we're going to play rock music! So what do we need to know?

Rock stars are famous musicians who play in popular rock bands.

They play their songs on guitar and drums.

Rock stars like to play loud,

so they sing into microphones which are plugged into speakers.

The speakers make their voices sound really loud.

Rock stars travel all around the world playing concerts

that are often called "gigs".

They travel in a van or tour bus with all their equipment.

When rock stars play live,

the drummer keeps time for the song, so the drummer usually counts

one, two, three, four,

and then the song begins.

Well, I love drumming, so I should be good at that.

So that's everything we need to remember. Do we need anything else?

Hmm, some sort of plastic thingy.

What would a rock star do with that?

I guess we'll find out. So we've got everything we need - let's go!
