Carpenters are specially trained craftspeople,

who use tools to make things out of wood.

They can make small things, like furniture,

and big things, like buildings and sheds.

Carpenters sometimes wear a tool belt

to carry their most handy tools.

Wood is often bought in long planks and cut down to size with a saw.

And carpenters join wood together in lots of different ways.

Sometimes they use a special type of strong glue.

I love sticking things together!
