands really messy!

Ya-a-ay!

Who likes getting messy?

ALL: Me!

We're going to make a fig and fudge mountain,

and I'll show you how to do it.

You need to put your hands into the bowl, squeeze the mixture together

so you make a mountain at the bottom of it.

Look at this.

Look at my mountain!

Toby, that's fantastic!

Pick the mountain up, look at that.

Ooh! And put it on your mat.

Pick it up REALLY carefully.

-I've done it!

-And then once you've got your

mountain on your mat, we're going to make it into a long sausage.

Push it down flat.

And make it into a sausage shape.

It looks like a caterpillar, actually!

A fig and fudge caterpillar!

OK, now we need to

split everything into eight pieces.

So, split it in half...

and then, we split these two pieces in half

like this.

And then, we split

each of these pieces in half!

So, let's count all of our pieces.

One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

Beautiful!

Pick up each piece and put it in your hand,

and then we're going to roll it, like this...make it into a ball.

And then put that there.

Katy, look at what I've made.

Avy Ru, that looks absolutely perfect!

OK, everyone, show me your hand like this,

and then give it a wave...cos we're going to use this hand

to flatten our fig and fudge balls.

ALL: Squash, squish, squash.

And that is it! You did it! You put the ingredients together

for your fig and fudge biscuits by yourself.

Well done! Now we just need to put them in the oven.

But remember, ovens are hot, so don't go near.

Toby, I think your biscuits look fantastic!
